Today's been rough as a Crew fan. First the new stadium renderings down in Austin coming out; word finally leaking out that the front office has spent the past few months, if not years in Austin securing the deal, and tomorrow being when it's supposed to be finalized and perhaps even announced; not to mention the number of supporters of other teams now doing an immediate 180 after seeing those renderings and saying how happy they'd be for a team there after being against it for so long.

I just want this to be over. I'm exhausted and tired of this. I'd rather the announce it already and expose themselves for who they are than drag this along any further under the guise of "we're not moving yet"

I'm so sorry. No stadium render will take away the bullshit, and anyone who's switched from "this is bad" to "this is good" are all horrible people (unless they are from Austin).

This whole Columbus ordeal is enough to sour me on the league as a whole. It's so fucking gross and amateur.

It's been pathetic to watch this happen and I genuinely feel for the Crew fans as a whole; any I've met have been great people who deserve better than this garbage. To add trash on top of trash, the way FC Columbus has been treating their few supporters has been ridiculous to watch as well, which is a pity because they played a decent match up here last weekend and the two dudes who traveled seemed cool.

That's a really cool looking set - but are they just keeping all the money or is anything going to LGBT+ causes?

It is here where I bemoan the fact that MLS doesn't have a top-tier live commentary like the BBC does for the Premier League.

Or does someone, and I've never seen it?

Bah, that's a rough loss. I think all the fans expected it, but it still sucks. Fuck Spicy Dave for stealing our boys.

I'd give you my thoughts on CLBvTFC, but I'm still laughing at Michael Bradley costing Toronto the game

Next week will be fun. On National TV and some of the FC Cincinnati supporters groups are stopping by Mapfre for the game.

I can't find the tweet now but someone was asked about this and only two MLS clubs made their players available to him O_o
I feel like we could have won that one if we hadn't lost both Adams and Parker to Spicy Dave. We just got too decimated to beat a play-off level squad. Really hoping we manage a win in the Open Cup match.

Boy, the Austinites supporting the move from Columbus are getting... restless. They're now attacking the Austin USL team that is supposed to start play next season.

This was a good read. It really highlights how dysfunctional Gulati's US Soccer was and how blinded he had become by Klinsmann's charisma.

The Ringer: Own Goal: The Inside Story of How the USMNT Missed the 2018 World Cup

In October, the United States failed to qualify for the World Cup for the first time in more than 30 years. A loss to Trinidad and Tobago sealed their fate, but according to players, coaches, commentators, and executives across American soccer, the disaster doesn't come down to just one unfortunate result. No, it was the culmination of nearly a decade of mismanagement that broke the team's spirit and condemned them to failure.

Thanks, it's a good read.

It's depressing that all of the content these days is either failure analysis regarding the WC campaign or "here's what the USMNT roster would be if they were playing in the World Cup this Summer". Blargh.

Man. Imagine being black playing soccer that you're trying to act Latino/white. Wtf usa
Like the article says, a lot of kids don't see themselves when they look at the game internationally and even locally at times. I mean, look at the stars that MLS pushes: not a lot of black dudes. It's basically BWP and Jozy Altidore at this point and until recently the league was more than happy to ignore BWP in it's marketing despite his consistently high level of play.

Luckily things look to be changing in regards to the US national team, the kids coming up are a pretty diverse lot. All that said, it's going to be a process.

I can't wait for part 3 of that article series though.

Yall watching the US Open Cup? North Carolina just scored a golazo by what can only be described as bootleg Zlatan:

Fake edit: Oh shit the kit sponsor

How dare you

When Jozy and Bradley stop taunting The Massive, maybe they'll get back off the list.

Blackhawks is non-negotiable as a Wings fan but the salary cap will annihilate them sooner rather than later
