See, I don't see the problem in that. T-Rex is great. If anything, Goldblum was a more cliche return.

That very first T-Rex appearance when he killed the other dinosaur and used his famous roar was cringeworthy at best.

Not only that. The director decided to do that exact T-Rex roar/pose again in the last 5 minutes of the movie.

It felt like the director had his inner child direct those scenes again. It was so unnecessary.

You must be fun at parties...

What is the relevance of your shit post?

I said that I find the appearance cringeworthy because it was completely unnecessary.

Just because my opinion does not suit yours, does not mean you have to be so condescending.

Enjoy your movie. I also enjoyed it for what it was, but it was simple in execution.

T.rex to Velociraptor blood transfusion. Like you getting a blood transfusion from King Kong. LMAO. Must have either 2 or 3 fingers for it to work. They didn't try to get it from the lava proof Barynoyx because...?

Because it gave them a chance to do a full size animatronic for a hands on scene with dinosaurs like that which we haven't seen since the first movie like the sick triceratops.

How is it a shit post? What is cringeworthy about it? Most people would use this to describe a situation where there is something disturbing onscreen where they need to look away. It sounds either can't handle seeing dinosaurs fighting, or have little expectation of what to see in a Jurassic Park film. That's all.

Then only downside for me is that it was in the trailer.

I hate that the main villain is a renegade foundation director. If your motive is profit, you'll just embezzle from the old man. There's no need to launch an expedition fraught with risk, operate a secret laboratory in your boss's basement, and quibble over a hundred million dollars of dinosaur sales with an auctioneer when you already control billions. The bad guy needed some cheesy vision like Dr. Wu.

I thought they did him well. He isn't enough of a villian to carry his own film. He is basically the passionate Cobra Commander to the film's Destro.

MLB player, Carl Everett, made more money in his career than those fucking dinosaurs.

This is important.

I think the movie would have had hit 90% on RT if instead of evil russian weapons dealers buying live dinosaurs, it was all sports stars and movie stars buying them. They really missed an opportunity to do some great cameos.

Robert Downey Jr buys a ankylosaurus, gets eaten by a T-Rex
LeBron James buys a velociraptor, gets eaten by a T-Rex
Cristiano Ronaldo buys a Brontosaur, backflips off the T-Rex, does a reverse kick on its nose and escapes

That is your interpretation.

Cringeworthy can be many things; including 'awkward' and that word was exactly the one I meant.

There are also needs to be a freaking stop on companies releasing trailers that spoil stuff like that.

The entire island sequence got spoiled because of them. Felt like I have seen it all when I was sitting in the theaters.

Actually that scene was important in the thematic message of the power of nature. The roar was overpowered by the volcano erupting to the point that rexy was smacking its mouth because it got a mouth full of shrapnel.

I had a free ticket, so I went to see Infinity War again. I saw a trailer for this. I'm glad I hadn't seen it before I went to see the movie yesterday, because everyone is right, it spoiled the whole movie. I had only seen the first trailer, which only focused on the island, from what I remember

This was genius filmmaking. It's a comment on the social class when Blue smells the gas and jumps just in time as the explosion erupts the lab. The indoraptor caught in the moonlight, its cries toward the heavens, is a callback to the days of silent film. The little girl being a clone is a reminder that we are all the same deep down.

Trevorrow is brilliant. The best film since Book of Henry.

I kind of liked the island part. Everything else can go to hell though.

What I hate is that there's no tension or sense of danger because you know all the good guys will make it out okay. IT guy along with female hero are trapped and lava is pouring in along with a dinosaur appearing through the tunnel, but miraculously they find a ladder to escape just in time. Never mind the fact that they were in there for a while trying to get out.

Little girl can outrun a raptor and make it out okay. All the good guys survived without a problem.

Saw today with the kids. Much better direction than the first and just as stupid. I still had fun with it. Big budget B movie.

Don't get why the reviews are worse then the first?

I think this is better than the first JPW for me. There some scenes that were tense. The story was recycled parts of the first two JP movies. I appreciated the themes even if they only went surface deep in exploring them.

Goldblum felt more like Ian Malcolm in this than in Lost World. It seemed like he lost the character for that movie.

Got back a little bit ago. It was OK - not amazing, but a fine day date with the wife. It was too predictable and not enough story. I think I liked JP1 so much partially because the story bits.

The slowmo death of the Dino during th showdown was...Super lame. But people got excited, so it worked?

they didn't know the Barynoyx was on board. They all saw Rexy being transported to the boat.

I loved it, just as I loved Jurassic World. I'll never understand why Reset Era hates these movies more than other places.

I didn't care for it. It felt like a watchable Transformers movie. Explosions, fights, humor. So not awful, not great, just ok. Bryce Dallas Howard was hot as hell and the nerd guy was great.

Yea the audience clapped at that part for my showing.

I'm considering watching this movie so I decided to see what Era thought of it.

I thought the idea of "training" raptors was somewhat interesting going into JW but it I didn't like how it came off in the movie....and now they just went overboard with it.

They took the most interesting and scariest part of the JP franchise and turned into a damn superhero....ugh. Ridiculous.

The opening scene was awesome but it was straight downhill after that...couldn't decided who was more annoying, Franklin or Zia...they both drove me nuts.

I am curious to see where the franchise next...if for nothing else just to see how they make it try and make sense.

My son loves every single JP movie no matter what, though he is seven.

I feel JP2 has been a bit romanticized over the years. I was there opening night. It landed like a wet turd. People were not amused.

Oh' yes. It is and always has been terrible. I remember coming home and talking it over with my dad. He closed his newspaper, sat next to me, and explained what happened to Jaws.

when the lava fell on its head and it didn't just bore right through and kill that thing I shook my head so hard I cracked my neck, come on now, the audience isn't that stupid

Later on when they do the transfusion Owen makes a comment that the Rex's skin is very thick. This isn't like human skin, this is dinosaur skin! It's right there, in the movie!

"What is the temperature of lava?
When first erupted from a volcanic vent, lava is a liquid at temperatures from 700 to 1,200 °C (1,292 to 2,192 °F)."

yeah idc how thick the skin is, that's bs

Wait, am I missing the joke on the lava? Lava doesn't actually melt flesh/bone, does it? I thought it basically forms a rock-like surface and burns? Maybe some geology experts can help?

Also, the comment above about the raptors going from the most terrifying creatures to superheroes is unfortunately spot on. I never thought about it like that, but yeah...They were truly something special before.

Why couldn't the Indoraptor go invisible like that one big dinosaur in the 2015 movie? Indoraptor abilities are like downgraded.

Never saw the original and saw this today with zero expectations. I had fun with it. Enjoyed it better than 2 and 3. I like the ending direction. Give me the Rock and Pratt dealing with dinos that have suddenly multiplied and taken over the planet

The Indominous didn't go invisible, it camouflaged itself in trees.

Not a geology expert, but Chris Pratt was like inches away from the lava, there is no way he would be that close and not get hot or burned by it.
