Well that's a blast from the fucking past.

This game used to be all over the place, used and for sale at video stores or Gamestop or what have you. I never played it though.

Was it not shovelware?

I always found it funny when Reggie gives his spill. We have to release a console and make sure it is selling and has an install base.... then third parties will come. P fucking R.

I didn't want to do it, but I'm thinking of selling Switch and getting something else. I didn't plunk down all that cash last year to play ports and shovelware.

I really partly blame Konami for the void, this would have been the perfect stretch to drop some Castlevania into.

When is the last time a Nintendo portable didn't have Castlevania?

It's all bonkers.

But, Castlevania is like, dead, or at least a zombie it lives through a few smartphone games and an animated series.

Part of the team that worked on the games now works on Metroid and Bloodstained

It surprises me that it took so long. Expected this. Seems like a lower budget effort to see if this kind of public is available on Switch. A me-too title when thinking of Go Vacation! and Super Mario Party.

Crazy how many of these kinds of games were successful on Wii, I remember the likes of "Game Party" and "Big Beach Sports" charting highly in the UK.

I imagine there's still something of a market for them given 1-2 Switch's minor success

Wii Sports drew people to the Wii.
Breath of the Wild drew people to the Switch.

I'm not sure if publishers seem to understand this.
Its not a bad idea actually, 1-2 Switch sold a healthy 2 million on Switch with a humble budget compared to Breath of the Wild.wich shows there is an audience for these type of games even if ERA doesn't want to accept it

But yeah a GTA V portable edition would have been nice too, to get the biggest audience possible on the switch

You would think 2K would at least port GTA Online since it makes so much money. Switch owners would eat that up.

This was a solid game on Wii and a big seller. Yeah its casual but its nice to have variaty in the lineup. I sometimes like to play these games with family and friends.

Now a GTAV type game would be great too and sell bucketloads, but we'll see if Take Two is smart enough to invest in those type of games for Switch. I think Table Tennis should be brought back too.

Ehh, GTAV would be a title to get announced in a Direct, I think it says more that this is announced on a random Thursday.
Either way... they know what Nintendo gamers want and have been asking for. I don't think we will see GTA on switch at this point. We don't even have a Call of Duty for switch. It's amazing how some pubs are giving the switch the middle finger.

I'll stick with Go Vacation! That one's a lot of fun from the Wii days. I didn't particular care for Carnival Games. Not only is the art design not appealing to me, but the games didn't make me want to stick around back in the day.
