Huh ok, I'm on level one with -5 exp to level. I did think I hit level 2 st the results screen.... how weird
Is anyone going to make a thread for the expansion? Only reason I remembered it is because I randomly booted up xv
Most people are probably pretty hesitant to make an OT for it because it'll be filled with the usual FFXV shitposts and a bunch of "when is the game gonna be finished so I can buy the whole thing yo?"
At least that was the feeling I got when people previously asked about making an OT for Comrades.
but it doesnt get applied until you camp or stay overnight at a hotel
if you end the chapter then its force applied.....I usually tack up enough xp to hit level 30 at the end of chapter 1 if you do it correctly.....you can powerlevel like crazy if done correctly early in the game

Comrades is just full of surprises!
From being able to explore and climb the Power Plant, to Aranea fighting alongside you in a quest, I'm surprised by the amount of wonderful fanservice in this expansion. And to top it all off, Cindy just cooked dinner instead of Monica! Now I'm itching for Ignis to turn up.
I think the smaller areas of Comrades really helps the performance...

Spent an hour in the character creator as suspected and I have a crush on my character :D It's a really well-done creator, though there should be a button to quickly jump to 50% while tweaking parameters and one to cancel changes of the current parameter.
Did the tutorial mission. As I said after the beta already, combat feels somehow better than in the main game, just for the new magic system alone (spells look prettier now than in the beta, I think), but I have to play more to analyze all the other aspects.

The new trophies are all visible now here in NA, but the expansion itself is nowhere to be seen on the store. Guess I gotta wait another 2 and a half hours.

Okay really need to sleep now, but I've dug in a little bit. It's looking pretty fun so far. I'm really curious how deep all this stuff goes, the story, the world, the gameplay systems. Also I wonder if they'll keep supporting it with new stuff or if everything that's here is it.

It took an entire game day to reach the top of this volcano and the sun was setting juuuust too much right as I finally reached the photo point, so now because there is no wait till morning thing, I'm literally letting the game idle to wait till morning. This is total bullshit. Even Ocarina of Time, one of the first games with a day/night cycle, knew that there had to be a time advancing spell.
Edit: As I still wait, I can not overstate the magnitude of this offense and others like it. This game crosses every bridge possible to respect a gamer's skill level and allow the experience to be accessible to them, but it has almost zero respect for the player's time. Anyone who qualifies as a fan of the series must be a grown ass adult by now, and nearly all have jobs that consist of not playing the game all day.
Edit 2: Of course, even if you did, it would seem the game wants a large portion of the experience of playing it to actually be NOT playing it.

So I have to make my party with every quest I take? Can't I just play through the whole thing seemlessly with a party of friends? Lame if so :/.
Anyone got the standalone price? Couldn't seem to find it for the OT. Also for the Subtitle I picked a part of a line from a certain character: "Many Sacrificed All For the King...," but I'm open to something more clever if anyone has an idea.
I played about 4-5 hours last night solo, with the occasional "oh someone's already playing, I'll join them for this one mission" and I found it extremely fun. I can definitely see this being a perfect choice for when you want to grind something for a bit while listening to music, podcasts or running a movie in the background.
Ah man, the clothes you can unlock are so cool. Got my 2nd clothes node before heading to work today and the stuff looks awesome! AFAIK the clothes I unlocked weren't in the beta, so I'm excited to see how much more new stuff there's to get!

I think he only did 3 themes for the DLC. All the new music must have been done by several composers again like with every DLC so far.
My biggest worry was the lack of clothing options in the beta, so it's cool that that expands over time too. Really pumped to start playing this tonight.
It'll take time to build up to the number of options the beta offered, but the options you start with and can buy early on look pretty cool in my opinion!

Btw, I don't know much about how online stuff works in games, but can you not have a set party of people here consisting of PSN friends/parties? Do you really have to manually create a camp for every mission and share the ID with your friends? oO

Wait until the free story updates throughout the next year are out too to replay it. It's gonna be really interesting to see if they'll manage to improve the narrative substantially or if it'll just feel like band-aid.

You can now accept multiple hunts at once since this month's patch. Then they added a Bestiary and Chapter Select a few months ago.
Also a new playable section with Gladio in Chapter 13 (20min-ish) and new cutscenes in Chapter 12 (explaining the gods' lore and extending a scene with Luna and Gentiana).

Yeah it's actually a bit finicky, you gotta get the enemy in to a vulnerable state then warp strike them. Doesn't always work tho, only seems to be when the prompt appears

I gotta say, I really miss the buddy-road-trip feeling of FFXV, what a great experience it was!
Oh god, I just realized I deleted FFXV after I finished the episodes that were out to make room for other stuff. This patch is huge for the base game. Guess I'll be playing tomorrow. :|
