I mean, literally every time Vergil's been fully playable in a Capcom product it's been DLC (DmC) or a re-release (DMC3:SE, UMvC3, DMC4: SE)
Wouldn't surprise me at this point.
Who the hell cares about some new random loser? Nero is bad enough already, even without the stupid redesign. Wasting a playable character slot on a third joker while expecting us to pay more for Vergil later is basically completely missing the point.
Man this game looks really nice visually. Like I thought RE7 looked good too and skimming through the thread it appears this is the same engine, but for some reason I wasn't really expecting that here lol. Really excited for this.

Don't know why, but this trailer, and the attack of the demons on the city, really reminded of Onimusha 3 for some reason.
Anyway, I'm beyond hyped for this game, and I think the change of art direction and tone is a welcome one. I really didn't want a repeat of Devil May Cry 4 and it's approach to story and characters.

Put simply, if they're going to pull that kind of "lol pay us again" stunt, they've lost a sale from me. Not just the DLC, but the entire game.
Vergil is a DLC.. there's a reason they didn't have him at launch with DMC4/DMC3/DmC and even MvC3.

That's not going to happen. Nero is the Hayden Christiansen of DMC. Even at his most badass he still sucks.

From a technical standpoint this is outstanding and I don't even know that much about graphics. And then you remember that this is going to be running at 60FPS.
Artistically the game looks kinda off with the character faces for sure. Dante and Nero close ups when they are doing emotes are veering into weird uncanny valley territory. Also doesn't help that the colors are very dark and muted.

When fans have been waiting so long for something, they start to buy into the ideas and fanfics that they've made up in their heads. When it ends up not being that, disappointment follows.
They'll come around. Needs time to sink in. We already see people warming up to it from their initial reactions.
Dante is not the kind of person to have a biological child. He's more like Piccolo.
Nero and Kyrie will have a daughter. The daughter will start following Dante everywhere. For that reason, she will start spending time with Trish and Lady.
When she's all grown up, she will form a group of devil hunters with Trish and Lady called: "Les Femmes Fatales".
Itsuno make a new DMC game focussing on these three.

Nero has always been my favorite DMC protagonist.
I like how he's slightly more heroic than Dante. He also makes Dante cooler by extension (Uncle Dante is the best)

They could always cancel it and cannibalise it into a MOBA.
I think V is somehow related to Vergil but not actually the man himself.
It'd be weird for him to work under an alias with his brother and son after ripping the laters arm off. I don't think they're be fooled by that.
Maybe Darth Vergil is a fake or some rescaled inner darkness shit.
Plus V's fighting style from the leak doesn't really match up with Vergil despite Nero obviously still fighting a lot like he does in 4.

He's not really heroic at all though - just obsessed with Kyrie. Dante actually cares about the world, Nero just cares about killing anybody who touches his girlfriend.
There will always be the potential for a Sparda spin-off, Vergil spin-off and even crossovers with Bayonetta and (gasp!) DmC, and of course prequels.
So Nero is gonna get his legs cut off when he fights Vergil who has the high ground who then tells Nero not to try it.
You and me both, but looks like a magic user or summoner or something. So maybe like Chaos Legion lol...
Could be something to do with Ne(r/l)o Angelo and how they're bringing back Vergil - one of many parts of his consciousness in another body, a copy of his mind as one of many backups manufactured by Mundus, something caused by the demon arm / Yamato's own soul merging with him post-grafting...or just amnesia.
Or maybe he's just working with a paper thin alias and Nero and Dante will be shocked when he reveals he's really Vergil in sunglasses.
