utz is in a lot of costco's around the world.
yup. works for me. Cheez Balls are great but you can't beat this deal and they're pretty much the exact same shit so I'd say UTZ comes out on top.
$6.50 free shipping 2.2LBs.

That's a really cool way to bring back a product.

Now if only they'd bring back the mini hula hoop tubs.

No one seems to remember them but they existed and I want them back!

I remember these being particularly too salty compared to cheetos puffs. Am I remembering wrong? I haven't had them since I was a kid.

Just bid and immediately outbid, up to $72.

These and Hawaiian Punch were my after school afternoons with my grandparents.

Yeah I helped drive up the bidding a bit because, hey why not, it's charity?

But I feel at this high I might actually win so I'm going to bail. I'm sure it will end up going for like $500 though all said and done.

Edit oh shit, I placed a bid for $153 and it jumped to over $200

Hmmm this is weird.
I saw a reddit thread with multiple posts about this product yesterday. Now this... Astro turfing for a greater comeback, perhaps?

Have a feeling those high bids aren't going to actually pay so the seller is going to have to go down the list to see who placed real bids. It's still early though so a wealthy individual interested in donating to a charity could still step in I suppose.

And here I thought $500 was where this was going to end up. My last bid was at $200.

Most likely. I doubt they went into production for just one can, and the label reads "it's back". This is just a publicity stunt to get some attention, where the winner donates to the food bank charity of their choice as it states in the auction.

Morning update: $9,900. Plus shipping. Don't forget that.

Shipping is free, and it's expedited! Much more reasonable heh

I'm about to drop a cool mil on it. What do you guys think? I don't even like these but someone's gotta buy this, sell each individual Cheez ball separately at 150% profit.

Do it! But don't be surprised if a week later you'll be able to buy them on Amazon for $5 a can. NOOOOOOO worth this risk though...

Hadn't eaten a cheese ball or puff or doodle in probably twenty years, but one look at that can transported me to another time and place and instilled an irrepressible desire to consume some of these things. Had balls on the mind and they would stay there until they were in my mouth. So in the course of my usual Tuesday evening trip to the butcher shop and supermarket I procured a bag of cheese ball product previously alluded to in this thread and manufactured by the snack food purveyor known as Utz. The initial sensations—the feel of them in my fingers and the coarseness felt against the roof of my mouth—were familiar but unfortunately the taste was not. The flavor transmitted by these spheres seemed to contain a shocking lack of artificial cheese dust zest. More bland corn ball than cheese. Of course I still ate half the bag, but that isn't the point. Was left wondering: is this just what cheese balls always were? Had I built them up in my mind to be something more, sanding off the realities and recollecting only the imagined positives like a teenage love affair? Or were the Planters version really that superior? Only one way to find out. Until then here's a video of a dude making corn puffs with a tractor:

I forgot those existed and now I really want some. I remember using the empty can as a Samus cannon when I was a kid.

Holy long have they been discontinued?

I can remember eating them, but not the last time I did. It's something I didn't even know was gone that I liked.

Its been a long time, what are the chances they do the process/recipe exactly the same? Last time these were widely available, Pizza Hut made the best pizza, pudding pops were the best, and Carnation made these addictive af 'breakfast bars' that no cereal/granola bar since has ever matched. Times change. Hell, just the cheese flavoring being made different would change the entire dynamic.

I guess what I'm saying is,
you're old now and you can't go home again.

THEY BROUGHT BACK THE WRONG--

TBH I'd rather have these back
FWhsjWj.jpg

I did like those cheez balls tho

Ah excellent I see it's been covered, but they need to bring them all back:

Also I wonder if this cheese balls marketing stunt goes

1. Fans demand thing
2. Put thing on eBay in limited quantity
3. Hype brings in the big cash
4. Use it to cover cost of bringing thing back

I'm joking but I do wonder how much it would cost them to bring them back to the US when they're already producing and selling them elsewhere in the world. I imagine it can't be nearly as much as if they were bringing them back from scratch.
