The previous Smash title (Wii U+3DS) sold nearly over 14.5 million copies.
And how does that compare to call of duty, battlefield, red dead etc?

This is dumpster lineup?
ItsI not about taste but about sales though. And in that category neither Smash nor Pokemon are going to touch CoD or RDR2.And water is wet. Dogs are furry. The sky is blue. All you just said here is that people have different taste in games. Congrats on your bumbling insight.
Eh?ItsI not about taste but about sales though. And in that category neither Smash nor Pokemon are going to touch CoD or RDR2.

Less than them, but not so much less that you wouldn't consider Smash an "actual heavy hitter" compared to them.
Some users on here post Yen values for some reason, but I would forget trading on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, AFAIK you need to buy a minimum of 100 shares, which are now valued at 530 euro, so with brokerage fees you would have to drop a cool 54kEuro (and trading volume is generally so low that you may have to wait a bit, though not right now with the enormous sell off lol). Your best bet is Frankfurt (FRA: NTO). Unless you want to make this your retirement and big volume trading comes into play, I would just find the stock broker that has a good app and the lowest transaction fees. I'm not French, but I use https://www.degiro.fr/ and I doubt you'll find one that's much cheaper.Ok, France era, I need advice.
What would be the best way to buy Nintendo stock from here ?
Is a site like boursorama reliable ?
I've never done that before but I think this time it could be worth the shot...
Them being ports doesnt change the quality of the games. Equating them to dumpster lineup.
So much less that I still think calling it one of the biggest games of the year is a bit of an exaggeration.
It's not the best I'm afraid. Taking out the late ports and remakes we're left with.Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Agree to disagree then.Nope not at all. It's definitely ONE of the biggest games of this year, if not the biggest.
I mean Pokémon is bigger than Star WarsItsI not about taste but about sales though. And in that category neither Smash nor Pokemon are going to touch CoD or RDR2.

The first party lineup here is fine but the third party original content and content launching beside the other consoles versions is not great. This also has to last 6 months.
Edit: Also I'm not including Pokemon as a remake even though it kinda is.
So I guess we should also take FFVII remake out from Sony's list.
your options don't change that star wars is still massive and one of most well known and profitable ipsThat's really nothing to brag about these days. Star Wars hasn't been really big since the original trilogy really. Lucas and Disney have completely ruined it.
In terms of quality, that's subjective. That's really nothing to brag about these days. Star Wars hasn't been really big since the original trilogy really. Lucas and Disney have completely ruined it.
I mean Pokémon is bigger than Star Wars
But sure, it'll not touch those

I guess that E3 Sony event that people called "event of dreams" (or something like that) where they announced FFVIIR (a remake) and Shenmue 3 (a sequel to a not very successful franchise) was actually a bad event? :-)
Thanks, I'll check this !Some users on here post Yen values for some reason, but I would forget trading on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, AFAIK you need to buy a minimum of 100 shares, which are now valued at 530 euro, so with brokerage fees you would have to drop a cool 54kEuro (and trading volume is generally so low that you may have to wait a bit, though not right now with the enormous sell off lol). (edit: apparently they won cheapest broker in France in 2017 too, so yeah)
In terms of quality, that's subjective.
In terms of revenue, it's not. In 2015, when Force Awakens came out, Pokémon still made more money than Star Wars. That's a year that had no main game, nothing special happening at all. Take from that how you will
dude, that doesn't change how popular star wars is but this is getting off topic so i will leave it thereMy options? I saw New Hope in the theater the day it came out back in the 70s. It didn't even have an episode number in the opening. I've seen the franchise rise and fall. Disney put the final nail in the coffin when they completely wiped away the extended universe. Solo is proof of that,
I count 12 ports, 8 actual new games (not going into their actual quality) and 2 DLC packages (which is just insane that some people are listing DLC as "games"). So uh... yeah they are?
There are 10 ports on that list, not 12 (not going into their actual quality)
Even if you count them in a weird way, this is arguing about a completely trivial matter. That's a lot of old content, and using DLC to bulk up the list is not a good look.
Not surprising. Octopath Traveler will be my first switch game after Xenoblade 2 and after that it's only Smash. Sucks that we don't get Fire Emblem and a traditional Pokemon game this year. I am a bit sad that right now it looks more and more like Wii U 2
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U: 5.340.000ItsI not about taste but about sales though. And in that category neither Smash nor Pokemon are going to touch CoD or RDR2.
Wii U 2? Hell no
That sucked. Got more fun in year 1 with switch than ever had with wii u
ItsI not about taste but about sales though. And in that category neither Smash nor Pokemon are going to touch CoD or RDR2.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U: 5.340.000
Super Smash Bros. for 3DS: 9.240.000
Total: 14.580.000
Pokemon X/Y: 16.290.000
Pokemon Sun/Moon: 16.100.000
Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire: 14.060.000
I'd argue these are enough potential sales for a single platform.
So what did you enjoy then?
BOTW = Wii U game
Mario Kart 8 = Wii U game
Splatoon 2 = sequel to Wii U game
It has been a Wii U port machine, so what are you enjoying that you didn't enjoy on Wii U?
There is a very huge gap to what the Switch is compared to the Wii U. From your own admittance, though, that will be even more obvious in 2019.Not surprising. Octopath Traveler will be my first switch game after Xenoblade 2 and after that it's only Smash. Sucks that we don't get Fire Emblem and a traditional Pokemon game this year. Dude....ItsI not about taste but about sales though. And in that category neither Smash nor Pokemon are going to touch CoD or RDR2.
The negativity has gone into overdrive, the Switch has already surpassed the WiiU in every way and a stock change isn't going to alter that fact.
The Switch is flying right now, the portability alone is making it a selling machine, couple that with 1st party droughts being filled with Indie titles and a dose of 3rd party offerings and you could argue this is the most well-paced and consistent machine that Nintendo has put out in a long time.
I don't get it. I have over 20 games on my watch list (that grows every week) and around 3-4 games on the go right now and I can't keep up, and given that this is my only console right now I don't understand the bitching.
Red Dead shipped around 15 ML so is not that far away from Pokemon figures.RDR2? Dude lol, Pokemon is way bigger than RDR2 lol
Edit: At least in the RDR era it was. With the amazing popularity of GTAV dunno how well it is going to sell.
You're talking about single platforms and yet Nintendo needed 2 for Smash to get to 15 million.Super Smash Bros. for Wii U: 5.340.000
Super Smash Bros. for 3DS: 9.240.000
Total: 14.580.000

Well, that's you. I barely have 10 games for my Switch and nothing coming out is really wowing me. Not everyone is like you.
