I'd appreciate any help I can get, preferably with clues first before straight up spoilers. =)

I've got two wickerlings left:

this one is between the village and the gorilla, at the bottom of the big fog of war below the village. There are spin flowers on either side of the big area, and I've tried spinning into hidden passages with no luck yet. I don't see any way to get to it!

Hmmm, don't remember this one...

EDIT: I think I remember this one again!
Think of where and how you landed when you beat the game.

I have to plant mushroom spores in a lonely frigid area well above everything. I think I ran across this before but have ran back through the cold areas several times and can't find it!

It's
on top on one of the higher constructions in the cold area.

BTW, I also have 2 Wickerlings that I never was able to figure out:
On top of the hamster's/rat's nest in the cold area. (The rat that runs out and knocks the ball.)
and
At the tree stump's mailbox to the right of the gorilla.

Found all of them, thanks!

Jariw, for the one near
the animal that pops out
, you have to
Pop your ball up into where you pop the animal. You bump him out of the way - follow him."]

For the tree stump one,
trying to remember without the game nearby, but did you give the tree the baby to raise?

Ah! Thanks, I'll test! EDIT: Wow, that was really easy, compared to all the crazy stuff I've tried there... :-)

It's not the living tree, it's the tree stump house (belonging to the snail farmer).
Just outside is a mailbox with a Wickerling symbol that I can't figure out.

No problem. Let me know if you figure out that other Wickerling. It's the only one I have left.

Ok, for the other one,
you have to enter the final boss fight, basically. it's down in there.

Jariw, not sure about the tree stump one, it's above the gorilla, near that mailbox? i'll try to run through there and see if I remember anything. Looking at the map I see there's slugs nearby, so if it's a tricky one I bet you need to slug jump or something...?

Only things I have left to do: (that I know of)
cold, lonely mushroom spot
apparantly the god-slayer headed up that way after the battle
figure that out. I haven't opened the god egg yet so it may do something. =)

Well I just put all the spores where they needed to be and got to deliver all the overdue packages! Currently at 74%. Now I should just hunt for wickerlings now. Not gonna lie it felt great to deliver that last package!

Any hints to using the sootling whip things? I am terrible at aiming and it's got to the point where I've gone from having fun with the game to almost deleting it in a fit of pique.

For the ones where Yoku doesn't hit the walls, this seems to work pretty well:
sync to the sound

Picked this up on a whim and played 3 hours, up to the point I needed to charge the Switch. It's utterly delightful.

Hey guys I need help with one of the quest...

Looks like my only real quest available on the map for me right now is "Defeat the Screetch" but I have no idea how to get down there? I can't find the way...

Edit: Nvm, found it

I'm not really feeling this game. I want to like it, but I'm finding it boring so far. Don't know why.

So far it's been quite repetitive and the physics have annoyed me, because you have to hit the ball JUST RIGHT to get it to go where you need it to a lot of the time.

Could you give me a hint for the spore after the snowy one? Clue is something like
dry and quiet.

That sucks, man. Hopefully they fix it soon.

Instead of waiting, I'd just start over, honestly. You'll zip through to that part pretty quickly.

There's a spot near the top of the map where it looks like you have to jump over a lava pool to get to a chest... How do I get to it?

It's the trickiest chest of them all.
Use a slug to jump over the lava,

Try to contact the developers on Twitter about this. Perhaps they know what's wrong and how to move around it?

I'm trying to use a slug to propel me to get a green key, but anytime I do the balls bounces back down after it explodes. I'm placing the slug in where I think it would launch me accurately, but it fails. Is there something else I'm suppose to do to get the green key?

Edit: Nevermind, I got it.

I found it's usually best to try to take advantage of wall curvature nearby. Often when I launched up without using a wall I'd bounce back down. I remember one ledge where it was better to launch straight up and curve along with the wall than to launch directly at the ledge, for instance.

Excellent game thus far, from the few hours I've put into it. My only real technical complaint is that I think it needs an additional level of map zoom, a middle distance, as everything is a little too small to make out on the Switch's portable screen. Otherwise I appreciate the level of support for the hardware out of the box—the rumble, the solid handheld performance, the support for video recording on day one, the integration of starter tips into the Switch news feed. That's a lot more love than most developers show towards what the hardware and OS have to offer.

The problem is that I may be stuck.

I was exploring the floating islands on the upper left and dropped all the way to the left side of the map (the left side of the island left of where you start). You're supposed to be able to get there, as there's a Wickerling waiting, but the problem is that I'm not yet able to swim and I can't get on or over the island and back to the rest of the map.

I know I can just reload from my last save point but this seems like a rather glaring testing oversight, unless I'm missing some kind of obvious movement trick. Has anyone else run into this?

