Overcook 2 is a sequel to a successful game on the console and Paladins has been speculated for a long time. And why would they put a random indie arcade game from five years ago on a list with Monster Hunter, Fortnite, and Dragon Ball? Makes no sense.

Oh yeah, it's also a random image on the internet. Totes believable they're always true.

https://www.destructoid.com/the-lat...ortnite-and-dragon-ball-fighterz-505575.phtml

Some looks real, but even I had Fortnite, DBZ coming to Switch at E3. Overcooked 2 would be the big one if real.

Switch this upcoming holiday

Smash Bros 5
Fifa 19
Pokemon Let's Go
Paladins
Yoshi
Team Sonic Racing
Fire Emblem
Fortnite

With the usual evergreens from last year and this year:

MK8D
Zelda Botw
Odyssey
Splatoon 2
Tennis Aces

And of course the highly rumored GTA5

And that's not even counting surprise E3 announcements or September direct games ala Doom/wolfenstein

I'd say things are shaping up pretty well guys

Edit: cross posting from another thread

All signs point to the 2019 pokemon game having high production values

Qv1qlte.gif

The fact that they've been working on the 2019 game since before Switch came out and they've been referencing this game as the thing they've been talking about this whole time like at E3 2017... woo baby. With Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee, they bought themselves another year for polish and content for the big game. This thing is gonna selllll

I'd love to see a new 2D castlevania (metroidvania). Ds was full of those and it was glorious.

I'm sorry my first instinct after seeing a fake looking leak is to call it fake. You have better odds if you assume every leak is fake.

This one had all the hallmarks of a real leak though, the context behind the list (dimensions for the signs, even the type of PVC substrate), the left field game like Killer Queen, and professional looking logos for unannounced games. This one looked real from the get go.

It also had the hallmarks of a fake leak, print out, all the logos but two were known beforehand, this could've easily been faked.

Bets on how long the E3 video will be? I'm betting >35 minutes
So last year was 25 minutes. I definitely believe it will be longer due to more games to be shown. My only "worry" is if it's a Nintendo Direct style, then they might fly through announcements so they could announce like 30 games in 30 minutes and won't need much time.

Sure, but only by someone who has intimate knowledge of the process behind ordering/producing signs for events like this. That already cuts down the chances of some rando being able to fake it significantly.

Just like the 3D printed fake, someone needed very specialized knowledge to be able to fake it. That doesn't mean it couldn't be fake, but I think it warrants a lot more attention than a typical fake list.

I'm hoping for at least 45 using the same format they've been using recently. It's kind of a big ask given the fast pacing, but I'm really hoping for something meaty.

Treehouse provides a lot of extra content to watch, but it's just not as exciting as the initial directs.

Dang 45 minutes is crazy, especially if it's Nintendo Direct style. The code on their website does say "Nintendo Direct" so it's possible it will be fast paced. They would more than likely do the "spotlight" segments for like 4-5 games, where they get like 5-7 minutes of the spotlight.

I would think Smash and Fire Emblem would be spotlight games.

Hmm. Interesting, seems like the E3 video wasn't given the spotlight title because Nintendo will have more to show. The Spotlight term they use are for main titles, in the directs they gave them a bit more time and info. Last Direct, it Was Mario Tennis. Last Year, it mostly all First Party titles and Rocket League/Mario Rabbids.

I'm guessing they E3 video will have more then 25 minutes, of course this just me speculating. Still, really glad DBZF is close to being announced, would've been disappointed if it wasn't mentioned at E3

Having something longer to sit down and watch is just something I've always enjoyed about past E3s. It's the reason I went to the theatre showings of Sony's presentations with friends in past years.

Given several companies have had far too long and boring conferences in years past, but Nintendo is on other side of the spectrum right now, giving us a something so short that it still leaves me wanting.

Also I'm feeling a bit crazy :D

25 minutes was way to short and Reggie announced it like a day or two before, which took a lot of air out of the balloon. All I kept doing is watching the time and the Spotlight. It didn't make it a good watch for me. I want it to be longer. It wasn't even a well put together presentation. I'll take the Nintendo Direct style over what they had last year and over 35 minutes.

Nintendo has a lot more games from third party devs too. Nintendo hasn't officially announced the name of the presentation. I think when they do announce it they'll also announce the length of it.

