Honestly, I feel like this series just might not be for you. Not every series needs to have death around every corner, where characters constantly die

I kinda get what you're saying, but BNHA just isn't that kind of series.
I'm learning that now. What I really don't like honestly is the lack of cleverness in the battles so far. The only one this season that interested me was the two no names against the Mustard Gas villain. I think the real reason I've liked shonen anime is pairing underdogs against villains and then seeing how they get out of situations...but really nothing interesting has happened this season. This last fight was just determination above all else, which is the tropiest trope of all time.

That's kind of All Might's thing. Even when you've given it your all....go beyond that.

Just going off the show, Deku/Uraraka and Todoroki/Momo are pretty much the only options so far
Agreed.

I like Deku x Uraraka just because they are both kinda goofy people who are nervous wrecks around each other. They work well together as well.

(26yr old dude and I love pairing like a teenage girl. Never get tired of laughing at myself lol)

I see what you did there. You gotta let the people ship Young Lotus lol

It's okay when both characters clearly like each other. At that point, it's just a matter of time.

For everything else, I gotta remind the people, all day, everday, or the devil will get em

I'm debating whether or not I want to go to bat for the Todoroki/Momo ship. The only reason I even listed them is I feel the show is pulling them together. But at the same time, who can forget the Naruto shipping meltdowns lol

So I agree in the broader sense, just maybe not this specific instance.

Besides HxH, MHA is probably the only other Shonen I could possibly see doing it. Still slim, but it's not nothing.

They teamed up for like one episode, what else ya got

I'm referring to same-sex relationships

1. He voted for her when they were picking class president, so she stood out to him, even back then
2. Momo has to be at least somewhat grateful to him for helping restore her confidence. During the final exams he reveals he voted for her because he trusted her judgement
3. When they leave to save Bakugo, one of the reasons she goes is to make sure they don't fight. The other reason? She said she trusted Todoroki's judgement.

The way their relationship has been progressing has been extremely similar to Deku and Uraraka, with the two of them helping and understanding each other. All it's gonna take is them realizing it or someone like Aoyama playing Hitch to make it happen. Bank on it.

And yes, I've thought about this way too much

You guys are no fun lol

Not gonna lie, feel like you're proving my point here

Well, to each their own!

Seriously, she seems pretty cool. Also, around Deku-aged All Might learning to use OfA would be fun to see.

Don't worry, they just don't want to accept the best ship. It'll come with time.

My brain scrambled this as Deku and Bakugo's mom, which would be hilarious for the meltdown from Bakugo.

Shipping may be the devil, but sometimes it's pretty funny to think about lol

Dread it. Run from it. Shipping still arrives.

Speaking of Dekus mom I wonder if we will ever see the other parents. I'd be interested to see some of them.

Deku has to have the worst father in anime right? Like holy shit, how many times has Deku broken his shit without nary a call from daddy dearest. Jfc

I'm in the conspiracy theory camp that the whole story about his dad taking a job out of the country is BS.

His dad's quirk is fire breath. I am willing to bet anything he makes an appearance somewhere down the line as a villain. Deku being the son of a villain and having to stop him or something along those lines would be a good character building moment I think.

I've got a theory about this in the manga thread, but it's probably best not to share it in this one. Nothing has been confirmed though.

Part of me would love that. The other part of me doesn't wanna get attached what is clearly a great character just to see her die a horrible death.

All for One made it pretty clear her death was not pleasent

Yeah seeing more of her would be great but her death and another death in her backstory would make the whole series really grim towards the end. It would be mood whiplash to the max.

I'm going to say I think almost all the One for All holders have had ignoble deaths that a series on any of them is going to be rather grim.

Its been 5 generations of Quirk users but Izuku is the 9th wielder of the power of One for All. That mean alot of users died young. Also considering The bad Old days of it just being the wild west with super powers for a generation or 2, Yeah I don't want to see a Prequel of this series. We are literally in the right generation for it to be somewhat hopeful.
