Happy for them

I have to say, I love the guys A LOT.
That said they are still far from GT's best.

Overall I don't like the couch stuff, I'd prefer a single Bosman show, a single Huber show, a single Brandon show and so on

Group/couch stuff only once a week as recap of sort would be a nice topping

Er, you realize Huber has been doing his own show -- the same one from the GT days -- since EZA launched, right?

And I'm not sure what you mean by "couch stuff." The weekly stream? That is once a week, as you said. The only thing that isn't there is Bosman's own show but he is writing and creating other shows now.

It saddens me that Box peek is happening over a Final Bosman Spiritual successor.

I know we want a Final Bosman Spiritual successor more!

and besides, if we're able top ush the patreon over 51K or 52K, maybe that could happen.

They aren't monkeys who do what their patreon supporters want on command. Let them be them and let them do what they are passionate about.

And no, I'd rather have someone do what makes them happy and feel like they are growing instead of doing something their heart isn't in and ultimately stresses them out.

It's not happening over anything dude, he doesn't want to do it.

I thought Box Peek was great, I just hope it doesn't take too long to complete.
People like to remember the final bosman fondly from its golden era around 2013 and 2014 but it was really struggling towards the end in those post-desk times before GT was shut down. It was a great show that probably ran its course, I don't think it'd be what people expect if it was brought back again. I'd rather see whats next for Kyle than to see him going back to that.

I love the crew and their work, but I really haven't followed them much post GT. Cancelled my patreon sub after a few months.

I used to watch a fair bit of their shows, especially Final Bosman, but don't really enjoy their current approach. It's mostly just streams, and big in depth multiple hour podcast style discussions.
All I really watch from them is the reviews and E3 stuff every year.

Hopefully they can grow into a studio and get some more regular shows going.

That's crazy to me. EZA works best when there's a few of them on camera because they all have such great chemistry and their personalities bounce off each other so well

Sure, sure, I saw Huber show

My complaint is that none of present EZA production feels more than an amateurish production-value

Nice/top guys, debatable presentation to date

Axass did a poll within the Easy Allies Community thread, and Final Bosman unanimously won over Box Peek.

I remember when it happened
I saw and participated in the poll. It wasn't at all formulated this way. Yes people would love a Final Bosman, it doesn't mean that anyone would say no to Box Peek over it. Might as well cancel the podcast, Huber Syndrome, Frametrap etc to have a Final Bosman by your logic.

For me, the cool thing about Patreon is that you can give people money to fund them working on what they want to work on, how they want to work on it.

Except it's not about what you want. It's about what Kyle wants to do. He does not want to do final bosman anymore, flat out. If kyle wasnt doing boxpeek he would probably be doing some other creative project but that project would not be final bosman as hes states over and over again that it's not something hes interested in. People need to move on.

I want Kyle to do whatever makes Kyle happy. Nothing kills quality faster than forcing someone to produce a show they're not interested in.

I know they aren't monkeys!

It's just one simple dream.

A guy can dream right?

Hopefully it can happen if this studio thing goes through.

That's the main thing I want to happen, that, and the bonus bit's, I hope!

Y... yes, that's the point of the Patreon and this thread.
Ummm......... Wasn't the E3 donation drive stream to improve the Quality from an amateurish production value to professional ones?

I'm very sure they've achieved this by now. It's not as apparent due to the sidecam and newer microphones having not been used for the E3 Impressions

My favorite gaming youtube channel. Congratulations. Huber must be protected at all cost.

I think they can go far beyond the number of subscriber they have now if they keep with the quality content and move to a better place.

Maybe do a daily show with like 20 min with the videogame news update of the day will help bring more people.

Super freaking excited for them, great group of people. Hope they can stay above the goal and get the studio soon, I believe they mentioned they may wait an extra bit of time to make sure it isn't fluctuating to much constantly.

Just read the news, so happy for them!

I'll miss the setting they have now but a studio would be perfect for some shows.

and there's proof via a poll about what ResetEra Easy Allies fans want to see for a new show, and we unanimously said no to Box Peek in favor of a Final Bosman Spiritual succesor.

If we can make this studio goal suistainable, please make this happen!

I miss the days of Final Bosman and when you and Huber's shows could crossover via bonus bits in the end of each of your respective shows' episodes!
One show getting more votes than the other in a poll is hardly people saying no to the show that got less votes. Besides, we were already getting Box Peek, and I believe we'd seen the first episode already, too. When people answered for what Patreon goals should be set for certain milestones, or whatever the question for what new shows we'd like to see was that you're referring to, I doubt people were thinking about Box Peek just for the sheer fact that it's an on-going production - not something brand new, or a past show that the Allies could bring back.

