I'm glad they got funding to hire up, things seemed dire after the way Evolve ended.

They have interesting ideas for their games so hopefully this ends up better.

Not quite. Cliff notes, the game proliferated enough (and was successful enough in its "season 1" phase) for interest in a sequel that gets it right. But all I heard was it was a pitch traveling around Europe and US.

Evolve managed to sell millions and there was almost certainly a decent amount of DLC purchased. Yeah the community died in mere months but some money was almost certainly made up front.

That said, a sequel would still be decently surprising.