I haven't encountered that specific bug, but I have encountered a similar falling bug on a different part of the map that apparently wasn't tested (I could move, but the camera thought I was elsewhere). Make sure to report it. Reloading should do the trick.

Yes, in any order. I did your 2nd as my first.

Thanks for the reply, and sorry I didn't get back here sooner; I never saw an alert notification so I just thought my post died on the vine, haha.
Ended up doing cave area first, then mountain, then the place they tell you to go in the first place, haha. Cool that you can tackle it in any order. The game seems incredibly well-paced and designed.

Just finished the story and have started going around cleaning things up now. Currently working on the
Three packages that need to be delivered. Have done two of the three now, just need to find this "bee suit" the guy near the third delivery says I need.

PS - I love this game.

A little help here, please! I see there is a wickerling in a hidden area beneath the main village. ¿How am I supposed to get there?

This game is phenomenal.

The Void, MA
I saw the giant bomb quick look for this game, bought it, beat, currently trying to finish off the wickerlings and scarab stuff.
It's a very excellent game. I expected to be way more frustrated by the mechanics but the only frustrating section was the beanstalk climbing.

Man, finally hit a roadblock and feel like a dummy, haha.

Working on the side quest involving collecting the statue pieces for the guy in the village. Stuck on what I assume is the last piece (way out on those floating islands on the left side of the map). Has the pinwheels all over it, but there's one in an alcove on the left side that I can't seem to maneuver close enough into to activate that one. It's driving me nuts, haha.

That one also took me a long time. I believe there is a hidden bumper there, below and to the left.

Booya! Finished wrapping the game up today:
8eGLLSs.jpg

Ended up doing all achievements too, since doing all the side quests gets you pretty close anyway. Only weird complaint about that:
The "Perfectionist" achievement to activate every scarab in the game. Holy shit. I don't know if these were explained at some point during the game or not and I just missed it or what. Once I got down to this last "Secret Achievement" I went and looked up what it was and had no idea what it was even talking about. There seems to be no in-game tracking of any kind for these, which is doubly weird to me when half the items you find in the game are literally just map trackers for the different chests/Wickerlings. Seems crazy to make most of the game very backtrack/100% collector friendly, except for this one specific thing, haha. IGN has map for them on their website, but you still need to be able to see and identify them in each pinball room. Took me a couple hours of checking and re-checking the map to finally find the last one (it was in the Underdark, blended super-well into a wall).

Anyway, despite that last little bummer at the end, this is probably my GOTY so far. Just a joy of a game.

About that side quest thing: they are highlighted on the map if they aren't activated. If you zoom out the whole map, they non-activated ones clearly stand out.

Really? It seemed like I could see them on the map if I looked really closely, but if my character was far, far away from them it didn't help much because the map would make it look like they hadn't been done yet until I got close (kind of like how the treasure chests and mailboxes will appear unopened/unused on the map if you're far enough away). Are you maybe talking about the post things you dump 10 Wickerlings into? If so, yeah, those show up on the map pretty clearly.

Well that sucks. Got the credits to roll, the game crashed, and when I started it up again and continued, the game was at the part where I had to
go to the cave and get the instruments to begin the ceremony song to start that final boss battle.

Besides some massive slowdown when using the Beelines, that was the only technical issue I have came across, but damn that is pretty much a doozy.

Unlike a lot of people in this thread, I am not a completionist and feel like I would lose my mind trying to 100% everything, so I am fine where I am.

Amazing game overall though. Hoping for a sequel one day. My only critique would be to trim some of that truly unnecessary stuff, like the first part of what I have in spoilers above. There was literally no reason except to stall things for a minute for me to go and grab that item. Was incredibly pointless.

Finished the main game, up to to 85% completion.
On the whole I actually like this game quite a lot, just the moments when it's frustrating, well it can be REALLY frustrating, I cheesed myself right off getting that wickerling by the mountain boss (optional I know but still, god damn), it's funny how that exact same "table" is what had me in here grumping last time.

There is a ton to like here though, so for Nabbit here's some updated thoughts
- The map has a flowing structure that's so seamless, it's surprisingly simple to get around despite the pinball mechanics seeming contradictory to easy travelling, mostly due to how you can bypass going into the full pinball table like areas once having beaten them.
- Audiovisual side is lovely stuff, strong sense of place
- By the nature of its pinball genre it was something really fresh for me
- Very open, in a good way

So yeah I actually do recommend it. Playing it alongside my replay of Hollow Knight I did note how good Yoku is at getting the ball rolling (pun totally intended, I'm not sorry), you get right into the meat of the game pretty much from the start.

edit: and now 100%, man I could've really used all these sidequest unlocks earlier
