What a good trade John Jay is turning out to be. He is a hitting machine right now. Also, Daniel Descalso has to be one of the most clutch players in the game. He gets key hits in the biggest of situations. This DBacks team has really returned to form.
Yeah some awesome games this week. Was lucky enough to go to Wednesday's game to witness the walkoff and sweep.

I think the Mets will catch them by season's end. Since their 11-1 start they have gone 17-37 and things are progressively getting worse all-around.
Callaway ranks right up there with the best of them in being in over his head as a manger in New York (especially a first year manager). It's not totally his fault as it never is in these situations as it's mostly the players but good riddance to him and upper-management as well. They're all failures.

Yeah, I think we might be bad enough once he gets traded to pass the 1962 Mets. They did bench Chris Davis indefinitely today, though. It will be tougher to get to that many losses without the Tank Commander in the lineup.
If we are going to be bad, I'd rather us be historically bad. At least if we beat the '62 Mets we would get a nice little segement about us in Ken Burns 11th Inning.
He's out of options and it's not like the Yankees have other lefty relievers down in the minors that can help.
Thing is Shreve has a reverse split. If Khanle is ready in the minors they should call him up and dfa Shreve.
Lefty batters have a .815 OPS against Shreve. He's not getting the job done period. We don't need a lefty specialist. Our right-handed relievers don't have problems with lefty batters.
Fair enough, everything I seen that it will be a bit longer before that move is made. I'm for getting someone like Brad Hand but I'm sure the cost will be massive.
