A Pokemon that actually evolves from Electabuzz and Elekid:
Best example I can think off for this already happened.
Good design, but what's up with the weird thigh window?
Oh, wait. It's gone now. Thanks Sakurai!
Yeah, it wouldn't be Xenoblade 2 if half of the character designs didn't look super trashy.
Look mean, some people just like to express their fetishes. No need to hate.

Real talk, I have no idea.
this isn't really a subtle design change, you're asking for a whole new featureLink -- the BOTW design -- but you can change the gender/skin color at the beginning. "Link" is easily a female name, as it is not a name, but an identity. Link and Zelda and Ganon are formless entities across space & time, they are ideas and roles, yet always manifested white and blonde.
White & blonde can remain the default but Being able to choose and play as a brown-skinned Link would be delightful.
This is just her with less clothes, dudeSome of the armour breaks in FE Warriors ended up being decent alternatives to the characters' main costumes - one character who really benefited was Camilla, whose original outfit was a bit convoluted, especially where the crotch windows and cleavage seatbelt were concerned.
Credit to Alex Ahad for this design
Lose the high heels, get something more sporty. More unkempt bangs, rather than that ridiculous plastic Barbie coif. Confident eyes, rather than a vacant sex-doll stare.
For good measure, probably also lose the beauty mark/move it to someplace less cliche/give her something cooler and more reflective of her job like a little scar or two.
It is, but the end result happens to look better. Similarly, I prefer the simplicity of the Fusion tank top to the Zero Suit in Smash 4 - though it'd be improved by having regular boots instead of the default's jet heels strapped over the top of the original costume's boots, which seems a bit messy.
The beauty mark seems like a weird thing to get caught up on. There are only so many places on the face and I think it's dumb to outright remove it. People have moles.

Someone else already did the work for Faith from Mirror's Edge
You might think it's all about the boobs, but what I'm most excited for is the removal of that stupid face tattoo.
Hooray for boobs though

People got genuinely mad about this change. I'm on your side I actually think it looks good.
Have to disagree with you there.

Only thing wrong here are the heels.

Bigger boobs and eyes and keeping the face tattoo seems like a good in between :)Someone else already did the work for Faith from Mirror's Edge

The end result doesn't look better at all, and Zero Suit Samus design (without the heels) is hard to top
People have moles sure, but Samus didn't get one until the one game where her character was mercilessly slaughtered and every aspect of her was seemingly changed to best fit Sakamoto's tastes. So the mole is conspicuous. Seems like it was only added because he has a thing for it.The beauty mark seems like a weird thing to get caught up on. But the thing is I'll still take her in either one of those over what she's wearing now.I'm really not a fan. Blacking out all of the skin on a design really doesn't constitute a cohesive improvement - you might as well just give her Xander's outfit.

Some of y'all are prioritizing your thirst too much over good character design.
