At first I thought the game was this or Phantom Dust for realNero is the guy from Scalebound.
They chose an interesting aesthetic. I dig it, but can see why many don't.
I loved the monster design and mechanics they showed though, think this will end up turning out good.

Itsuno is not peerless. It is entirely possible for him to fuck up. And considering how awful this game looks in pretty much every visual and aural regard, the gameplay is going to have to be diamond-perfect to make up for that.

Vergil. You see his glove, boots and sleeve of his old outfit. It's Vergil. Probably with a scarred face or something too. He wants Yamato back, and he's not asking. I swear I randomly suggested that is what Vergil should do in some other thread, just rip his arm off.

The important part is that what we can see of the combat looks pretty good. Need to see more though! But I'm encouraged by the part where they went straight to talking about feel and controls after the trailer.

Except for the bosses the monster design doesn't fit DMC neither do the chars. Aesthetic is great on its own.
To be fair he does look a little too much like Dante did in DmC, as if they wanted to keep that design but knew they couldn't use it for Dante himself.
Either way I don't really care as long as DMC5 isn't like DMC4 and has Dante only going through Nero's stages backwards.
Relax. If it's anything like DMC4, we'll get playable Dante & Vergil as well. And put some respect on Nero's name, he's cool in his own right.

I was so confused when this trailer hit. I was like "Is...is this DMC5!?" but then it looked like DmC. I kept going back-and-forth until the title hit, and I went "Oh, so this really is DMC5!".
I'm sure it'll be great, with Itsuno-san behind it and all, but this really looked/felt like a DmC2 to me.

The first impressions on the locked DMC5 threads were embarrassing. Who gives a fucking shit if they gave Nero an undercut and Dante a beard? I exactly predicted these hairstyle changes several times in previous threads and had a gut feeling that people would be outraged about it.
The funny thing is that those are the same people who'd claim that their issues with DmC wasn't about the hair lol.

Yes, Devil May Cry is back, but like others have said, the design of Nero eh. Was hoping for Dante or even Nero from 4, still looking forward to seeing more.

I am more baffled than anything, honestly. I've enjoyed DmC (and I think one of my first threads were about it), but I didn't want DMC 5 to be DmC 2, not like this at all.
I just don't get it. Why did they chose to go in this direction?
Lol scalebound was platinum and had nothing to do with capcom or dmc.
