Movie was great until they left the island. Very disappointed with the direction they went in and the "twist" was beyond stupid.

I'd put it on par with The Lost World. Jp3 is still the worst.

Such a dumb but sometimes entertaining movie(for good and bad reasons), I can see why people don't like it but I didn't hate it entirely, I just wish some things worked out better. I did find quite a bit of things to like though and 1 scene actually got to me for someone who grew up with the series since the 1st JP movie.

Also, I couldn't believe how it ended, Jurassic World 3 could go anywhere at this rate.

Just got back... It was super fun, really well made, paced, and acted. Nothing glaring to destroy my suspension of disbelief. Enjoyed it quite a bit more than Jurassic World 1.

Fun movie I liked the setups they were building and all the ensuing chaos that kept following Pratt/Bryce and company. Shout out to the dude from The Get Down he was funny !!!

Yeah... I have mixed feelings over this movie. Like... didn't people figure out creating a new dinosaur was a bad idea the first time.

Also, Claire and Owen acted like they switched their personalities from the first movie. It was a bit of a whiplash for me.

I thought it was lousy, climaxing at the end of its first third and then lumbering along rehashing The Lost World beats with paper-thin characters and uninspired dino encounters until it mercifully ends. Not a hint of tension or suspense in the whole thing and none of the set pieces left an impression. Even TLW (a movie I found boring as hell) at least had the RV over a cliff sequence. The sad part is that the rest of the production is really quite solid, from direction, visual effects to score. But man, this script is shit. And with Trevorrow writing again for the sequel, I doubt the implications the ending brings up will be explored in an interesting way.

Claire changed when she saw the Dino's dying in Jurassic World. That made her realize it where living animals and changed her to the person she was in part 2. Owen was still the same old Owen. It made perfect sense he would distance himself from society.

Everyone is being so hyperbolic it's hilarious. I think I get it, it's the same as with Star Wars, the new movie kicked your dog and ruined your childhood. No, Fallen Kingdom is not nearly as terrible as people are saying. I can rattle off ten truly bad summer blockbusters that were highly praised, like, oh i don't know, Kong Skull Island.

Unrealistic dinosaur pricing? That's the thing people are hung up on? Come on!

I wanted to enjoy this movie but I had a lot of issues with it. I didn't hate it, but I didn't necessarily like it THAT much either.

Can we talk about how:
  1. The guy in the beginning died because he "couldn't hear" the dinosaur near him, as if the ground wouldn't have vibrated from how big the dinosaur was?
  2. The guy in the beginning dying to the sea monster which was never addressed passed this point besides the ending scene with everyone surfing?
  3. The grand daughter being a clone of her mother only being addressed for like 1 minute and never being discussed at all for the rest of the movie's ending?
  4. The grandfather dying and this big ass mansion not having some sort of monitor incase something happens to the grandfather? Like, we have the ability to clone people/species or invent species but not a simple device for the grandfather's machine having a portable monitor for the nanny or whatever to be able to know if something is wrong with his health in general?
  5. The ending. All of that building up to "Welcome to Jurassic World" was super corny.
  6. The ending cutscene where they're all in the car. This bothered me, it would of been so much cooler if the moment Chris Pratt looked over, he saw Blue running besides them by the car and then the camera panning out for us to then an ending logo or whatever rather than what they gave us?
Maybe it's just me but these things off the top of my head kind of got to me.

Cloned children is some MGS shit, I don't think the series can recover.

Then again JP3 is a thing.

I didn't hate it, but it was dumb. It's fallen so far off the original JP that it's not even funny.

I enjoyed it for what it was. The plot twist I kinda saw coming with how much they were being mysterious about her identity. The only thing I didn't like was that the ending is very similar to JP2 with the dinosaurs ending up in the states one way or another lol.

Unless the only thing you cared about in regards to enjoying this movie was "did I see dinosaurs on screen" i can't even imagine how anyone could enjoy this movie. And unlike TLJ, I can't even say a single good thing about this movie.

This just feels hyperbolic to me. I can immediately think of a single good thing: the single shot underwater sequence in the first half. That was a fantastic action scene. I loved it.

Eh, I got no tension because you knew none of the characters were going to die so I sat there just waiting to move on. Its also tough to feel anything towards characters when the movie does so little to actually develop them or make them grow as characters. I just genuinely didn't enjoy anything about this movie. I could go on but I don't want also be the guy ranting about this movie like I do with TLJ haha. I just found it dull and didn't get any enjoyment out of any scene.

This is weird.

I actually liked the movie (third behind Park and World). But hated, Hated, HATED the characters!

I can forgive characters making realistically dumb decisions (see the 2017 flick Life for a good example).
What kills a movie dead in it's tracks is characters making dumb decision just to move the plot forward (Prometheus and Alien Covenant for terrible examples).

-Those clowns at the beginning. You're on a dinosaur infested island and REALLY you're gonna stand there with the deer in the headlights "I don't know what you want!" when people are CLEARLY non-verbally telling you to bring your fucking ass?

There was really no way to check that tank? Almost lost me in the first minute.

-Hated the computer nerd with his screaming and coward routine.
-Hated the vet with her acute lack of personality. Wanted them both eaten.

-Mills ass should have BEEN gone.

-In the elevator, that woman screaming for NO FUCKING REASON with indoraptor still in the cage with it's back to everyone.
-Speaking of...did they forget that the lead tracker was written to be somewhat intelligent/perceptive in the beginning of the movie? That might have been the dumbest catalyst for chaos in the entire franchise.

