Is not about small ball philosophy or reality of modern baseball, but saying that KOs importance is just thing of the past is disingenious, I can agree to certain point on BA importance, but not KO because its a good indicator on the player abbility or lack of it on puttting the ball in play. And while in a long season you might want the player that KO 200 times and a ops of 1000, when you are in playoff where you will face the best rotations, contact is king and KOs have a higher weight to them.yes, the small ball philosophy is a thing of the past. teams don't really operate that way anymore. what exactly are you arguing here?
i don't understand why there are so many baseball fans who are just unwilling to learn the reality of modern baseball and why it is the way it is.
But Im done with the conversation, You dont believe in clutch so we defenetly wont agree too much.
