Why corn in particular, and not, yunno, wheat? Here in Capitalist Hellscape it's because of corn syrup. I don't think the Soviet Union had that kinda problem.
me: why should i vote for bloomberg. he's a racist 78 year old billionaire mega capitalist whose idea of 'school reform' is 'well who needs public schools when you have all these charter schools, am i right guys', turned the nypd into his own personal cia to spy on innocent muslim citizens, and says trickle down economics is 100% real and 100% not a cover for 'liquidate the poor'.

I honestly don't know. What i do know is that tanking is never the answer.
Ocasio-Cortez characterizes narratives that pit race against class as a "fundamental misunderstanding" of how our country works: "I can't name a single issue with roots in race that doesn't have economic implications, and I cannot think of a single economic issue that doesn't have racial implications. The idea that we have to separate them out and choose one is a con."

Here is the new definition of Democratic-Socialist, the Queen has spoken!
Joking aside, I really like her but Colbert said something true the seat is just a possibility lets see how the other side uses the socialist bogeyman and if the the scare tactics work.

Yeah her seat is basically guaranteed, which is good. We need to get allies in seats that are safe. How things play out in more contentious districts is...well, we will hopefully see and learnIt's an overwhelmingly Democratic district, and Crowley isn't pulling a Lieberman. There's effectively no "other side" to worry about for November.
What happened? This world is beyond saving.
I know it's a pipe dream, but we really need to just leave this planet and start again somewhere else.
Nothing specifically, just in genreal. Just how i've felt for a while now.

It's still here, we're living in it right now. It's didn't go away at all.

No no. I get that shit won't ever go away. But as i've been saying that we as a community have done nothing to address the problem, and have even reinforced it.There's always going to be someone out there who hates people on the basis of them being "the other". I don't think it's possible to stop that. What's important is stopping systems that breed and enforce that kind of mentality.

What world needs is nationalised meeting of basic needs and socialised distribution of other resources.
Farming would be nationalised. Farmers get to keep their farms and forests and state makes sure they have resources for their work. Distribution of new resources will be decided between farmers with state as negotiator. there would be state run factories that produce basic need items.
Nationalised basic education and for positions in nationalised work. also nationalised universities.
Nationalised healthcare.
Consumerism continues as long as it can sustain itself.
Most important part is better access to resources for everyone.
