  • Added a new main menu experience
  • Globally improved visual fidelity, particularly on PS4 Pro
  • Increased the maximum value for the height offset slider
  • Various bugfixes

Changes when using PS Move controllers:
  • In direct movement, changed the secondary X button to move the player backwards.
  • Added a new option, enabled by default, to "Show Hands When Sheathed"
  • Sheath/unsheath has been moved to hold secondary O.
  • Adjusted angle for spell targeting to be more comfortable
  • The existing swimming has been moved to a new option for "Realistic Swimming". Swimming by default now uses Direct Movement style controls
  • Added option for HMD-relative direct movement instead of controller-relative direct movement.
  • Added a new option for "Realistic Bow Aiming" which uses both PS Move controllers to aim
  • Players can now point at map markers and get information on them in local map mode

User Warned: Thread whining.
Well that was a disappointment. Heres a hint OP, not a whole heap of people care about the VR version

Need to give it another try on PSVR,
I remembered accidently killing a whole bunch of important NPCs and not wanting to restart the intro

They really need to update the standard version. The game logic is tied to the frame rate and they never updated the engine (which they've since fixed) for both Skyrim SE and Fallout 4.

I'd like to hear impressions on how the Pro updates look, it was pretty rough the last time I played.

Great that they are still pumping out patches for a game this old, GG Bethesda!

Looks a lot sharper than it used to.

Visuals are still rough (it's Skyrim after all) but it's a lot less blurry.

I know it specifies PSVR in the patch notes, but do we know if this'll be rolled out to HTC/Oculus eventually as well?

Great news. Still my favorite VR games and I still have a lot of things to do. But i got distracted by TESO: Summerset.

It's a lot sharper on the pro, floor still muddy textures, but faces, walls signs all a lot better. Good improvements overall, new start menu is kinda nice too.

cool... good timing as i've been tempted to buy the PCVR version lately but seems like a waste as i still have the PSVR version. maybe the increased fidelity can stave me off another 6 months or so

Thanks, will give it a try at the weekend. I remember the panic when I got to the first village and accidentally killed someone's chicken, causing the whole town to turn against me! Stuff like that is so much more fun in VR.

Interested in what this exactly means.

So I played pre-patch and then installed and then played patched and it's noticeable. It's still blurry but it's less so then before. I noticed text looks better than before and things around your immediate surroundings look sharper then before.

I played for like ~40 min yesterday and might have been placebo but the whole experience felt better.

Definitely not placebo, I noticed an increase in resolution and more AA, possibly due to supersampling. Water does look better as well, mentioned above. Cant tell if draw distance was moved out but as a whole it definitely looks much improved.

Maybe I've just gotten really used to the control scheme but the controls felt tighter than before.

Also seeing your hands rather than controllers honestly helps a lot. Helps ground me in the world.

My comparison on PS4 Pro, it is much more visible with the headset on the head.

Bottom: Before, Top: After

awesome that Bethesda still cares to update it, kind of surprised to be honest.

just last week i thought i'll finally start playing it, glad i held off :) seeing the move controllers in-game was one of my biggest gripes, it just looked so dumb.. glad they fixed it!

Excited to jump back into this, especially with the new Pro enhancements.

[*]Added a new main menu experience
This is good. Skyrim VR was my first-ever VR game, and I thought I had set things up incorrectly when the main menu (and the first load screen) was just a static rectangle off in the distance, like watching a movie in a theater. Then again, it also made the opening of the game itself that much more impactful...

They improved the visual fidelity? That's awesome, I didn't expect something like that, I wonder if there will be any comparison videos, I stopped playing awhile back and I'm curious if it's a big enough increase to jump back in.
