Randoms leaving just because enemy team is a full stack is beyond irritating. Fucking cowards.
I like the ones that decide to stay in the match but won't move forward. So afraid of dying that virtual death that they can't be bothered to push a team that could very well be defeated. This game is a magnet for worthless ass players.

As much as I play a lot of the game I can't stand playing on certain maps and if I run into that map like three times in a row.

Yeah between that and some of the maps not feeling right for 6v6 I mostly stick to 4v4 Quickplay but even then while I liked the Supremacy game mode in Destiny, here it feels like the games go on forever. Not sure what's changed there if anything but I think 75 points to win the match would be plenty.

How's Borealis now? I got the catalyst for it so I'm wondering if it's worth unlocking.

The increased reload speed is okay, I appreciate being able to swap elements faster thanks to it. The gun itself? Really good. Break a shield with the correct element and then you're doing double damage with every remaining shot in the magazine. Pair it up with a Lunafaction Rift and you're firing off loads of double damage shots.

lol I feel your pain. It's a fun mechanic but the grind is rough if all you really want is the catalyst. I'm a crazy person though so I'm doing the catalyst grind on pc and ps4. Worth it for graviton lance and sunshot but yeesh I might skip sweet business.

My hope is that by doing it so early, they add a fourth one.

It's going to be really difficult for a lot of people to hit rank 50 on all three Rallies. Players should be given that extra Rally to work on a Faction they missed hitting 50 on.

So I was on Nessus tonight and randomly saw GlamFM. We're not friends on PS4 so it was legit just him randomly appearing in the same instance as me.

As I was running up to him, he left.

I'm trying to play more lately, trying to catch up on things. One of such things is that I never got the Midnight Coup before I got tired of doing raids. Got to pay more attention to discord mentions again I guess.

Also these exotic weapon pursuits.

I should also probably actually get more than half of my powerful engrams each week. Get closer to 385 and do all the other shit I haven't in Warmind, like EP.

I think whether I actually finish this stuff is what is going to decide if I buy into Forsaken or not.

I just realized I don't think I have Borealis...how odd.

I mean I was doing the fated engrams, the 2nd one I got repeat (got Stompees that I already have) So I assumed I had every non quest exotic. But apparently I don't?

Maybe it's in my collection, gonna check but I don't think so...

Really weird. Fated Engrams broke again or what?

Edit: Yup, just bought a fated engram and got Wardcliff Coil that I've had for 50 years. Bungie is so incompetent. And checked my exotic collection and no borealis.

I guess I could start spending some of my 2K+ weapon parts trying to get it but that'd be a pain in the ass. Just weird that as much as I play I dont have something.

Oh well.

I thought Bungie incompetence was accepted. But I get criticized for it? Totally natural! Nothing odd at all!

Wow Jade Rabbit doesn't seem too bad.

It's like Polaris Lance that doesn't suck. My hopes for a decent scout that can actually outgun at range redeemed?

We'll see with a few more games. Potatoes can always skew results.

I had not messed with it really since D1. Pulled it out for the masterwork.

250 kills is a lot since you expect I dunno, 6-7 per match with your primary?

Seeing jade rabbit mentions and I have to agree, I started to work on my catalyst for it last night and I actually really really like it in D2, might not be D1 levels but it's solid

Has Bungie mentioned adding the radar back to the game for Forsaken? Have they talked about PvP improvements at all for Forsaken?

I already half changed my mind. Getting whooped with Jade by GL at stupid distances is maddening.

Still a fun gun sometimes though.

I think they should rework the exotic bonus. Any bonus that depends on body shots is problematic since that's kind of not the goal of any weapon, to hit body shots. It works ok on headseeker because of the nature of pulses but that's about it. Give some kind of damage bonus for precision hits.

Of course easy to say now where scouts are terrible. In a meta where they aren't, might make it OP.

I'm super tired though, and playing crucible tired isn't really a fair test.

Cant see the catalyst helping much either. Polaris Lance seems almost perfectly stable and it's still not really good.

Scouts are just in a terrible place right now, as a scout guy it sucks.

Also maddening, having a streak going in Valor and suddenly Bungie dumps you in a game in progress your side is down by 50 in. This happens A LOT.

I guess I don't see a solution though, the solution is to not drop people in the losing side of games. But then that means a drop is a certain defeat, instead of at least theoretically getting it backfilled and having a chance. Hell that's half the reason I play quick play, I know in competitive if someone drops it's over and that sucks.

But they could give you some kind of point compensation for dropping you in the losing side of a match (unless you somehow win). Or not count it as a loss for streak purposes, or, something,

I think one solution is to hand out the temporary bans in quickplay as well, although some would argue that would be too extreme for what is a casual playlist. But eh, I don't care. Stop quitting.

I've had games where some of my team quits, we start losing, but they then get replaced and then I end up winning. PVP in Destiny 2 is just a bizarre experience in a number of ways.

I just can't get over how odd PvP in this game is compared to other games like yesterday I went back to Battlefield and it's night and day. You have even more people yet it somehow manages to not be a team shot fest. You play as a team even more so imho yet you can still do damage as your own person.

There's a major weirdness with how people play D2 crucible, i just can't stand how all it is is lanes where you start to fire and then more guys just appear in those lanes every single time. You can never just make kills and get away without being polished off by the guy next to them.