That leak looks like a real leak of the signs for the public "arcade" section of their showfloor booth - the selection of games gives me the same vibe as what they brought to PAX East - an assortment of 3rd party, indie, and minor 1st party games. Smash wouldn't be expected on there since it will have its own separate area and won't need signs over each screen telling you that it's Smash. Same goes for any other major title that they might have playable.

Last year had 2 giant filler sections and they still managed to put out 6-7 trailers for games, 2 teasers and some smaller mentions of previously announced stuff.

Even if they remove the filler I doubt it's enough time if they have more stuff to show than last year, especially since most of the stuff for this year will be "first looks"

I think the shortness of Nintendo's main presentation is great. They get most of the big announcements out there with just enough details to satisfy people while still leaving them wanting more. And then they have hours upon hours of treehouse footage and discussions that should make anyone happy and entertained the whole week.

READ MY LIPS: NO NEW GAMES.

...for 2018. If you subscribe to the hopelessly optimistic belief that there will be 2019 games, obviously there will be some announcements. But I sincerely don't expect anything yet unannounced for 2018.

If there are 2019 games? Animal Crossing seems to be a safe bet. Retro's game, possibly. And with Takahashi's comments, Wave Race seems weirdly likely, or at least not unlikely.

I just want a longer presentation. 25 minutes was too short. I need at least 35 minutes. I want a meal not a snack lol. And I want a better edited presentation which is why I prefer a Nintendo Direct style. It's fast, efficient and to the point. Of course Reggie can talk for a minute here and there.

Ignoring the fact that I've been outspoken about not really liking Reggie for PR/presentation in the past, I'd really love to see the new President of NCL make a strong appearance as he apparently speaks English.

but the game is fun, and also a battle. a look, a feel, an exploration

i unironically want more of that shit

Nope! Not for Switch, at least. I don't really speculate on 3DS stuff anymore, it's too unpredictable

I was going to mention it would be cool if Furukawa spoke during the Direct.

Seriously. There will not be a newly announced Switch game for 2018. The alleged release schedule is crowded as fuck already, and considering the inevitable trickle of ports like the rumored NSMBU and Metroid Prime Trilogy... nah. Read my lips: no new games.

I've already got an avatar bet with a few users. If I lose, I have to use a lovely picture of Sailor Moon Chibi-Robo as my avatar beginning after the presentation and until the next Nintendo Direct. The same duration applies for the avatars I've created for other users. If you two want in, I'd be happy to bless you with my art

EDIT: if you guys want to add some new conditions to make it worth it for you, that's a-okay

EXTRA EDIT: as I've discussed earlier in the thread, I'm talking about games published by Nintendo

EDITING AGAIN BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO TRIPLE POST: for instance, Ridge Racer is probably real and 2018

yeah that was an oversight on my part, sorry. I've been peddling my spiel for a few pages now about how we aren't going to see anything new from Nintendo or their publishing partners themselves this year

again, that's my bad

i'll still take the bet that there won't be any switch games at all if it'll make you feel better, but that's hardly a bet at all for you

EDIT: if reggie decides to cancel everything to punish leakers, this is the glory you could experience if you want

EDIT AGAIN WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME: hahaha i did the same thing pages ago

I meant Nintendo only, that's my bad

(also Fire Emblem though, yes)

I think 30 minutes is a reasonable expectation for length. Anything less is disappointing, and anything over that is good.

Is this suppose to be a joke? Was the gif suppose to distract us from how ridiculous it is and how it flies in the face of logic and history?

To me, this doesn't sound logical:
* Game-Freak/Nintendo just a few days ago announced 3 Pokemon games for release this year.
* In January, they announced Nintendo Labo, which was released 3 months later.
* Last E3, they announced Samus Returns, which was released 2 months later.
* There are currently no new IPs published by Nintendo, apart from Octopath Travereler.

And yet, there would not be any new Nintendo-published title for release this year?

It would be good in that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 December time slot this year. Cozying up with a new Animal Crossing during Christmas time sounds right.

That's what I'm saying. It even sort of makes sense to release it in the fall before Halloween or something. That way you get a bunch of in game holidays leading up to the end of December and the new year.