-Maise. Maise...I hated this child. I've never hated any other kid in the entire franchise. Not Kelly(who was supposed to be Kelly and Arby Goddamnit!). Not the brothers from World. But something about this character rubbed me wrong from the beginning. Maybe it was the acting, maybe it was her fritting and sneaking about, Maybe it was her constant screaming.

Or maybe it was the ending. I was ready to walk off if Claire pressed that button. It would have more irresponsible than Nick from TLW. Was relieved when she didn't do it.

When this selfish little fuck doomed the world...

I like the outcome though!

The ending is Malcolm's chaos theory ending coming home.

My favorite part was how Chris Pratt uses his tiny gun to shoot holes in the gyrosphere when the first movie went out of its way to have Jimmy Fallon tell me the glass could withstand .50 caliber bullets.

I'm secretly hoping the next movie will be about dinosaurs running around fucking shit up and killing everyone. then we'll be put of out of this misery lol. And a sequel about human survival in a world overrun with dinosaurs can be fun too

Guys, I have a question. When all the Dinos were suffocating from hydrogen peroxide or some shit, why didn't Ron Howard's daughter just open the emergency door to air out the space?

Funny enough I saw it in theaters as well, and I know there were people not happy with it as well.

It was also the 1st movie I ever saw in theaters.

I saw this tonight. It was the very definition of popcorn flick. I didn't think it was bad, but if you thought about it then the whole movie falls apart. There's so many holes, inconsistencies, and stupid decisions that plague the movie. Also, some of the jokes were just bad and Jeff Goldblum saying "Jurassic World" at the end of the movie... NOOOOOOO

Quite a step below Jurassic World and I'm not sure if there's even enough dinosaurs out there for there to be an actual Jurassic "world" so... not sure how that's gonna work out for the third movie unless there's gonna be an inconsistency with the amount of dinosaurs released at the end of this movie or there's another reason given.

What a glorious clusterfuck of a movie. I actually kind of like it... for all the wrong reasons of course.

Also, when the IT guy stabbed Dr. Wong with the syringe, was that tranq fluid? Or was that DNA?

This movie made me angry, very, very angry. I can't accept it for what it is and I find the twist with the clone girl moronic, and the ending was just stupid. I mean I knew that's where this movie was going when they announced the premise but, holy shit. How many people are going to die/ get eaten by the carnivores? They have no natural predators but humans. If the idea was to gather them all up and release them in a sanctuary (the entire fucking premise of the second movie with Isla Sorna but all those ones are magically dead) that would make sense but no, they're just out there now and no one is taking responsibility. I get it Trevorrow, "JURASSIC WORLD MEANS ALL THE DINOS ARE UNLEASHED!" Now watch the repercussions as Blue slaughters children in an Arizona suburb cause shes an animal and they're easy prey. Also how did she get to a desert so fast...wasn't the estate in the midwest?

There's just so much wrong here and I'm not along for the ride. Jurassic World was dumbfun but Fallen Kingdom crosses a line of stupid that I didn't think possible.

I think there is a lot of nitpicking in this topic.

-A woman screaming when she saw the Indorapter after he had killed someone seems like a completely normal reaction.
-The animals of Sorna aren't all dead.
-The cloning of humans is perfectly in line with the first book and was the next logical step.
- The Dino's where being killed because of the hydrogen cyanide.
-Maisie isn't screaming all the time, she scares the nanny but that's it. The scenes with her grandfather are quite touching.
- The guy at the beginning did not hear Rexy because it was storming.
- A senate hearing discussing the fate of rare animals doesn't seem that strange. We have debates in the Netherlands what do with deers in the winter.

If you are going to nitpick you can do it to every movie. Even the first and second Jurassic Park movies can be nitpick to dead as well.

They successfully sold a tons of dinosaurs during the auction. And the auctions were for whole species including eggs not just the living specimens shown in the cages.

Movie was fantastic. The direction, cinematography and use of light and dark were revaltory. This is cutting edge stuff imo.

My only complaint is the pacing at around the halfway mark as it transitioned from the island to the mansion.

Otherwise I was extremely happy as a 25 year fan (now 33 years old).

People are so nitpicky and boring these days.

Are you serious?

The only reason why we haven't cloned a human in reality is because no law or country would ever allow it.

The technology is there. It just hasn't progressed enough due to moral impediment.

Seems perfectly rational the geniuses behind bringing dinosaurs back (Lockwood and Hammond) could clone a human too.

There was a bunch of talk in the books about application of cloning to humans. Creating perfect humans with no disease etc.

It never got to the point of actually cloning humans in the books but it was always something discussed in regards to the applications or cloning beyond dinosaurs.

I'm also completely surprised for peoples hatred of this movie. This is NOWHERE near a Prometheus, Covenant, Krystal Skull,TLJ, Rogue One, Batman v Superman, Justice League, Ready Player One, The Prequels, Godfather 3, Suicide Squad level of shit sandwich. The narrative flowed relatively well, the characters stayed in character, the action was fun (albeit goofy), the child didn't ruin the movie, and the CG was fantastic. It's like a lot of people just like to complain.. like it gives them purpose. This wasn't a hollow, stitched together cash grab.. far from it. It was COHESIVE.. Something missing from ALOT of franchise sequels.

I'm cool with the whole human clone angle being introduced but give me more than some throwaway explanation by a comic book villain in the middle of a chaotic situation. I love how there wasn't even a reaction to the revelation by the protagonists.

Also, if they're that advanced with cloning, why not make super soldiers instead of going through the pain in the ass of collecting all those dinosaurs that literally want to bite off the head of their respective buyers?

It's an entertaining film in its own right and I'm capable of turning off my brain for some popcorn fun but the script really comes off daft.
