Straight up, if you don't think Devil Trigger is the hottest shit then you don't deserve this glorious game. What would Itsuno say if he saw you bozos behaving like this?
Let's hope they can match those with the gameplay then. Definetly looks phenomenal.True but I feel like that'd look incredibly strange here.
RE7's cinematics looked insane so I definitely believe it.
If that was grandpa dante at the end, don't want to think how grandma lady looks like.
There was a clear difference in fidelity when the gameplay started.Let's hope they can match those with the gameplay then. Definetly looks phenomenal.
It will probably be there at 12 EST, that's usually when the store updates
Ah ok. Only watched it twice, will rewatch later was hanging on that Sekiro trailer. :PThere was a clear difference in fidelity when the gameplay started.
But being sexy is part of the reason why this feels like "Cindy done right". No sexuality would be "done different", it wouldn't even make sense to bring her up.
The fact that Nico still goes for sexuality in her design but feels a lot more elegant and with clothes that actually fit her instead of just being there for the player makes a huge difference. I'm not a fan of Cindy's design at all, but I really like Nico, and I hate this trailer, so I'm not just liking everything here.
Now, if you just hate anything that doesn't look like what a mechanic in real life would wear, yeah, this design won't convince you.
Part of the problem in Cindy's design is that, to me, it's not actually sexy. It's obviously what they're going for, but it just looks like a girl with as little clothing as they could have her wearing. There's nothing in her personality or body language that sells that aspect of sexuality, it's literally just her clothes. Nico is very charismatic, she has a ton of personality and actually feels like a character. This helps a lot. I guess it's the difference between a sexualized character and a doll.
Take that fan redesign of Cindy that gets posted a lot, for example:
No one would say this isn't a sexualized design, especially the one on the right, but it's still a lot more classy, and I would personally say a lot more sexy. It hints at character, and at agency. It looks less like someone who was dressed up by someone else, and more like someone who chose to dress sexy, and that's much more appealing.
Hahaha, I was thinking that DMCERA who were betting on a Sony conference reveal missed out...I can't believe i wasn't in the reveal!!!
NERO? fuck the haters :D
This man speaks the truth.Straight up, if you don't think Devil Trigger is the hottest shit then you don't deserve this glorious game. What would Itsuno say if he saw you bozos behaving like this?
"Sorry, son. Daddy needs his sword back."
I mentioned this on Discord & possibly here. Dante definitely looks more like Reuben Langdon now (probably thanks to the RE Engine's facial mo-cap).I don't see how anyone thinks this looks like DmC....or too edgy. It has over the top antics, dumb ass one liners and protags no selling everything. This is DMC as hell. People are acting like the past games where cell shaded or something. DmC was grungy as hell, lots of swearing and full of political commentary. This trailer featured our heroes flying the down the street while hell breaks loose, not giving a single fuck, before styling in an over the top manner as they kill demons. Like what is even.
I get preferring a less realistic look but engine changes and more mocap (including face mocap...look up Reuben Langdon and see how much Uncle Dante looks like him) comes with the territory.
This isn't too edgy or too westernized (wtf)...again I get preferring different ascetics but holy shit...
Well, he wouldn't have really needed the arm to wield it. Dante wielded Yamato just fine in DMC4 without the Devil Bringer arm.
And Nero looks more like Johnny Yong BoschI mentioned this on Discord & possibly here. Dante definitely looks more like Reuben Langdon now (probably thanks to the RE Engine's facial mo-cap).

I thought about this too and kinda dreaded the idea of them going photorealism with SF, but I can see it happening.Do you think that SF6 is going with photorealistic visuals? They had that in mind with SF5 but I'd rather it look like GGXrd/DBFZ with pseudo 3d sprites.
Nero stores Yamato in his arm, so that's why Vergil probably took it (and also point where Dante wielded it Nero lost it).Well, he wouldn't have really needed the arm to wield it. Dante wielded Yamato just fine in DMC4 without the Devil Bringer arm.
It could work, Akuma looked great in T7, but photorealistic Guile tho? A sight to behold.I thought about this too and kinda dreaded the idea of them also going photorealism with SF, but I can see it happening.
They already set a precedence with MVCI.
Yeah, now that you mention it, I can definitely see that. I guess the slower pace of the approach just doesn't resonate with me as much. If they could find a way to combine intricate enemy design with the faster-paced gameplay of DMC3, though, that would be rad. I'll agree that DMC1 has the best atmosphere, though.DMC1 had a very different focus compared to 3/4 and Bayonetta, the first game placing more emphasis on learning the large number of ways the enemies could engage the player and the tactics involved in fighting them beyond just styling on them. In terms of enemy design and atmosphere, DMC1 remains the one to beat.
I can echo this. Wasn't too hot on DmC's character design (to say nothing of the actual characterization, ugh), but I actually really liked the wacky, surreal environments. DMC5 feels like it's going for sort of a middle ground between DmC and the original series. I'm not super hot on Dante (though I can get over it), but I actually like Nero and the others. It's because of the subjectively less appealing realistic character art style/designs, not the environment art. I actually kind of liked DmC's environment art.
Not even remotely.
And now it all makes sense. If nothing else, Vergil's probably gonna look great if they continue that trend by using Dan Southworth's face as reference.
Wait, scratch that. Though I guess it makes sense for Dante since he's closer to Langdon's age.
This got me pretty hyped, how's the series on PC? I remember there being some weird issues at launch for some of them.
This makes more sense with that brought up, yeah. Easier to just go for the sword and the vessel it's sealed within in that case.Nero stores Yamato in his arm, so that's why Vergil probably took it (and also point where Dante wielded it Nero lost it).
Nah, you could tell that Dante is based on Reuben in this game and since they're twins Vergil should pretty much look %100 identical. And now it all makes sense. If nothing else, Vergil's probably gonna look great if they continue that trend by using Dan Southworth's face as reference.

Like with RE7 the models they use for scanning are different people than the actors who do the performance capture. And now it all makes sense. If nothing else, Vergil's probably gonna look great if they continue that trend by using Dan Southworth's face as reference.

Yamato is stored in there.
