Remember when people tried to retroactively claim the initial backlash to DmC was not 100% the change in art style and character design?
I´m curious about the performance on the OG Consoles. I´m sceptical about 60fps and/or the IQ.

Man that was a great reveal trailer. Took me a sec to figure out that was Nero but the faces in this game look really great.
One co-worker saw her as having a bucktooth every time he saw here lol.
I really like her right off the bat, seems to be a high energy/fun character, really impressed by her animations too.

On first watch, me reaction was one of shock. I though Nero was Dante and they had gone for the DmC look for him. The girl was annoying, the art style didn't look like Devil May Cry, the soundtrack was poor.
But then I watched it again, and again, and over and over again. It was Nero of course with the Rev Sword. Dante came in at the end and looked cool. That was Pandroa as his MOTORBIKE!!! Did Nero just pull his arm out and ride it like a hoverboard?! The gameplay looked awesome. Someone on ERA posted the battle theme and it's actually dope as hell.
The more I see the trailer, the better and better it comes across. I've gone from initial shock to really, REALLY digging the game. With Itsuno you know the gameplay is going to be there, and the size and scale of the game looks way more epic than anything we've seen from any prior DMC game. Can't wait to actually play the game now, I think it will be great!

He doesn't look like a crazy just escaped from the asylum uncle at all.
I don't see what "better visuals" has anything to do with the changes they made to his face. They don't really look like the same person. Even if you gave new Nero his old hair he'd still just look like some dude cosplaying Nero. FF13 to 15 was a big jump graphically and that didn't stop 15 from staying true to the faces FF is known for. I do prefer him with short hair but this new face isn't Nero.

Vergil could have asked his son nicely for the Yamato back, like, "hey I'm your dad and Dante's nice brother, can you give me my sword back please?". Vergil's such an asshole.

I mean, the only shot of Dante in the trailer is when he's in the middle of yucking it up. I don't see what's hideous about it. People make funny looking faces.

Nero, Nico and Dante all look great to me. Love the added emphasis on facial expressions.
Also Dante reminds me of an older version of an actor that I can't quite put my finger on. I've seen him in a bunch of stuff, but of course I can't recall any of it now. It's killing me lol

not dante tho. not sure what happened from the real life transition to 3d but dude got none of the sex appeal im seeing here
By the way Dante looks...and the fact of the motorcycle...it seems like this takes place after DMC2.
I think the problem is that this is the first time we see facial expressions so accurately animated in DMC, that is creating such an uncanny valley with the fans that are used to porcelain faces.
Even in DMC4, I can't think of scenes that had Dante without his smirking face, except when his pizza got robbed.

Yeah, I'm embarrassed of my negative reaction this game at first, especially with how pumped Itsuno was to announce the game. I wanna go back and slap myself. This game looks fantastic. Different than I was expecting sure, but I got over it real quick. I'm so fucking ready for this game.
