So, what if you bought the physical disc for Summerset and Morrowind? Do you have to keep switching discs, or is the dlc actually a code?

DLC is a code.... But I'd rather just wait for morrowind to be on sale again. Not paying another 20/30 dollars for it and the warden right now. Frankly, I don't find they new player friendly.. at least give the morrowind DLC w summerset and just require the warden ourchased separately if you ask me

Just nabbed this for 10 bones in the XBO sale. Any pointers for a complete new fish?

Should I just mess with the gear I find as I level or should I craft or buy from merchants?
How can I make money? Should I sell weapons or is there some sort of dismantle system or something? Assume I know basically nothing.

The Psijic crown crate top tier items look unappealing. Which is good because I can save my gems.

Okay so I had been playing Tera (Yes I know, but it scratches the MMO itch for free) but once I saw some clips of ESO from E3 I noticed how great the game has gotten since launch so I decided to pick it up from Amazon while it was on sale. I would like to play a healer and I intend to drown myself in YouTube vids until it gets here, but I generally trust you al more than random videos. So does anyone have any race/class recommendations for that?

I don't wanna be the BEST healer class or race here. I just wanna have a lot of fun. So I am open to all suggestions.

(Also I am an aesthetic whore. I love to look awesome and value that above actual usefulness)

Similar question to above - picked the game up yesterday on sale with Morrowind expansion. Really unsure of what to build, but am leaning towards Nightblade or Warden.

Is this the type of game that has classes that are more powerful than others or is everything kind of evenly weighted? Any benefits to picking a specific race for a specific class? I'll probably be playing mostly solo, but have a few friends that might get into it.

Either way, Bethesda's E3 conference just got me fully hyped and I wanted to hop back into the ES world for the first time in awhile.

Man these Ouborus crown crates give me junk. At least I get some gems.

Same. I even got an extra card in one but it was all junk. I'm up to like 70 gems just from recent twitch drops and promotions.

Is there a way to see active player count per platform?

I was thinking of playing on ps4. Does it have a good crowd?

Well after seeing some footage of eso running on a geforce 1050 ti (which I have), I bought the pc version and will start over. My character was only level 22 anyways. The game was 12.50$ on steam.

Got this on Friday on Steam since it's on sale (base game + Morrowind) and been enjoying it immensely. I have been playing EVE since 2003 and still do and it's my favourite MMORPG, but I stopped playing WoW with WotLK because of how boring it got, but I am loving ESO so much because its PvE content is so much more fun and rewarding, I just love how the quests are designed, voice acted, how open the world feels and I can essentially go and do what I want, and also the group PvE stuff I have done so far (not that much) has been fun. It's a much more relaxed feeling, I don't feel like I am on a treadmill of PvE/grind, the game for is like I am playing a singleplayer RPG with co-op, and I like that, I don't really have any interest in serious end-game PvE as EVE already takes time from how much time I spend playing MMOs vs. other games and other things, although things are quiet in EVE for me ATM as my alliance is not engaged in any war campaign (yet).

Since I pay for 3 EVE account subscriptions already (I actually have 6 accounts but 3 are inactive, it's sort of the meta of the game to have 2 though if you deeply serious but not necessary, it's just if you want to have a character that is only a capital pilot, a character that is only a market trader, etc), so I don't want to add an ESO subscription just yet. Haven't felt like I have needed to though, and I will buy Summerset chapter and the other DLCs when I feel like doing them before I probably get an ESO subscription, because really the only thing I find that's interesting to me is the crafting bag, but then again I don't like crafting in general it's also why I don't do industry in EVE (granted it's not really comparable). I'm just curious, how significant is crafting in ESO? Is it necessary to do? If I just focus on one (or maybe two) trade skills would the ESO subscription be necessary for the crafting bag?

Too bad summerset isnt 50% off either. Since I'm starting from scratch on pc instead of xbo ill probably go with a new character instead of my sorcer. What are the most fun classes right now?

I started my current character in Hew's Bane and the delves there have quests associated with them. I'm both of them, the quest giver was just outside or inside the delve.

Now I'm doing the delves in Stonefalls and they don't have a quest, as far as I can tell. I do get the achievement for killing the bosses.

Is that the case? Or are the quest givers somewhere else?

Some delves have quests, others don't. All of them have an achievement for killing the boss and they all have a skyshard.

Did my first assassination mission. It's actually kind of fun!

Also, I never got these crown crates for killing an enemy yesterday or today. Is there something special I'm supposed to do?

I downloaded it on my X yesterday as I couldn't justify keeping 90+ GB file on my Pro for a game that I play in spurts. The first thing I noticed is the constant disconnecting. It feels like I'm playing it back on launch on PS4. I imagine it's all the people like myself who downloaded it thru Game Pass, but man is it annoying.

Is that ESO+Morrowind Steam bundle still going to be on sale tomorrow?
Steam store still has 19 hours till the sale ends. Regardless though If you buy the base game from anywhere you get Morrowind as it's part of the base for new purchases only. Also unless they fixed it, I would probably avoid buying the game on Steam because the games install size will be twice that of the standalone client. Probably something worth looking into.

So I bought this game a year ago on Steam and wanted to get the Morrowind expansion, but it seems like there's no way for me to purchase it?

Thanks for this! Seems very thorough and covers many questions a newbie could have. Will give it a watch later, maybe I will finally restart the game.

At level 15 you unlock another set of weapon slots, and the ability to switch between these weapon sets (e.g. dual-wield one-handed weapons on one set, a two-handed weapon or bow on the other), and the second set of hotbar slots is tied to this second weapon loadout.

Summerset question: When I started last year I was able to start the new game directly in the Morrowind questline.
Does the same apply to Summerset? When creating a new character (and buying the expansion obviously) can I instantly start with the questline there? I want to reroll as a Dragon Knight (was Nightblade), so that would be a nice incentive.

Edit: Nevermind, should have done a quick google search first :P For anyone interested: If you have Summerset and make a new character you can start with the expansion right away, just like it was with Morrowind.

That's it? So you're always limited to 5 hot keys? Wish I could use more with my dual wielding nightblade, I'm not using skills since I dont even have the space for them...

That's horrible..

Wife and I have been playing quite a bit since the sale, really enjoying it! I love how we can play it like a single player rpg, and besides seeing others running around, it feels a lot like Skyrim.

Just grabbed the base game and Morrowind for cheap, are there any mandatory dlcs I should not pass on right from the start?
