Reggie: Hollow Knight on Switch is selling "exceptionally well"

Hollow Knight and God of War are my games of the year.

Probably sell the most of all the platforms..

Amazing how well indies are doing on switch.

Hopefully it continues to sell well. Bought it over the weekend and it's certainly living up to all of the praise.

Whatever it's sold, it's not as much as it deserves to.

It was #1 on the eShop for quite a while and it's still very high... so not much of a shocker, but still great to hear nonetheless!

I've been holding off on buying it since I wanted the Switch version. It'll probably be my next game after Octopath.

And every article like this makes me hopefully for our own chances with our Switch port in August. :)

Did my part and bought it last night along with Lumines.

Incredible game.

I'm gonna say it ... It's better than Super Metroid.

They deserve every penny they did get and will.
Hope that no big company will buy them to ruin everything they made 'till now.

Them and Yacht Club are nearly perfect companies. Hope that big one will learn something from them in the end..

I would have bought it on Switch, but I already got it for free from watching The Game Awards on steam or somethin like that. Great game, you should buy it. It deserves the success.

Seriously. I thought this would be like 10 hours long, but it's a freaking content monster. Finished the game after 25 hours and it feels like there's still tons of new content to be found.

I seriously don't understand how a team the size of Team Cherry was able to pull this off. I'm not sure if they ever slept or ate during the development.

Any metroidvania fan needs no requires to own this.

Yea it shot straight to number 1 on the eshop, jthe useebase has grown so its easier and easier for thede games to sell a million

I haven't started it yet, but the reputation this game had made it an impulse buy after I caught the announcement. I think it was just £10.99 here, which I really couldn't argue with.

This might be the first game I buy twice for the same platform if it gets a physical release. It's really, really good.

This. The game is a masterpiece. Well deserved for such a polished game.

Yeah it's been #1 on the US eShop since it dropped at E3. Not sure we'll ever get hard numbers, but that probably translates to a few hundred thousand units. Glad their hard work paid off!

Amazing amazing game. Think it has officially dethroned Steamworld 2 as my favorite indie title on Switch, and that's no small accomplishment. Hell, it's one of the best Switch titles period!

Unfortunately it looks like a too long of a game for me to finish, but I did buy anyway to show support.

And it's damn cheap for what you're getting too.

It's amazing that the game absolutely obliterates the production values, graphics, and sound of something like NSMBU for only $15 dollars. Nintendo need to step up their game for the next 2D Mario in those areas. But, I don't want to get off topic. Great news for Hollow Knight indeed.

This game is freaking amazing, everyone should buy it. I'm super glad it ended up being worth the wait, and then some. I was into it off of its art style alone, but I genuinely didn't expect to be so enamored with it.

Steamspy estimated almost a million before it stopped working.

Great game and a great fit for the switch. I enjoyed playing it on several flights I took recently.

The amazing reviews and cheap price of $17.50 (AUD) made this a must buy. I just wish I had more time to play it.

Yes, it will probably be one of the best selling Switch games with the lowest ratio of finished plays. Amazing quality game nevertheless.

I'm happy so more people get to play this amazing game. I'm still considering if I should double dip just to show support.

At this rate it's going to move more copies on Switch than on Steam. I hope Team Cherry will share sale numbers in the future just like the devs from Shovel Knight did.

It totally deserves it.

I love this game.

finished it on PC a while back, one of the best metroidvania out there easily, one of the rare game i would give a perfect score, can't wait to double dip for the retrail switch release (i'm sure it will come, it has to!)

Seconded. For me it's a triple A level game.

I aim to add to that number once im done with the DK Mario + Rabbids DLC. I keep hearing great things about this game. Finally time to jump in soon.

Great, well deserved. HK is in my TOP 3 games of 2017, absolutely fantastic. Best metroidvania I've ever played and the world design / lore is amazing.

Hopefully CSH won't suffer from being sandwiched between Octopath and the Xenoblade DLC.

So great to see that, Team Cherry deserve all the recognition they're finally getting. I backed the game on Kickstarter, and played an opening hour or so on PC, but I'll double dip when they make in available on Xbox.

Absolutely. The two best Switch releases of 2018 so far, easily imo.

Quality + price. It's a no brainer.

A fantastic game, released at a relatively low price, on a highly popular and still quite new console, currently in the middle of a long period with few exciting games; I'm glad Hollow night is doing great and it's 100% deserved, but let's say it's not really surprising.

It's been number 1 on the UK eShop charts since release.
