Parts have fixed stats ? like a Dom head will always have the same stats ? And no merge ??
This is quite disappointing and weird. Why did they change the formula like that..

Don't buy NGB, at least not at full price. GB3-Break Edition is a better game even though it has its own issues.
Wow perfect first post to read just opening the thread. I imported GB3 years ago, but I haven't put more than like 6 or so hours into it so I was wondering if I should just skip to this one. But if it's worse and I already own the last one, then clearly there's no point.

Gundam Breaker 2 is my favorite in the series mainly for the storyline, but Gundam Breaker 3 is a great game and available on a current generation system, and it's in English.

Just played through the first 3 missions so far and its pretty rough. The game runs pretty decent but there are times when the game just freezes for a few seconds and going through menus has a slight delay, mind you I'm playing on a PS4 Pro. Also I'm not a big fan of the mini missions you have to do while you are in battle. Having to focus on neutral forces and main enemy forces can be a big pain in the ass to handle, mostly when there is a whole bunch of enemies on the field. Next big complaint is that you have to deliver parts to your parts box while fighting to actually get them. Not a big fan of what the did with the game, so if anybody wants to play I would just suggest they get Gundam Breaker 3 or wait till the game becomes cheaper.

Yep. my partners and i were in mp demo matches and we didn't give a SHIT about the objectives or trying to kill the other team. We were just vacuuming up parts and depositing them in the box.

So this game adds a 3v3 mode, but the whole game in general turns out to be crap.

Build Fighters Try introduced 3v3 battles and it turned out to be inferior to it's predecessor.

So what you're all saying is that this is all Build Fighters Try's fault.

Anybody know if Vidar (the Gundam, not the shitty disguised character) is in it?

Also, it sounds like Epic Games should just plaster "Unreal Engine will shit the bed if there's too many things going on" all over the documentation, because all the performance problems give me vanilla XCOM 2 flashbacks.

Tried the first event mission, seems kind of chaotic. This will take some getting used to but I've played worse games.

It's what, $90 plus exhorbitant shipping costs, right?

I've dropped $100 for the fancy limited edition Gundam game sets from Japan that had models or figures. I'd still say no.
It's hard being a Gundam fan. On one hand you want to support them, on the other hand you don't to support shitty games, on the other hand it could send the wrong message that people don't want localized Gundam games, on the other hand it could send the wrong message that we're okay with shitty games...

Is it at least equal or better than Target in Sight? I kinda like Target in Sight. If it's at least on par with it, the Age II gunpla could make it worthwhile for me...

I'm a huge Gundam fan and enjoy mobas to an extent. Maybe this games multiplayer would be fun but I have no interest in multiplayer. So if you want a single player experience get Gundam breaker 3 break editon Instead (I put my money where my advice is. After 3 hours of NGB I ordered GB3BE on Amazon.)

Target in Sight is a horrible nearly unplayable mess of a game. It's a shame that was the only single-player UC game we saw in North America, cause BR0081, Unicorn and SIde Stories are all great games.

Welp, booted back up GB3:BE because I haven't played it in a while, game's still super fun.

If anyone was looking forward to this and didn't play GB3, the Break Edition is cheaper than the normal version on the Singapore PSN store. It's actually surprisingly easy to make an account there, and it's worth the extra step in getting it. You can of course play it on your normal PSN account as long as the Singapore account has your PS4 as it's primary system. As much as I despise the site, you can get Singapore PSN credit really easily from Play-Asia to buy it. It's 69.90 SGD, which is about 52 bucks.

I've played about 4 hours....and I think I hate this game. It's not outright broken like the last one I played (Crossfire), but It either completely bores me with a story I care nothing about, or the missions are chucking stupid quests at me like "OPEN 8 CONTAINERS" while not even having what I would say is decent combat....

Think my first custom didn't turn out too bad. Don't have many parts yet though.

Head: RX-78-2
Body: Shining Gundam
Arms: Zeta Gundam
Legs: Jesta
Backpack: S Gundam
Weapon: Buster Rifle (Wing Gundam)
Shield: Wing Gundam

I don't usually care for unsteady framerates in most games but man, it's pretty bad in this and I would get like 1-2 second freezes here and there when there's a lot of enemies on screen(playing on OG PS4). Haven't played GB3 in awhile but everything in NGB feels clunkier for some reason and the missions aren't really great......played like 6-8 missions so far and it really didn't draw me in like how GB3 did in the beginning. Gonna play a lot more tomorrow but I'm a bit disappointed in it so far....

Just realized, this game doesn't have boost-canceling ? Wtf? How?

You mean just boosting in any direction that you want to after the initial boost?

The boosting doesn't feel nearly as good as it did in 3. I don't even know how the hell they came to that decision.

I sold my copy off, dodged a bullet! Paid 6700 and got 5300 back so I'm happy.

No. It's the boosting that you can do in mid-combo. In NGB once you initiate the combo you need to wait for animation to finish before you can boost again. Boost-canceling is the big part that makes GB3 combat so fluid. Wtf were they thinking.

Kusoge. The PSP Gundam Battle games feel so much better than this. xD

Anyway, did get to make this early on though thanks to the parts that drop from the event mission. It's currently eating up these early scenario enemies like nothing.

Ah jeez, when this got announced I canceled an order I had for the Asian version of Breaker 3. Playing it now and realizing I can't do one of those goofy "four Ball units stacked on top of one another builds" is a huge downer.

I mean, it's kinda fun, but I'm also hoping GB3 didn't become super rare since January.

It's still pretty easy to pick up the Break Edition physically.

Alternatively, you can buy the game on Singapore PSN using codes from SeaGM (cheaper, supports PayPal) or Play Asia.

I think Switching to UE might be the worst decision in the grand scheme of things.

Didnt hurt all the other UE4 games bamco has made/published.

They fucked up, plain and simple
True but I imagine they had a hell of a time importing every asset and features they had on the previous engine on top of adding more features. Like missing attacks and such are one of those unfortunate things not carried over. True they fucked up but I think the scope of their project was too large when transferring to a new engine.

I feel like this is a project they decided not to throw money at. one of those "if they had more engineers, they could have gotten everything in". but given this is one of their anime games, budget wasn't particularly high.
