DLC has a buttton and you can buy it in NG+
What do you mean by a button? I already got the 60k from the DLC but spent all.

You can get a lot by buying the expansion pass or doing NG+ and trading bonus XP for crystals(like 10k or 20k crystals for 200k bonus xp).
The game is huge, I really doubt I'll play it again.
If you're not on a NG+, you can sell useless parts : open the Poppi "shop" menu and press Y to convert parts to crystals.
I took a look into this and it still not enough, I ended up changing my tank, they really should have given a better option to get ether.

So I've been watching the archives of Skye's stream as I grind money and development levels in Gormott/Argentum. It's nice to see how even some of the voice actors are enthusiastic about this game.

Go to the rear gate of tantal, keep proceeding until it seems like there's no way to go across, find an ice on top, stand on that and it will break, then go down and push the ice. I'll try to pinpoint the location, let me ss

A shame there is no alternate costume for Poppi within Challenge mode, considering there is one for every drivers and main blades. They're supposed to add more costumes later, I heard?

What are those? Things I find in chests?
Oops. Yea. They are technical manuals, after getting them (key item), you can start crafting higher level parts.
There's 2 more manuals in later locations. Total 5.

Also worth mentioning if you have expansion pass, go to Uraya olethro playhouse and try out challenge battle mode. You can get poppi parts from there too (from NPC), there's some lower level challenges.

Don't forget burst symbol accessory x3 for huuuuuge chain attacks.

Oh I totally forgot T-elos. Her mini quest was funky, I felt I was with Malos sister. :')

I still have loads of blade quests to do... one day maybe. September can't come soon enough for me.

I've played for 225 hours and have adored my time with it, but I want that new story!

I hope they never fix these OP blades lol I am not even close to Max on the new blades but love when they are so powerful and kill all huge bosses like melting butter

Being OP is fun!

I think these new blades may been introduced with the upcoming new difficulty in mind. Shulk and Fiora are amazing, but might not be so amazing against beefed up enemies.

I've read that chain attack damage will be severely nerfed and enemy levels will be much higher. They'd have to be some kind of reward on offer though, otherwise I'm not sure I'd play through it again... even a new title screen would be something! :P

I think she's really enjoyed it, a few frustrating parts aside. She'll finish it on Tuesday I reckon.

Locking story progression behind field skills is bullshit, I'm now stuck because I need 1 ancient mastery, this game really have some poor design choices.

It's been a while we didn't see that. ^^°
Don't forget field skills are stackable, even on inactive party members. Some common blade have useful field skills too.

This makes you want to get your blades level up and also makes you want to have more of them because you can stack field skill. Often when I thought I was stuck there was a second field skill requirement I was overlooking. But most opinion out there think they suck, but most people refuse to use guides anyway.

Aw that sucks. I want my most used blades to have 3 aux cores each. Otherwise, some of these new outfits from the challenge mode will have to go unequipped.

I reached lv 99, but still can't beat dino-drama, what party set-ups do you guys recommend?
I usually use Tora as tank, and Mia as a healer, and I do most damage with Rex, but it's not working.

I always die in wave 3, when the ones that flight appeared

for me it was Crit Heal Mythra proper pouch items, Easy mode. Also ignore the big dino just take care of the ones that come in waves and take the big dino out at the end.

What exactly does "Driver Conditions" mean on the challenge missions? There is no details whatsoever and can't start missions with that because "The Driver requirements aren't met". It be nice to know what they are... Tried switching a few drivers from my active party, but still nothing.

See the boxes below Driver Condition, if two slots = only 2 drivers allowed

So I'm at Chapter 6, about 40 hours in. How much longer do I got? I dunno if I can do another thirty. I like the some of the story and the gameplay, but now I feel like stuff is just happening and I'm missing some of the context. Maybe more is explained soon, but I'm right at the edge of stopping unless stuff literally starts coming together this chapter.

Thanks, and wow.. i just wasted +20 mins on Torna's Finest with only Malos left to kill because Malos sent Morag flying down the ruin's hole and then killed me in a few hits before I could res her.
Lesson learned : Play this mission as tank yourself so the NPCs won't drag you near the hole so they can knock you down there...

Wanting to branch out a bit on what games I play. I dont think Ive ever played a JRPG before, but I decided to order the collectors edition of this game anyway. Is the story pretty well contained, or should I play the the first one?

edit nevermind, faq answered it for me

There's a lot to take in at first, but stick with it. If you need any help, drop in here and we'll see what we can do. :)

I don't really play JRPGs, but I took a chance on the original Xenoblade Chronicles and fell in love with kt. Fingers crossed it clicks for you.

Hey guys, this game really caught my eye recently. I'm not a huge JRPG gamer, it's not that I don't like them it's just I've been exposed more to paltformers/action adventure/shooters mostly, but some of my favorite games have been JRPGs/SRPGs (Dragon Quest V, Chrono Trigger, KH2, Shining Force, etc.).

Thing is, I have no idea if I'll like the game or if it's even for me. I've read the combat systems/etc. take some time and patience to get use to, and I can definitely do that.

But I'm curious is now a good time to jump in? From what I've read when the game launched it had some serious QoL issues, which have been addressed by patches since then. Is the game newcomer friendly? Thanks.

(I read the FAQ and didn't see a QA like this, if I missed it I'm sorry)

Yes, pretty much every major QOL has been addressed to some extent, at least for the annoying ones are definitely fixed.

Is it a good time to jump in? Why not, you are getting monthly support with new content (paid and free) with a huge, huge, huge amount of content. Like 200-300 hours of content. Harder difficulty is also coming super soon, although the game is extremely balanced now with no grinding required.

You are not into JRPG is a pretty tough one though. This game is very, very anime-ish, so you should at least know what to expect. Maybe not as cheesy as KH but there's stuff like friendship power.

As for the combat side of things, the game is pretty slow for the first 5-10 hours, gradually going faster as you unlock more system, and yes, it's a super complicated game with a lot of mechanics happening at the same time. However, once you know what you are doing in the later parts, the combat is a whole new experience. Very fast combat, you are always in control, involving a lot of strategy/planning, it's simply one of the most fun combat system ever for me as a huge rhythm game fan. But I have to repeat again, the game can be extremely complicated for newcomers and yes, it takes us a lot of time to understand them, there's a serious amount of tutorials in this game and you still need additional guidance.

And for that, this thread is a fantastic place for any question/help.
There's also a very detailed combat write up in the thread below. Feel free to ask any question or if you have any concern.
