According to u/BatofSpace on Reddit, EA has removed the refund button from their customer portal page for the game.

The only way to get a refund now is to call customer service. This may be due to an influx of users requesting refunds for the Battlefront II game.

This type of stuff sounds like it needs regulation at this point, it's getting out of hand and customer rights are being shat on.

Worth adding that customer support chat waiting time is >60 minutes at this point.
Guess thats one way to tell your customer to f*** off and another example of dont ever preorder

I am glad I have not purchased an EA game since I somehow forgot that Mass Effect trilogy was EA lol.

That's stunning. Must be an error, legitimate server issue, maybe a problem processing payments or something. Or they just have a bet on for how they can one-up their own PR disasters. Incredible.

Holy cow! I couldn't imagine being on hold for that long for a video game. The only people I've been on hold for that long have been warranty or insurance companies haha. And it's always "Hi, are you still there?" Apple will disconnect also if you don't reply fast enough.

Big distinction was that it wasn't refunds for games on Origin, it was refunds for EA games on Origins, whereas the likes of Steam and Xbox Live are for all games sold on the service.

It's sad to see it come to this from what I've play of bf2 it's a great game all around from a gameplay perspective.

I didn't have a refund button on my BFII pre-order in that Order History window when I refunded it last week on the 6th I think. It was just after the game had been charged, I assumed the charge was why it wasn't showing for me as it was my first experience with refunding on Origin. The refund did work out in the end but yeah I had to search around a bit to find out how.
