Since November 2008. This doesn't include retail keys for Orange Box, HL2, L4D2 and etc.
Russian regional prices ftw.

Not bad. I've been using steam since Half Life 2 release but only started buying in their shop around 2008.

Edit: I buy most games off Cdkeys or GMG.

Given that my account is nearly 11 years old, that just confirms my belief that gaming is a relatively cheap hobby overall.

Pretty good, especially considering like half of it was actually from selling Steam trading cards lol. Of course, it doesn't count all the games I got from traders back before the region locks and all the bundles.

Been using Steam since 2010 and have a pretty large library, but like 95% of my games are keys bought on other storefronts.

About what I expected, account made in 2010 Summer. Never buy full price games for PC.

I mean, $1000 over the course of nine years isn't that bad. I worry for how much I've spent on websites like GMG and such, though.

it do not count keys from 3rd party sellers thou

my first game was Half Life 2 from Radeon 9600XT card; there were about 3 games on the steam when I first logged in (all from Valve).

I feel like I've had Steam since HL2, but didn't start buying anything on the platform till around 2008. Also I'm sure it's mostly humble bundles.
Either way I'm spending 165£ a year on Steam.

I don't think I've bought anything on Steam since 2013 but $846 and I believe my account started in 2006

However I've spent lots more on my account via 3rd party sites.

$1800 spread over 14 years having an account doesn't seem too bad. Doesn't include bundles though which add a lot to my game count.

So around £226.19 in the last 10 years. I had a lot more keys redeemed through other means. I definitely don't PC game as much as I used to as my laptop starts to give up the ghost, maybe one day I'll upgrade and go back to it but I don't have a lot of time for gaming these days, feels weird to shut myself off somewhere else or take over the TV.

Edit: Just remembered that buying Sam & Max on Steam got me the Severed Max Head in TF2 which I was able to sell to some doofus for $100, so I feel like I've made out pretty well on my steam purchases overall.

Have had the account since 2008, a lot of recent games I bought were external from cdkeys.

I have bought a good number of games outside steam, but the majority is direct sales on Steam.

Account is 14 years old and responsible for most my gaming needs.

This isn't bad at all...

considering this.

($258/yr)

I suppose it doesn't count all of the external keys I've purchased through various key resellers though. I also own all the consoles, but only use them for exclusives.

$1769 over 10 years.

Not bad honestly, but I've activated quite a lot of keys from outside of Steam so not totally accurate.

$865, though it's hard to track in € over time. We do play a lot of Civ, Stellaris, Endless Space 2, Borderlands type of games with friends on Steam, as some of us prefer a keyboard over controllers, and strategy games are often better to play there, too. I also enjoy a game like Cities Skylines or Planet Coaster there. Some smaller indies like Papers, Please! and Stanely Parable are also in my list. Lastly, there are some RPG gems you can't get on consoles, older one's like Baldur's Gate and Vampire: Masquerades Bloodlines or Tyranny more recently. I once also bought a couple last gen console games on Steam, but with MS backwards compatibility, I will never play Fallout New Vegas on Steam now. Fair amount then, I guess.

i only started an steam account about two years ago so i thought it would be a little less tbh. but i'm glad i don't buy too many games, and only buy something when i want to play it. it can be hard to pass on sales.

Thankfully external resellers exist to negate the typically bullshit steam store prices innit.
