Yeah, i finally got around to watching , and it was appropriately tense/epic.
As part of our Summer Roadmap blog that we posted last month, we talked about our new 'Rocket Pass' system that's coming later this year. If you've been looking for more details since then, then today's your day!
I like the sound of that pass. Was kinda hoping it would kill lootboxes altogether, though. Oh well.
They have added that. It's in the audio options.Booted up the game last night after taking a few months off.
Holy. Crap. That new music at the menu. Sooooooo. Gooooood.
I still can't believe they haven't added a way to play music during competitive matches.

Yeah, when the update trailer was released, it was mentioned in the synthwave thread that we hoped that music was a full track. Lo and behold it's the perfect summer menu music.
what synthwave thread? i've been listening to a lot of it while i play, but i'd love to find some proper curated lists :D
Oh snap, for real??? Had no idea. Relatively new update, or am I just an idiot?
I'm over 800 hours in and just level 66. It's been my goal to get rocketeer and I'm sad the XP is getting revamped before I ever attained it. Hopefully that title will still exist for level 75 and stuff beyond will be its own thing.
Im gonna get the pass. I'm a sucker who already spends money on keys. But I'm not really excited for it. Feels schemey, just another way to get money and chase fortnite money.
But I'll always welcome new cosmetics and challenges and all that to keep me playing. I'm sure they'll do a good job.
Man, I uninstalled it on switch because i never got matches in ranked. I had crossplay off because there's a clear disadvantage with digital throttle and vsync and very short throw on the joycon sticks.Anyone on Switch care to help me escape silver? I'm not a brilliant player, but I've been getting some terrible matchups ;-;
I've been getting regular matches this past week, but the week before that it was a barren wasteland. Had a ton of connection issues too. I know what you mean regarding the Joy Cons. Feels completely different every time I switch platforms.Man, I uninstalled it on switch because i never got matches in ranked. Wow!
Savage!
Wait, so if you just let gravity do it's thang, you can then flip at any point regardless of time from wheels leaving contact? Looks like way past the window for a flip.

Fukken smooth either way.
it'll be normalized within a few months. My tech is so far behind since I don't actively practice anything. I can't even wall to air dribble, but I can defend it pretty decently. That has become so common place that it's just a thing you're expected to know to defend even at low ranks now. Ceiling shots will common soon enough as well.ye but literally only pros and...idk, a couple dozen people in the world besides it? can do it

Pros 2 years ago couldn't do shit Joe Schmoe does every day now. The bar gets set, then it gets raised as more people learn the tech. It's like that in fighting games and works the same here. Most players won't NEED to learn it, so it will be slower to be adopted, but it will become more common, for sure.ye no it wont
literally scored that on 2 pros the other day and they turned in expecting no shot.
It's never going to be normalized because a lot of pros cant do it
