Lol, interesting design. This could either be a celebratory or fearmongering poster, depending on who looks at it.
It is a great thing. But it would be wonderful if they got the reconginzation, and more importantly the respect. But yeah they shouldn't be doing it alone and more importantly without the backhandedly complimented with "they are saving us". Nah fools save yourself, you are grown ass folks and know what it is.
That's a totally nonsensical line of argument. Being in favour of more women running for office doesn't mean you automatically support all women in every race, particularly against people you may already consider an ally.

It's not the smartest policy, but it's definitely in-vogue. As it is I think we already have an issue with people doing pointless jobs that amount to nothing other than filling in forms that mean nothing. I think something like UBI accomplishes the same goal while allowing us to get rid of those pointless jobs and frees up people's time to do things that they want to do instead of having them sit in an office doing nothing for 8 hours a day. A job guarantee is the sort of policy that made sense back in the 50's and 60's when factory jobs galore were to be had, but now it's just going to feed into automation and have people working jobs that will have a negative effect on their mental health.
the district is massively democratic (trump got just 20%) so winning the primary is essentially winning the seat.
I really hope this encourages more young, bright progressives to run. This is the direction the Democratic party needs to head in.

This man controlled NYC dem politics for 20 years. The machine controls most political appointments in NYC. They were historically exceptionally good at preventing primary challengers from getting certified by the board of elections. In the national party Crowley was a candidate for leadership.
Duly noted, still been the Establishment Dems game prior and I can't imagine that changing too much at this venture.

Ocasio-Cortez is a socialist and Crowley was a top ranking Democrat that could have been the next speaker for the House if Pelosi didn't take it.

I'm all for it in liberal states, but to act like it is the direction we should go nationally? Nah.
