That's cool to know. Maybe I'll take that Wednesday off just for fun. I was going to take the whole week but we're looking into moving into a new place in August or September so I think I want to take a week off for that instead. Of course, why unpack when I can play?
Haha I actually did that exact thing back when I was raiding. Was an officer in my guild and it was Ulduar launch week.... set up my PC first and laid on the hardwood floor JUST in time to make raid night.
We moved from California back to Florida at the end of August last year and I missed my raid nights of Sunday and Wednesday but I could have set up in the hotels but I just didn't feel like going through all of it lol. So I gave everyone the week off and I think everyone appreciated that.
it is most definitely a swamp - I kinda forgot what humidity felt like. But at least everything around me is no longer on fire! One of my members lived in LA during those crazy fires last year and he was like "I'm not evacuating. I have characters to level."
Well, at least WoW is playable on a laptop and iphone tether when the power goes out from hurricanes!
I'm sure there is a streaming service where you could play from your phone too, lol
Been focusing on mount grinding lately. Just did the Brawl Ranks 1-8 today for the mount and the fishing one yesterday. With the Brawl you can skip mechanics and burst everything down.
Up to about 330. 400 seems very far off. I need to a do a bunch of the Glory of the Dungeon and Raiders ones, but they are so much work.
There will be a lot of new ones to get in BFA at least. But yeah, this is the time to be grinding those old ones if you don't have any Mage Towers or something you want to wrap up before BFA.
It says I have 430 total mounts but for the achievement it only counts usable mounts. You can check how many usable mounts you have in achievements, statistics, and searching mounts. On my paladin it says I have 380 mounts. Kinda prefer the hearthstone 400 mount since it's a flying mount.
I can't even imagine getting to 430 with current content.
Also just booted up the new Beta build with my characters. All the artifact traits are greyed out, including the fishing pole!
Edit: OMG my legendaries are level 265. lol.

Getting back into the game after leaving near the start of Legion (my guild was progressing Emerald Nightmare and starting Trial of Valor).
I was wondering what kinda stuff there is to do now or what I should be doing in preparation for BFA?
Any guidance/tips would be much appreciated!

Start the Argus campaign. Once you're on Argus you get random drop tokens for 880 gear and you can also start collecting Argunite (random drop currency on Argus) to turn in for 910 gear tokens. Do everything on Argus and you'll gear up pretty quickly. From there you can start doing Antorus LFR, PUG Normal, etc.
As far as stuff that's going to be gone once the prepatch lands, there are the Challenge artifact appearances from the Mage Tower on the Broken Shore, the Trial of Valor transmogs and the Chosen title, and the Field Medic title. Maybe some other stuff too that I'm not remembering.
I actually ended up moving my character to Nagrand, because I figured that living in Japan, Oceanic servers would be more my time zone.
Any Reset players on Nagrand that would be willing to take in a lonely, cold, 110 Frost DK Worgen? I'm still building up my ilvl (only 883 atm), but I'm going to be playing BfA pretty regularly.
Anyone plan on buying a Long Boi auction mount in BfA?
I'll probably get one sooner or later, might take a bit of doing though. It's a lot of gold to give up, but I think it'd be worth it to have over time, for not only me, but anyone I'm playing with.

Eventually, yes. Almost certain I won't have enough to buy it immediately, though. Probably going to have to build up my followers on a few characters and get the gold rolling in again.
Doesn't seem worth it. That's like the 5mil mount right? Comes with auctioneer so you can pretend to get value but really auctioneers are free and you just paid 5mil to use a fancy portable one ;)
Probably. I don't really have anything to spend gold on.
Also this world-wide release screws up my vacation plans from work. I took off the 14th-15th :/

I am glad we are getting more skimpy transmog options for both genders. I just wish they were more universally accessible across all races and armor types (Legion added a bunch that were only for leather/demon hunters). When do we get to make bare chested barbarian style plate transmogs?

We're all spread out but in BfA a community feature will be launched and we'll most probably create an Era community.
Also Scroll of Resurrection is dead but you can either ask a GM for some game time to play around for a week or so or check your account. After taking some time off I've found that I have some game time I can claim but that might as well be a relic of the past as SoR as it was years ago.
God damn, congrats! Plenty of time to mess around and you just might see the pre-patch as well.
Even if we did have a guild, there's still the NA/EU split, plus differing interests/skill-levels/schedules. Like, I don't think the community would be big enough to field a mythic raid team, even with a centralized place to be. This community has always been notoriously console-centric.
As for looking for guilds - realm forums, wowprogress, maybe raider.io, maybe reddit. Are the places I'd look first.
But if you're not into raiding, those probably don't help that much. Right now is a really awkward time to be looking for a guild too since we're sorta in a dead time. You'll probably have better luck closer to launch or at launch when more people are returning.

Something called Communities is coming in BFA. Maybe that could help people find each other.
Welcome back and enjoy Legion, my favorite expansion to date.
Communities are like one of my most hyped parts of BfA. It'll be great to have like an ERA community without anyone having to sacrifice playing their current characters or with their guilds. We'll be able to pug with each other and that's gonna be awesome.
Still wish it was cross faction but the current form will still be okay