I think that radar is also a huge culprit with how it picks up literally anyone across the map almost, if it picked up only when someone was in fairly close proximity that would allow people to flank more and actually surprise some people

I don't know but I had more fun returning to Battlefield for a few matches than I have in the last couple weeks of D2 crucible since their so called mm "fix"

Finally get a taste of clearing all 7 Escalation Protocol, still 355 LL but got lucky and paired with 3 385 and 1 (or 2?) 370. Orpheus Rig (I assume its the Hunter Exotic that allows them to spam Shadowshot, right?) probably the only reason we managed to finish it lol.

Also DARCI and Borealis Catalyst dropped for me back to back.

I don't even know what I'm doing at level 5-7 and just bunny hopping collecting orb, spamming Novabomb/nades, blindfiring Wardcliff coil and reviving people. It's goddamn fun though and seems like a cool endgame content for those of us that don't raid. Can't wait until I get into proper LL to properly enjoy it.

Wuestion, the Ikelos weapon drops directly from the boss (speaking of which, I laughed so hard at 3 people sword smashing the Crota clone) and not the chest, right ? Haven't finished the campaign yet so I can't access the chest.

Next round of exotic armor changes: https://www.gameinformer.com/2018/0...nges-to-exotic-armor-pieces-in-upcoming-patch

… they get that they're supposed to make them more interesting, not less, right?
Your source is wrong.

ACD/0 Feedback Fence
  • Now grants Fury Conductor stacks on melee hits instead of kills.
  • Fury Conductors now grants stacking melee damage resistance.
    • These changes were mostly aimed at making Fury Conductors better in PvE encounters. While the Feedback Fence could protect you from hordes of Thrall by keeping them staggered, it just wasn't that much use against something like a Hive Knight wielding a sword. The changes also make this Exotic better in the Crucible, but the solution of just shooting opponents still works.
Feedback fence still works like it used to, but it adds melee damage resistance on top of what it used to do.

The respawn timer in IB needs to be reduced to around 2-3 secs cause 5 is way too long and leads to way to much steamrolling with a competent team.

I wonder if Bungie would ever consider doing 5v5 rather than 6v6 since a lot of the maps are too small.

Probably not since most of the titan exotics suck in comparison to the other classes.

I'm seriously considering levelling up a hunter or warlock for Forsaken since it seems titans got the shit end of the stick across the board in D2. Crap exotics, underwhelming new super, massive nerf to Ward of Dawn and the support benefits from that seem to be going towards one of the new supers for the Warlock: Bungie favourite class.

I still am a bit confused when I see that mentioned about the maps when I feel D1 maps were just as small and in some cases smaller and they'd worked out just fine.

Maps like anomaly all pretty much take place in the middle of the map, and that's a pretty small area imho, yet it all still works.

Twilight gap, rusted lands, these aren't massive maps.. I don't find the D2 maps to be that much larger at all, I even am pretty sure Bungie said these maps were all created with 6v6 in mind.

The maps seem small because so few people break off and it's because you run into 2 players you're fucked. And half the time you run into 3 or 4.

In D1 one the ttk was better and you were equipped better to handle 2 to 3 guys sometimes. So breaking off was what a good portion of people did, not that they're weren't converge points where people clashed and battled but the overall feel was more spread out because people played that way since the hake allowed it.

Here everyone just runs in clumps and the dynamics to me make the maps feel smaller. But I truly believe if there was a way to measure the sizes of D1 and D2 maps you'd find that they're closer in size than you'd think, but that's just me.

You're probably right that most maps are probably similar to D1 but in D2 they just feel so much smaller and it most likely ties into TTK. Midtown for example is a map that just feels so small and congested that its so easy to get steamrolled on. Vostok on the hand, feels about right for 6v6 but not so great for 4v4.

Never to late to join the Warlock master class. Everybody going to be begging for that Warlock Dawnblade support in their fireteam in Forsaken.

DFA is my new favorite handcannon. i love how versatile it is. it feels oddly more consistent than Midnight Coup (which i still love), and has more range, and if you use drop mag+a kinetic reload mod it feels like it has outlaw with the benefit of it not being dependent on headshot kills to proc (although you do lose ammo with drop mag if you don't know when to reload)

The small feel of the map is do to less long range sight lines in a lot of them. That's why a map like, say, Twilight Gap feels pretty good (has decent close and mid sight line areas and an open/long sight line area) but Anomaly feels small (few open areas, almost zero relevant long sight lines). D2 took more care to close up sight lines in a lot of maps to make it harder to lock areas of the map down without putting yourself at risk. This is really evident when looking at Shores of Time, where in D1 there are multiple long distance sight lines that allow a team to hold C and B points at relatively little risk as long as they're good with a Scout or a Sniper Rifle.

There *are* a few maps in D2 that have long sight lines but they're relatively rare and and typically not quite open enough to completely lock down an area of the map. Which is generally a good thing for those specific maps. For other maps though, there's so many corridors, doorways, and corners that the maps feel small because there's really not much room for peak and strafe fights. That's part of what makes focus firing so strong (combined with TTK) but focus fire isn't really what makes things feel small. These tight corridors, corners, and doorways are also why shotguns and swords are the more efficient Power weapon as opposed to Sniper Rifles and Rockets. Because you can camp a corner or rush through these claustrophobic areas and 1 shot people regardless of whether or not they know you're coming as they have no time to put any considerable fire on you before you're in killing distance. TTK contributes to this, sure, but even 3 tap guns are going to lose to a shotgun or sword in these corridors.
