Lol you're acting like the other movies were good. Only the first Jurassic Park is anywhere close to great.
Surprised there aren't more reviews. Quite a lot of the U.S. press seem to have seen the film alongside international.
It's written by Trevorrow, of course it's mindless. He's a worse writer then Michael Bay.
First Jurassic Park would've been nitpicked to hell by today's nerds too.
The kitchen sequence with the raptors.
The kid characters and Alan Grant's arc with them.
The death of the dude on the toilet.
"Nothing happens in the first half"
Etc.

Hopefully the series can be rebooted once this ones out. Shame it'll get bums on seats just like the travesty that was Bayformers.

There hasn't been a single enticing trailer but I'm one of the proud few who loved Jurassic World (I have my boxing gloves on) so I'm still hyped.
Ah. Thanks for the info. I got excited when I saw the reviews were being posted thinking that it was out this weekend.
It's not about the directors, it's about the studios. Capeshit and reboots are pretty much the entirety of tentpole filmmaking now. No one is putting up the money for original ideas or risky artistic choices.
JW was pretty shit, and all three of the originals were better imo. Not surprised this is more of the same.

Well I don't really mean politically risky, just artistically innovative. Fury Road took a lot of risks just with its structure and overall tone.

For mine it's closer to:
Jurassic Park = 5
Lost World = 3.5
JP3 = 2
Jurassic World = 3
Cause they are boring and not thrilling unlike the first film. Nothing close to the kitchen scene in these new films. So they don't even deliver on the fanservice.

This is surprisingly high. Given the views are saying the plotting is even more ridiculous than JW, I think I might actually be in. Don't get me wrong, it'll be trash, but they've been trash since The Lost World. JP3 even has a dream scene where a raptor wakes Alan in a jump scare by yelling Alan's actual name.

That EW review has me believing its another movie in which everyone who's supposedly an expert acts like a moron for the sake of plot progression. Pass.

Damn, Jurassik Park 3 being one of the few movies I hate (which is a shame since I like Joe Johnston a lot), I'm scared.