The problem being of course that Kyle has made several very Final Bosman-esque productions for Geoff Keighley now. Mans gotta get paid, absolutely understand that, but at some point the question has to be what can he do that will bring the most new ongoing support to EZA too. I'm happy he's had the creative liberty to make something cool like Box Peek in the meantime, but the production will have now spanned a year and Mr Bosman has probably learned why animators and similars find the current Youtuber model a nightmare to keep up with.

Whatever comes next doesn't have to be like-for-like Final Bosman of course, switch it up by all means. Kyle keeps his own opinions to himself a lot on the podcast, so the only time we get untethered Kyle rants is on group streams or Frame Trap (or whatever spills out betwixt 3 hour blocks of Dumb Games). A couple years and a half is a good chunk of time to get over performance/artiste anxiety and to get back on the horse next year.

In less uh, targeted, spiel, I am incredibly glad they're making more highlight reels and even throwing SomeGameNews tasty bones. I'm disappointed individual allies haven't done more of the edited down versions of their personal streams because that was great content too in the couple they did. E3 is wild and disruptive, but more content that can be enjoyed not in 4-5 hour blocks is always appreciated.

They actually upped their production recently. Nicer camera, nicer mics. The podcast now has a switch board, and they cut to different angles. They are still in Jones garage tho, so if the background makes you feel its "amateur garage" stuff, then not sure if the better production will change your perception.

For the record, they are literally employing a 9+ person company. Even tho 50k sounds like a lot, it really isnt when you divide up the salaries for 9 people, who live in LA. They definitely took a pay cut from GameTrailers to EZA. So while it sucks that their production has not been the same quality as GameTrailers (whcih was a major corporation owned company), the only way for them to keep the group together, was to have that lower quality production. It's what the fans wanted (fans literally donated, based on the idea that the group was kept together).

If this was only 4 people, and everyone was let go, then they could have had a higher quality production like KindaFunny or GiantBomb. If they started taking sponsorship deals like "Gatorade Presents", or doing ad campaigns on top of their patreon - then they could have also done higher production + studio by now. It's insane they have hit 50k just by fans alone. But yeah, they kind of had to make a choice. They chose to keep everything self-funded. I get the vibe that most fans would complain, if they also started doing sponsorship deals.

Wish I could share the same excitement about an all-pale, all-male and able club now on $600,000+ per year from their gaming publication, but Yay for them, I Guess. **Takes Pitcher; Sips Cocktail...**

Love these guys, genuinely one of the few outlets that are not cynical about games or the industry. They love what they love and respect stuff/opinions even when they don't agree. They deserve every penny for being a positive gaming outlet for positive people.

However, are they ever permanent series? Remember Dear Bosman? that didn't last. Remember his Independent stint when he did Bosman at home? Never felt the same, nor did it last.

That's why an Easy Allies Final Bosman Spiritual successor would be much better. Just look at Huber Syndrome, and how it's become an amazing successor to Huber Hype over time! With it pushed as part of the list of EZA Shows, it could be as good of a spiritual successor to the Final Bosman as Huber Syndrome is to Huber Hype.

He has also talked during some streams about maybe doing something like a next Final Bosman. I reckon he is conflicted, but I could see something happen if they get a studio.

Honestly, where the allies are at now, I'd love to see a similar show, but Kyle rely more on the rest of the allies. Lots of the best bits from Vintage Final Bosman involved the other people, but now they really know that people want them to show their personalities.

I don't think just doing the same thing again would be the best idea. But something similar, with Kyle being more like a producer, and the rest of the allies making up an ensemble cast could be cool. That way if there was a certain week that he didn't have something, he could get something out of one of the other allies.

He did kind of do something like that with Bosman at Home on his YouTube channel but it only ran for about 4 episodes and they came out erratically

This was pre EZA I think so obviously his attention shifted once EZA became a thing

Right but he did that on his own. I mean something with more involvement from the other allies. Like how some Easy Updates use the other allies in very creative ways.

Edit: Which could take some of the pressure off Kyle.

That didn't last, and besides, Bosman at home was in the Easy Allies Early days. Same for Dear Bosman.

Maybe he'll have a change of heart about an Easy Allies Final Bosman Successor if we do eventually make the Studio thing a suistainable success.

Maybe, just maybe.

He's talked about it before, but is currently conflicted due to a lack of a proper studio with a closet in which to do it. So Now that he might actually get that studio with the perfect closet, He might change his mind.

The fundraiser stream was for Camera equipment and mics, the garage is still the garage. Sidecam was used pretty seldomly for E3 streams since you want to see everyone's reactions and presumably it's hard for someone to do that for 8 hour streams.

So just as for a general opinion, the GameTrailers voice guy (Brandon?) and Geoff Keighley kinda together for these extravagant, pompous shows rather than those indepedent youngin' things like Easy Allies

In short, Brandon Jones needs his own patreon to lend out his voice for multiple outlets. Has he done other stuff?
