So that entire scene were Tandy is sitting in the bus, to having her whole vision, to being back at the bus was one big shot:

No, just her sitting down with four people on the bus, the camera zooms into her face, waits a bit, then pulls out and noone's on the bus. That's the single shot.

Not really feeling it. The two mains are okay, if not great, but the good and bad cops are just limp and uninteresting. The special effects are not good, and they definitely need a higher budget. The scene in ep 3 with the cops in the forest looked like 80's BBC.

I stopped mid way and continued until tonight.

Already a bad sign when it's not grabbing my interest.

One more episode I might be out

Was Cloak & Dagger an obscure comic series? The most recent issues on Marvel Unlimited are from 2011, and I only found three issues.

Joseph and Aubrey are LIVE on Facebook right now:

And a new clip for tomorrow's episode. I think it's best that discussion for clips and previews stays spoiler tagged kinda like in the other tv show threads. Dunno, I don't care much, so up to you.

[edit] Here's another new clip from tomorrow's episode.

38yo dude here and I totally feel this series. It's been a looong while since the last time I was so much looking forward to the next episode of a show. I can't believe what they did with what in my opinion was the trash tier of Marvel's character catalog!

Just started the show with eps 1 & 3 (couldn't find a rerun of 2), liking it quite a bit.
Also allowed me to discover Jai Wolf with Starlight, in a great scene.

This is kind of boring, with so many entertainment options I guess I will only come back to it if there is big praise for it later on

Just caught up on the first 4 episodes, really in love with this. That opening episode is fantastic the whole way through.

They're really nailing the characters, Tyrone and Tandy are a real joy to watch, and I like that Ty's parents are actual, reasonable people.

Definitely sticking with this and looking forward to seeing where it goes.

The show is definitely a slow burn, but it's done in a way that's pretty compelling to watch, I don't know, still trying to put my finger on it. I'm gonna recommend the hell out of it when the entire season is available to stream. Right now, there aren't enough little victories or movements in the plot for me to be satisfied... But I still like watching the two leads.

That Greg kill got me good too.

I'll echo most of this. I could use a touuuuuch more comic in this book, but the burn is well done so far. I really like the specificity of the New Orleans references as well though too. The voodoo last week and the Big Chief stuff this week made me feel like I was watching a Treme season 5. I found the kill really shocking and unexpected for this type of show.

Hell yeah, this really made me think of Treme too.

Tonight was easily the best episode of the four that have aired.

Tyrone's dad introducing him to family? he didn't know about it was a good moment, and him picking the cloak his brother was supposed to have.

Poor Greg, got caught by the ol water delivery assassin trick. Roxxon looks to be a major obstacle for Tandy, maybe she gets some kind of win by the end of the season and helps her mom out.

Btw showrunner Pokaski has alluded to us not getting the costumes, and instead we will just get nods to the cloak this week and by the end.

I'm really loving this show. I would understand if some would jump off now, but sometimes I'm really enjoying these shows that takes it slow. I like that Tandy and Tyrone talk about the stuff and tries to understand each other. How they are big contrasts to each other. And damn did it get dark with Tandy trying to kill herself. The music keeps on delivering too. I love how the cloak used to be Billy's and how Tyrone wants to take it, finish it and walk around in it in the name of his brother. Such a strong connection. I know we'll only get these nods this season, but I hope in a sophomore season that Tyrone decides to put it on and fight for justice in the name of Billy. Really great connection here.

Btw, poor Greg really. He only really wanted a happy family with Tandy and her mom, and then I assume Roxxon proceeds to send someone to kill him because he has too much information and documents on them, thus Tandy stealing them by the end.

I also liked how she called out Tyrone for wanting to die instead of his brother, and all of these dark thoughts just strikes too close to home for them.

Loving the acting and the chemistry between the two. But boy, Tyrone you gotta listen to mom and dad next time and be the good boy they've raised you to be.

I can't wait for next week, and it's all set in motion now and things will proceed. It feels like this is way more tight than during Runaways' midpoint and I'm hopeful for the coming weeks. :)

I too love the slow burn, I consider they want to explore the characters before the powers and reason. I love how everyone has hidden depth. Tandy's mom isn't jsut a drunk, she is hurting and can't process it. Tyrone's parents stuff, but because they use to be in the dirt. #layers. Like all the characters are interesting enough that you wouldn't mind an ep focused on them.

I'm completely okay with slow character driven stuff if the characters are interesting. The characters are very interesting here

I agree with you all. I really like how they're taking their time with the character and story progression. It allows interactions like the ones with Tandy and Tyrone to feel bombastic and big. They have really good chemistry together and that final confrontation about privilege between a young woman and a black man was so well done. Of course a lot of the other stuff worked well too. Was not expecting that type of backstory for Tyrone's dad but it was so rich in history and culture that I absolutely loved it. It sucks that just when you were getting to really like the lawyer guy he gets killed out of nowhere. I wonder how deep this Roxxon thing goes if they're sending out hitmen like nothing. All in all I can safely say this a really special show.

I love this show so much. It's definitely top 3 for me for Marvel serialized shows now.

Loving the show too. Wish it was a Netflix series so I coulda watched 13 straight episodes though. Killing me having to wait every Thursday.

I know WE all love it, but how's it doing ratings-wise? Don't wanna get my hopes up only for it to disappear after one or two seasons.

It broke records on Freeform with it's premiere so I imagine itt pretty safe for right now.

It broke records during the premiere, but then fell during the third episode. I dunno how it's done this week so far. That said, it's my impression it's doing just as well as Runaways which was picked up for a second season, so I'm at least expecting another season and an announcement sometime after the end of this season.

If anyone missed it, here's the promo for episode 5. It all seems to pick up steam now:

I'm hoping the plot picks up with the whole assassination thing and cloak meeting with the cop.

That last episode was incredible and elevated this show so much in my eyes. By far the best episode yet with the best dialogue/writing at that, especially in that Church.
