Lol you're acting like the other movies were good. Only the first Jurassic Park is anywhere close to great.
First Jurassic Park would've been nitpicked to hell by today's nerds too.

The kitchen sequence with the raptors.
The kid characters and Alan Grant's arc with them.
The death of the dude on the toilet.
"Nothing happens in the first half"
Etc.

No. I hated it.

I am hoping one day shitty cash grab movies like this will die and we will have a new generation of blockbuster film makers similar to Spielberg and Cameron with actual craftsmanship who will direct good big budget movies. Fury Road cannot be the last good big budget action movie we see for another decade. I refuse to believe it.
You movie purists are so entertaining in with the trash you spew.

The insecurities are just screaming through these posts

World was awful, this looks just as bad.

Hopefully the series can be rebooted once this ones out. Shame it'll get bums on seats just like the travesty that was Bayformers.

There hasn't been a single enticing trailer but I'm one of the proud few who loved Jurassic World (I have my boxing gloves on) so I'm still hyped.

It's not about the directors, it's about the studios. Capeshit and reboots are pretty much the entirety of tentpole filmmaking now. No one is putting up the money for original ideas or risky artistic choices.

JW was pretty shit, and all three of the originals were better imo. Not surprised this is more of the same.

Would you? In this political climate?

It is very easy to confuse creative bankruptcy with creative cowardice

Jurassic Park: 5/5
Jurassic Park. The Lost World: 4.5/5
Jurassic Park 3: 3.5/5
Jurassic World: 3/5

I think this will get in the same place as 3 or perhaps Jurassic World.

You're gonna cop a lot of heat for giving Lost World a score like that

For mine it's closer to:

Jurassic Park = 5
Lost World = 3.5
JP3 = 2
Jurassic World = 3

I had no idea J.A. Bayona directed this--it immediately went from "wait for 4K" to "see in theaters." I don't really get the shit this series gets. It's about dinosaurs eating people. Every entry has been competent in that regard.
Cause they are boring and not thrilling unlike the first film. Nothing close to the kitchen scene in these new films. So they don't even deliver on the fanservice.

This is surprisingly high. Given the views are saying the plotting is even more ridiculous than JW, I think I might actually be in. Don't get me wrong, it'll be trash, but they've been trash since The Lost World. JP3 even has a dream scene where a raptor wakes Alan in a jump scare by yelling Alan's actual name.

I also love the shit out of that trashy-ass poster.

Maybe Jurassic world 2 has a dream scene where the raptor dreams about Chris Pratt making raptor noises

That EW review has me believing its another movie in which everyone who's supposedly an expert acts like a moron for the sake of plot progression. Pass.

The first one skated by with some nostalgia but the actual plot and actions of characters broke suspension of disbelief way too much.

I've never been more confident that a decently well reviewed film will be fucking awful.

RT critical consensus is in: Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom adds another set piece-packed entry to the blockbuster franchise, although genuinely thrilling moments are in increasingly short supply.
