Why the bare feet?
Yeah, it wouldn't be Xenoblade 2 if half of the character designs didn't look super trashy.
I often wonder the same. I assume it is because Corrin can transform into a dragon form where the hands and feet can deform into various shapes for attacks

It was likely just done as a way to accentuate the characters having feet after Awakening, along with making Corrin seem more otherworldly. Same for Azura.

Some of the armour breaks in FE Warriors ended up being decent alternatives to the characters' main costumes - one character who really benefited was Camilla, whose original outfit was a bit convoluted, especially where the crotch windows and cleavage seatbelt were concerned.

Lose the high heels, get something more sporty. More unkempt bangs, rather than that ridiculous plastic Barbie coif. Confident eyes, rather than a vacant sex-doll stare.
For good measure, probably also lose the beauty mark/move it to someplace less cliche/give her something cooler and more reflective of her job like a little scar or two.
It is, but the end result happens to look better. Similarly, I prefer the simplicity of the Fusion tank top to the Zero Suit in Smash 4 - though it'd be improved by having regular boots instead of the default's jet heels strapped over the top of the original costume's boots, which seems a bit messy.

The beauty mark seems like a weird thing to get caught up on. There are only so many places on the face and I think it's dumb to outright remove it. People have moles.

Faith never needed big ones anyway. Not only she was far more attractive without them, it would work against the athletic build the devs were going for.

I'm really not a fan. Blacking out all of the skin on a design really doesn't constitute a cohesive improvement - you might as well just give her Xander's outfit.
I guess we just have different priorities, I've never particularly liked any incarnation of the Zero Suit.
On the subject of the Zero Suit heels, I wouldn't mind a version of the suit with bare hands and feet, like this Super Metroid art.
It'd help reinforce the idea of it being something worn to connect with the suit, though it wouldn't really work in the context of something like Smash.
Similarly, having the Zero Suit half-undone with sleeves tied around the waist and a tank top underneath could be a good way to vary the look a bit in a future game.

People have moles sure, but Samus didn't get one until the one game where her character was mercilessly slaughtered and every aspect of her was seemingly changed to best fit Sakamoto's tastes. So the mole is conspicuous. Seems like it was only added because he has a thing for it.
It was meant to be there for quite some time - it was mentioned in a Super Metroid interview, and concept art notes for Metroid Prime note the placement of it, though it didn't make it to the final model.
However, I agree that Other M being the game to introduce it pretty much made it impossible for it to be viewed separately from that game's legacy and interpretation of Samus.
Good Lord she looks so much better there in every way possible. Her actual design is offensively bad.
What I would give for FE Switch to handle all the characters designs with that level of sensibility and quality.
But the thing is I'll still take her in either one of those over what she's wearing now.
2B's design is perfect
Shirtless Vaan would be great. The pirate shirt from Advance would be fine without the vest. Short sleeves would be fine too. Simply don't think the vest matches his face

I wouldn't change anything to 2B though , she's perfect .
As for the thread , I don't like how Ciri's gloves looks in-game though . Prefer it to be more leather-ly like in the concept art .
I imagine whoever drew it wanted to keep it recognizable as her armor, but with actual pants and a chest piece. An improvement over a complete trash fire, at any rate.
I agree that starting over with Xander's armor as a base would be preferable, but that wouldn't be exactly in the spirit of a "subtle" change, lol.
There would be a legitimate artistic reason to have a barefoot Zero Suit Samus.
