Thanks guys, I assumed it had something to do with last week being my first clears.

Anyone have the Agamid Hand Cannon from Dead Orbit yet? Range looks decent and it has Alloy Magazine/Armored-Piercing rounds and Rampage.

I recommend the lost sector west of bray facility it's a hive one with lots of thralls

when it comes to weapons it depends on preference. Nameless is still good but VG and GL are dominating the range game at the moment. For a energy weapon I would recommend either nature of the beast (hand cannon) inaugural address (pulse rifle) the trusty ureils gift (auto rifle) is still a beast but in the end if you really want stay meta just stick to GL.

No, it has to be the burn from the explosion that kills any enemy in order to count. It took about 10 minutes I'd say but the Castellum is pretty good. Get the 4 precision shots to activate the 5th explosive round and then headshot a red bar Cabal with full health and watch them burnout.

Looks like my 385 dream aint happening this week. Hoped for 2 points per for 5 milestone/each raid. Milestones indeed gave me 2, Normal Leviathan 2, so far so good. But then...Eater of Worlds didn't even raise me one point. Went from maybe like 380.0 to 380.7

That only leaves Spire of Stars and Prestige Leviathan for loot this week (ignoring Ep I guess, 9 man teams too much of a pain IMO, plus it's like one armor from the chest). Neither of which I've ever done before. And even if both gave me two points on the high side, I'd only be 384, and that'd be like, actually completing both (highly doubtful). Plus, I assume I'll have to deal with the whole "gotta get the drop for those 1-2 missing random slots that take forever to get 385" when I get close, routine. Probably next week, if even.

Also lagging on my DO tokens, total at ~300 on day 2. I turned them all in hoping for a full set of faction armor, but of course got everything but one, the helmet.

I would say wait until Forsaken, most likely there would be a bundle for base game+DLC1/2+Forsaken. But if you can get the base game (and the first season pass) for cheap, why not ? I only have base game D2 and played around 110 hours after launch before putting the game down (note that I don't even do endgame activities), now still occasionally jump back everytime there are event ongoing. I enjoyed my time it and definitely get my money's worth.

I really should have chosen two different factions for my two characters instead of the same one. I figured it'd be a lot more time consuming to get to 50 but I'm already at 20 or so.

Went with FWC for the Sunshot Catalyst. I was tempted by DO for the Graviton Lance but that gun feels good enough already and I only play PvP for the weekly milestone. Sunshot feels like it could end up being my all-time favourite exotic.

Yea I think going either or is fine, i definitely will be getting the Sunshot catalyst next. Although I'd love to see how the SB one turns out as well before making a choice

I'm using Titan for my Token farming, but I don't if someone discovered a better token farm.
1 Public Event + 1 Patrol -> Rig Lost Sector

Anyone else has a better strategy? I'm still Rank 20 and I don't think I'll have much time this weekend :/

Can I get a catalyst from Faction Rally without having the weapon? I'm doing NM for the armor but when I eventually get Sweet Business is like to be able to use the catalyst. Haven't played in a while so I missed out on getting it from Xur.

I'll love that one, I play 9 crucible matches before breakfast.

I assume you need to have the weapon unlocked to receive the catalyst? I can't check since I have all 3 weapons already.

Did some more farming last night and went up another 15 ranks so I'm currently 25. The grind isn't actually that bad so I'll def be able to max out the rank before it ends. Just did a few hours a night. If I didn't have a job, easy max rank.

I found it easier/quicker to just forget about renown and jump to public events wherever they're active. Doing the winding cove PE twice in a row is a really quick 10 tokens. Then on the second you could also pick up a patrol and jump into the lost sector. That makes around 18 tokens total in like <8 minutes. If you can't trigger a repeat, there's always another PE starting up in the gulch afterwards

I only have the Titan DO chest piece ornament left. a slower slog than expected since completing a HPE makes me go to a LS to complete the Renown for tokens instead. Hopefully I can get max rank and then finish it off.

Don't the faction rally vendors disappear once the week is over? Worst case I guess I can just get it on the second faction rally week this season, not that I'd use Sweet Business much I would like to actually get it after all the grinding I'll have done.

Xur should have it soon if past history is any indication, been over 6 weeks and he seems to stock it every 6-8.

They don't, and you can keep on turning in tokens a week after the rally is over.

After that, any left over tokens will be automatically deleted from your inventory.

Wait.

I've been banking my tokens and planned on doing the objectives this weekend. But someone on Reddit is saying that even though Faction ranks are shared through all three characters, the objectives for the ornaments are not account wide.

Is that true? Do I need to do the same objective three times for every single ornament, which is the complete opposite of how ornaments have worked in Destiny 2 this whole time?

The ornament requirements are pretty easy, too. I did all of them (except the 25 HPEs) on one character yesterday without thinking about it. The crappy part is needing three full armor sets, which is pretty RNG-dependent.

They have issues finding the sweet spot. They tend to swing from one extreme to another.

RNG Protection is my biggest complaint right now. Doing 100+ strikes, EPs, adventures, or whatever and still not getting X thing is total bull fuck. Especially when others are getting the same items on their first attempts.

I'm getting the the New Monarchy ornaments on all of my characters in the next faction rally. All of them look great.

Honestly, for stuff like this, I'd have liked to have seen them drop automatically in the first 6 engrams. Damn shame.

The biggest problems with Destiny's grind as it stands is that A) you know exactly what you're going for, so everything that isn't that is a disappointment (i.e. you have all your stuff at the soft cap max except your boots, so now everything that isn't boots is automatically worthless, and there's no way to seek out specific equipment so if you're chasing a particular thing you're just SOL), B) that the content variety isn't there to make the grinding feel anything less than repetitive (Renown actually helps a bunch with that since you have some control over the difficulty scaling on public activities, but seriously guys, give rifts nao), and C) there's too many damn content gates. I hit another soft cap last night - at max power 273, I stopped getting drops over base power 265. Milestones got me over it again, but seriously, why.

I just signed in with my Hunter which I haven't used this week and he is already pledged to FWC like my Titan is.

Yeah, it's account wide. You still need to do the achievements and stuff per character, though.
