I am making this thread, because I feel like this is not well known.

This is my third switch case. I have been looking for the perfect switch case, and I did not find it until now.

Day 1 I had one the BOTW link one. It had some space for games, and other items, but something I did not felt comfortable showing everyone lol. I then got the official Nintendo one. I can finally take it with me without feeling ashamed! xD That being said, I had no space for my charger, headphones, or even the joy cons strands. On top of that it only has space for 5 games, and I have over 10. I purchased a switch specific game case, that holds up to about 25 more due to this, but it did not even fit comfortably on the official one, so it was always separated.

This one I found randomly, I was looking at their gaming grip, and came across their case. In short it does everything I needed

* Space: up to 20 games (if more space is needed, my game case can fit here)
* cool look and feel, modern, good protection
* plenty of space for anything else, extra joycons, joy con strands, etc

After using it a couple of days, I can confirm it is great, and I never heard about it from anyone, never saw it in videos of people recommending it. I stumbled on it randomly, and it is the best I have found.

Thought I should share.

It looks pretty sick, I have the botw and while it's cool looking, the way to store games is a pain, you have to basically let them hanging in this incredibly difficult to open blue plastic case that doesn't even keep the carts in place

Nice case! I had the one that came with BotW initially, but it's not exactly subtle. So I now use the mostly black one with small gray Mario image outlines, way more discreet. I do admit that storage is an issue though, it can only fit 14 carts which I've long passed now, and barely has any room for accessories. I will keep this one in mind if I want to upgrade!

That's not the one I got, so nope.

Mine is truly the best. Soft, easy to zip, easy to slip Switch in and out of.

Has a front zip where I just throw all my Switch cartridges into.

It's perfect. Also slips perfectly into my gym bag pouch. Can't ask for anything better.

Looks pretty great.

I've got the one that came with Zelda and it works just fine, but yeah, it is a bit busy for me in terms of style. I'd much rather just have something like this.

I don't really take my Switch out and about that often, but this thing still seems like a good one to have.

Never hurts to get suggestions on carrying cases for your Switch. Thank you for sharing this.

Thanks for posting. I'm still working with a cheap but functional case I got off Amazon right after release. Thought I might buy a Waterfield at some point but lol I'm not fancy. I'll probably pick this one up soon.

Don't know what you are talking about. Unless its some other botw? This is the one that came with the game. Because I don't have a blue thing to put my games in. It has a nice divider piece that holds them nicely. Does pretty much what the op version. I use the net part to hold the hori switch and power supply.

I've been happy with my BOTW SE case. Currently holding 35 games (built in storage + card case), joy-con straps, a headphone extension cable, and a second, empty card case.

I have the slim Waterfield Designs case - it's absolutely perfect for throwing in my briefcase or in a backpack when traveling.

Some pictures I took yesterday. Only 1 very minimal negative. I had this cover that came with my first blue botw case, for the joy cons, and it was too much of a tight fit with it. That being said, they were not pretty to look at anyways, and always falling off. Plus I'm getting colored joy cons.

Without those joy con covers, it's a good tight fight, as in the right amount. It's not moving around but still easy to take off.

Yeah that's the one you get from the collectors edition, this is the one I got

It's really nice looking and offers great protection but storing the carts is terrible

I have a generic one that I got on amazon for about 15$, the only problem I have with it is the AC adapter block is too big to fit in it.

I just got a Switch and this case. I wanted a case that would fit the official AC adapter if I ever wanted to travel with one.

+ Cheap
+ Looks like and feels like an RDS Industries case without any Switch logos or badging
+ Fits games like OP's case (no "wallet" pouch though)
+ Fits the huge Nintendo AC adapter. Even fits the JoyCon Grip and the AC adapter (but not much else after that)
- Not exactly thin but comes at the cost of fitting the AC brick

I use the Takecase and like it enough. It's reliably tough, holds around 10 carts and can hold my charger and extra joy cons.

Bought it for around $18 on Amazon but the price fluctuates

Is there any case that separates the Joycons and the proper tablet for additional compactness?

Every single case I've seen has to have the Joycons attached to the tablet.

The case in the OP looks like the Butterfox case to me. I love my Butterfox. It holds: 19 games in it's slots, plus I have 8 more in the plastic cases that came with the Nintendo case, 2 loose games, the Hori adjustable stand, cleaning cloth, and Joy Con straps. And of course the Switch itself. All in one convenient package that I take with me pretty much everywhere I go.

That said, I REALLY want a Waterfield Cityslicker case. I have one for my 3DS and love it. It just doesn't hold as many games...

Could this case fit the switch with the Mumba case on it?

If not, does anyone know of any switch case that can hold it with the Mumba she'll on it?

What about the case where I want to switch the case for another switch case?

I have something exactly like this OP, except the one I have holds 29 Switch games and two Micro SDXC cards. Also it's slightly thicker so it can accomodate the Switch charger and Pro Controller or multiple Joycons.

Do any of these cases fit a Pro Controller, or just more joycons? What about the joycon holder thing?

I've got a Mario PDP case, has space for quite a lot of games and has a compartment in which I can put my power bank in. The only annoyance is the Switch itself isn't massively snug in it, but it's not the end of the world.

I use the Game Traveler Deluxe from RDS.

I like the "hard shell" design. I feel like it'll protect the system fairly well. I don't use it very often though.

I dig the look of amazon's proper hard case. Might grab that someday.

Another vote for the Butterfox, which the case in the OP resembles. I can carry my Switch, two extra joycons, a mini USB charger and cable, and four wrist straps — perfect for a day of multiplayer fun anywhere.

Yeah, I've got this one but with the eye logo instead of Link and those cases are a pain in the fucking ass.

Like a lot about the case, but I really hate the system resting directly on the joycon. Support under the tablet with notches for the joycon so you don't get any additional strain on the rails or any other parts is definitely my preference.

I have a Zelda one, that's all black so it's reasonably sublte, but I was thinking of replacing it. Sadly this one doesn't hit on everything I'd want.

I can't imagine not going digital-only for Switch. Seeing that game storage sleeve takes me back to 2013.

These cases never have enough game storage for me. Currently I have a different game case (holds 20 cartridges) that I shove in the pocket of my black BOTW case and it barely shuts, so not extra joycons, etc. So this is enticing.... I'd really like a hardshell case with these amenities and size but they seem to be few and far between.
