That's a totally nonsensical line of argument. Being in favour of more women running for office doesn't mean you automatically support all women in every race, particularly against people you may already consider an ally.
Its the stock disingenous right wing argument, (Oh you'll vote for Obama but not Mia Love?) which isnt a shock considering Greenwald started out a Ron Paul stan.
Wow. Thats interesting.
Good post in PoliEra on the machine politics background https://www.resetera.com/posts/9746183/

Lol, interesting design. This could either be a celebratory or fearmongering poster, depending on who looks at it.

"Communism will win!" is a pretty big meme phrase so I think it's DSA just mainstreaming it a bit lol

It's great that we're at the point where that can even be said, that socialism is not a frightening word.

Niiiiiiice!
Took a quick nap after a long day at work and just woke up to this news. Great day to be NYer.

Shame it won't get out of Congress let alone past Trump, but it's a good start a shifting the national conversation.
The investigations could obviously be held (a Democratic House is going to have so, so much to investigate; indeed, I expect that will be its primary occupation in the two years until the election, since with Trump in the White House there won't be much in the way of actual lawmaking going on). The legislation certainly won't get anywhere.

Very happy to see the usual establishment clowns losing their minds over this on social media. Schumer's time is coming.

That's true. Here's to winning the house then.

As opposed to saying what, exactly? She doesn't have much relationship to her, whereas Crowley is a longtime friend and ally. She congratulated her on her success in the election.

Pelosi could've looked at her platform and say that she hopes they can work together on whatever policy.

Really, there should be more than just one sentence congratulating her. I understand the epilogue for Crowley, but one sentence for AOC is not a good look.

I'm not gonna say age limits are wrong, but let's be real, she's way smarter and more savvy than a lot of those stupid old fuckers in Congress

Some people are just more mature at 28 than other people ever become

This seems like a strong indictment of whatever the hell the democratic party does to campaign (if anything at all?). Hopefully Ocasio-Cortez can help right the ship.

Congrats on her win! Moments like these make me feel optimistic.

Sidenote: She's only 28? Damn I feel like I accomplished nothing with my life.

I live in the district and haven't seen that anywhere; maybe it was used during rallies.

Great that she won; lots of people around here are stoked. Kirblar's posts essentially express my take.

Let's see how good she is at actually governing first lol

Well, there is that.

ICE simply took some functions from other agencies when it was created. Those same agencies can resume having those functions once ICE is extinguished.

Cause 90% of it is praising the guy who lost, and then tacking on, "oh right, and congrats to the winner"
Celebrating over a decade of public service and saying farewell to a colleague isn't salt.

What is she supposed to say? "Fuck the establishment! We're coming for the rest of you next!"
