São Paulo, Brazil
I'm very jealous of a close friend of mine who got to go to the world premiere here in São Paulo earlier today.

Ready to bawl like a baby.

It's the first episode in the series that J Michael Straczynski didn't co write though, which I thought was odd.
True, but he may be more into the sci fi/mystery trappings, and I assume they're focused on just giving these people a mostly feel good ending. I will be surprised if it's anything else, since the shows main thrust has been a celebration of diversity and sexuality.

i really liked the first series, as daft as it was, is the second one actually worth a go? it didn't seem to garner as much discussion.

I would say the second season was much better, except for the cast change which really hurt, given how important the ensemble nature of the cast is to the show.

IndieWire - 'Sense8' Series Finale Review: Lana Wachowski Delivers a True Gift for Fans

One thing that's truly lovely about the way in which the finale works is that it doesn't try to pull any fast ones on its audience; it's saturated with love and respect for its fanbase. The term "fan service" gets thrown around a lot in criticism, usually as a bad thing: Pandering to those who love a franchise, at the expense of the storytelling.

But in a situation like this, when the show knows it is literally getting one last chance to tell this story, leaning toward the concept of fan service is honestly the best move. And thus the series finale is literally a service to the fans, and it delivers.

"Sense8" already had a happy ending, thanks to the announcement that there would be a series finale. But what's been delivered will not disappoint.

Hell yes, this show was amazing. I don't remember really what the hell was going on but I'm definitely in for this.

I'm going to try to wait. I've always viewed the Wachowski's ad kindred spirits and made the wise decision to dole out the last season. I think I may do a rewatch of the entire saga.

Easily worth a view, it was better than the first. Sucks cause of how it advances everything only for us to se edit had been canceled. It's really upsetting that the show won't ever reach its full potential as a result:(

DailyDot - 'Sense8' finale delivers a queer happily-ever-after

With a decent balance of screentime between the leads and their assorted hangers-on, this episode provides a satisfying ending for the fans. Lana Wachowski and her co-writers kept introducing more worldbuilding details until the bitter end, but what else would you expect? It's a glimpse of what might have happened in season 3, and while the conclusion is unavoidably rushed, it gives us the emotional closure we need.
