Megalo Box 12

Pretty cool that Yuri took off his gear to fight Joe, now they'll both be scared from this fight(Joe is probably gonna die). I wonder if they will go out for the last fight and it'd be pretty funny if they did as the one regular boxing match will be the most intense instead of the ones involving gears.

Megalo Box

Next week will be Gearless Vs Gearless. Somebody called it earlier in the thread but I didn't think they will do it considering they repeatably said it is a pernament part of Yuri. Glad to see they didn't "anime it" by skipping over the consequences of removing it.

Interested to see if they pull a Tomorrow Joe or not because right now it sounds very likely considering Joe is pissing a lot of blood.

I can't wait for the finale.
Warning, major Ashita no Joe spoilers and speculation:
Yuri taking his integrated gear off to fight on Joe's is a pretty interesting sci-fi parallel to Rikiishi undergoing extreme weight loss training to fight in Joe's weight class in the original

Rikiishi died after that fight and with the next episode being the last, I'm guessing either Yuri dies or both of them die.

Boy that trailer for the new Dragon Ball miniseries didn't look too hot.

At least the designs for the new movie look great.

Megalobox - 09 & 10
It was nice to see Yukiko and Sachio getting more character development. Can't wait to see Joe
getting out of this fix.
Also, fuck scorpions.

Last Period - 09

Now, this show's been gloriously absurd, but the villains employing an android dominatrix supervisor for Wiseman is the last thing I'd expect.
And yet it escalates in the most glorious way imaginable.

Whats good right now AnimeERA? preferably something not involving high schoolers
Puzzle & Dragons has elemntaey schoolers and is good

FutureCard Buddyfight has elementary schoolers and is also amazing.

Beyblade Burst has elementary schoolers and middle schoolers and is similarly amazing.

Major 2nd is a baseball one that continues to be awesome and features elementary schoolers.

Hinamatsuri 12

While it was expected to be slow in the first couple episodes it nicely turned around. I'll definitely be missing the heartwarming moments of Anzu, Hitomi's endless drop into despair, and Hina's cluelessness on what is going on around her.

Black Bullet ep.1-4
So, I decided to watch this on a whim over the past couple days, I mean, it's entertaining, I guess, but damn is it a rushed mess at the same time. It's like they just put a whole season of events and materials into 4 episodes.

Megalo Box ep.12
At lease we have a lot more context for Yukiko's disposition. That is one hell of a decision for Yuri though, got me pumped for the fight

Tokimeki Memorial Only Love ep.3-4
This show is certainly stupid, but it's stupid fun at the same time.

Daily Live of HS Boys ep.9
Cousins, lol... poor imouto got rekt!

this episode was fucking funny. the whole show was, really. i loved how understated the joke deliveries were most of the time, they're kinda just thrown out there without unnecessary lingering. time for the manga i guess.

Kizumonogatari 1, 2 & 3

you know...anime is extremely good.

i can't help but admire this self-indulgent disaster of a franchise. i love that this simple coming of age story is executed in the most extravagant, edgy, arthouse and horny way possible. what a beautiful mess.

They already went beyond the initially promised period so I can't complain. No one failed anyone
I know it's past the initially promised period thus my statement "and that time has come"
the second line was supposed to be a joke in reference to what happened in the last episode without posting any direct spoilers, though i should have likely followed it up with "So he needs a few weeks to recover."

:P

Not complaining, but I can still be disappointed that it has come.

yes I know he technically won :P

Did Funimation decide to give All Might the Trump treatment while dubbing?

Why is he sunburnt?

Megalobox 12

Ep did a nice job of tying up some loose ends and drawing from earlier elements of the show such they have more narrative weight now. It was the good sort of downtime housecleaning ep before the big match. Wasn't super stoked on the episode until Joe found out about Yuri's decision and how much more focused he became as a result. Training montage has me hoping next week will be a blast and the questionable fight choreography will finally be absent.

Gundam Build DIvers 8

Beargguy fest was awesome. I'm behind on this so was a little surprised at how offended Riku was at the one girl not trusting her force or her friends. Very shouneny but in a good way.

It's not surprising. GGO's production was fraught right from the start - they knew in advance that they would have very little lead time to get ahead of production to the point that the recap episode was pre-scheduled way in advance, something you won't normally see with healthy production schedules. A1 has the advantage in this regard, and it shows. A shame that they got the inferior source material. Would've been nice to see GGO adapted with similar production values.

Lostorage Conflated WIXOSS 12

I like how this show cares so little about the card game it's supposed to market that it doesn't even feature in the final battle. Yeah I still don't get what was going on with Mayu and creating the entire system somehow. But uh, super duper golden ending where the dead return and even more people get Tama'd. Except that one girl who committed suicide. And Ulith and her sister I guess. Those two are still floating in the abyss last I checked.

I guess that's the end of the anime as a whole. Didn't really end on a bang honestly. Kiyoi's solid backstory didn't make her engaging enough to be the hero. But as a whole I guess I enjoyed the franchise. Despair and suffering through card games has its enjoyable moments.

Toji no Miko 24

I like this sort of ending. With the world ending conflict done a more introspective and personal conclusion for the main heroines is allowed to breathe and come to a satisfying conclusion. Once more they get to laugh at time and space. Everyone not dead gets a happy ending, even those that really didn't deserve it. A somewhat ambiguous ending where we don't see them reunite with everyone, although I'm sure they made it.

I feel kind of conflicted with this show. It has some surprisingly good concepts with the world building, swordplay, nature of the monsters, and more. The characters are all interesting with their own backstories and motivations, and no one important feels left behind. The fights can get intense when the budget was there. But something held the show back. On paper everything was great, but the direction just couldn't live up to what they wanted to do. I don't think it was bad, but it always felt duller than it should. It all lacked impact. This show won't win any awards, and I have no idea how other aspects of the franchise are doing, but I think they put in a good effort for the anime at least.

Wotakoi end
Kabakura likes Eromanga...I liked you Kabakura why do you have to do this. Nao-chan is oblivious, you just don't say that your brother's girlfriend is actually his first love
I like how many game and anime references they do, I had to double check when they said orbs because I am sure Hirotaka was playing FEH
Well I will miss this series, well maybe not, because I am really thinking of starting the manga

Very pleasant show. I enjoyed the reveal that the dictionary from all the skits was the ultimately the Daitokai mascot.

Record of Grancrest War Episode 24 END

Alright yet expected end, I assume this adapted the whole light novel series which is pretty interesting. I assume some side stories and other character development was most likely cut out and pacing more streamlined for the anime.

Conclusion was intersting with how Theo managed to unite everyone, do the good work/banish magic, and then let the world go back as it was but no longer with the Age of Chaos on our midst.

Do wish he had been a bit more of an interesting and personable lead than just the savior who had magic witches at his fingertips though. Highlight of the show was really the actual random battles and winning when he had disadvantaged numbers.

Alright end.
