Nice
3 months after taking delivery of our model 3, my wife and are sick of trading off driving days.
The wife managed to drive through some standing fast enough to tear the rear under aero shield off. No bueno.
For Model 3 owners how is the sound system? I probably won't get one anytime soon but I just wanted to hear from current owners how the sound is.

Heads up people. If you want to be grandfathered into free Internet access on your car for "high data use" apps like streaming radio, you must order before July 1st.

I wonder if remote access through the Tesla app will fall under the standard package.
I was thinking about getting a model 3 as a daily driver and a performance car for the summer. Worth it ?
The performance of even the standard RWD 3 available now is, uhI was thinking about getting a model 3 as a daily driver and a performance car for the summer. Worth it ?
Looks like summon is in the next firmware (2018.24.1) release! :)
damn that sucks! hope youre ok and hope the car can get repaired asapGot rear ended on my way to work this morning. Car has damage to the rear bumper. Awesome.
Hoping that too, because my wife is still waiting for the configuration email and she preordered one of the first days the Model 3 went up. It is maddening still waiting.

Sadly this is true. :(
Tight parking spots can be helpful. At one of my office building parking lots the parking spaces are super tight. I'm hoping that by using summon I can exit then park my car making it easier to get in and out. So it's not completely useless but I get what you are saying.Whenever I see this feature in modern cars I laugh at the ones that actually use it. It's so much faster to just drive out yourself. So much more convenient.
Thanks, neck is a bit stiff but I'm ok. The car is completely driveable so I'm hoping that they can order the parts in advance then a short turn around on the fix once I bring it in. We'll see.
Looks like AWD and Performance options are now available for everyone with a current invite...
Thanks so much for letting me know! Ordered the Model 3 with AWD. Fulfilled all of the requirements (taking pics of driver's licence, insurance, etc). Just need to do an application for a loan which they will process closer to the delivery date (depending on interest rate, might pay with cash instead depending on the rate). Estimated delivery of Sept. - Nov. 2018. Canadian here located in Calgary.
Is it known when the standard interior will be an option? Or can people already opt out of getting the premium interior?
No clue. I would buy tomorrow if I could ditch some or all of the "premium" features.
I recently went to my closest Tesla Store in Northeast Ohio as they just received a Model 3 display model
It was my first time in a Tesla Store and it was an interesting experience. I've certainly read a lot about Tesla stores and seen a lot of videos but it was interesting seeing it all in person. Here's their display Model 3 (sorry for the poor quality):
(See my SXT 2013 Challenger in the top right. lol)
I wanted to take more pictures but they started showing the car to someone else right as I started taking pictures so I felt weird about it. Their display model is exactly the color I was thinking of getting so it was great seeing that in person. The Tesla store employee I was talking to seemed to think that with premium features there will never be a time with the Model 3 where you'll be able to pick and choose which specific premium features you do and do not want. So basically it will only be an all or nothing sort of thing or that's at least what he said. I didn't pry further to see if he was basing that on some knowledge he had or if he was just making an assumption but I would be kind of bummed if what he said was true as I'm really only interested in a couple premium features.
Either way, not that big of a deal and it was really cool to see the car in person. I'm 6'4 300lbs and can confirm that with the driver seat moved all the way back, the driver side door closed and the seatbelt on not only do I fit fine but it's downright comfortable for me to sit in. It was slightly awkward to get into but I had no problems getting out of the car. I will say that it'll probably be a rough ride as far as leg room goes for anyone sitting directly behind me unless they're a child but overall I would say it passed my test. lol
Is that Gunmetal Gray? Boii.
Hmm, I might have to head over to the east side in the near future.
I saw a Model X in Avon the other day. Teslas are still super rare around here.
Where's the closest place I could check out a showroom model 3? I'm in Harrisburg PA
That's a good question. I happened to come across an article (which I'm having trouble finding now) two weeks ago that listed the Tesla Store nearest me as one of the Tesla Stores that was receiving a Model 3 by the end of the week. You could just call up the closest Tesla Store and ask. I think the store near me is supposed to get some to test drive soon-ish (within the next month I believe is what the employee told me? I think? lol)
