Well I'll be fucking damned. I didn't think I'd live to see this day. :D Can't wait to get my hands on this.
Shouldn't they just release the thing before announcing it even a week before? That's just asking for a C&D
Bruv this is the internet

It should be possible to just enable debug mode and then refill meter by hitting one of the F# keys in training mode.Really cool stuff, the attention to detail is amazing. I especially love the animation of Cloud changing spells by shoving a materia into one of his sword's holes (though I hope that consuming both special bars when casting a spell is one of the oddities of the prototype). It took me a while to figure out how to complete Cross Slash (just hold Back and keep pressing the Special button with correct timing after each slash).
I now need a training mode that lets me play with permanent full bars and especially try all of the assists. In the meantime, for the curious you can try them by entering 2P versus mode and hitting each other until the cards become available (keep hitting the player to charge it up to higher "qualities", which are entirely different characters).
Game hasn't gotten a C&D in over a decade, you think it will now?
This is a surprise. Been checking for updates in the past and pretty much gave up thinking this will never see the light of day. I will try this out later. How's the player build so far?
Edit: So I tried launching the game, it's showing black screen despite hearing sounds. Anyone have this problem?

I tried, but still gives me a black screen. Thanks though.Try adusting the size of the game resolution in mugen's data files. It comes with a hige size by default
Weird. I wonder why they don't all workI tried doing just that with no success. I enabled debug without issue, and some of the debug hotkeys work (e.g. visible hitboxes, log, and a few others) but most doesn't. I even went so far as to look at the version of the debug keys wiki page from 2011, since that'd be the MUGEN version used by this, but no luck.
It really is a shame that this won't be finished. What they have now is a great foundation that's already pretty fun to play.
Link? Some people are continuing to work out infinites and the like on a discord channel. They just ported over to IKEMAN.

I'm really disappointed that I'm not able to try this due to the issue with black screen. I tried changing the resolution and the depth, still giving me the same problem. I wish I could send a message to Dani Oliver about this but I don't have a twitter and don't want to create an account.
Doubt this will help but just in case; I have a multi-screen setup and I notice when dragging the window from my main screen to another it goes completely black, dragging it back to my main things look fine again though.I'm really disappointed that I'm not able to try this due to the issue with black screen. Its a mugen clone with online support afaikI assume this ''IKEMEN'' is a program to allow online play? I'm not familiar with it, its been a decade or more since I played MUGEN. :)
I downloaded IKEMEN build, it didn't give me problems till I played training mode. There are times where it lags, then becomes normal, then the game becomes really fast. Yeah I won't bother him with this, I'm glad that I have this downloaded. Oh, I do have both mugen called Mortal Kombat Project 4.1 and Hyper Dragon Ball Z, they both work like a charm. Should I use either of there cfg files?A twitter account takes all of ten seconds to make, but I don't think he'd be able to help you much with it, the build is clearly provided as-is and it's not fair to ask him to troubleshoot every person that has issues with it.
That said you have quite a few other options:
- Check the IKEMEN build in the link above.
- Alternatively, download MUGEN and see if it works on your computer.
- If it doesn't, you have a much wider community that can help you troubleshoot (that is, MUGEN itself).
- If it does work, try copying the cfg files over the Card Saga Wars ones.
I don't have multi-screen set up so I can't try this but it's good to know. Thanks.Doubt this will help but just in case; I have a multi-screen setup and I notice when dragging the window from my main screen to another it goes completely black, dragging it back to my main things look fine again though.
Edit: So I searched for mugen cfg file and copied the contents to the CSW one. It works, it's missing music, but it works. Thanks for your help, much appreciated.
