I'm down for whatever so long as it ignores the asstacular Advance games.
The first Tactics Advance was fantastic.
The second was... The game felt like it was just about to get started and the credits rolled. I felt robbed.

My boi
I'll even take a FF12-2, just give me more races, more jobs, anything to have that world back again.
Btw i think this game deserve the label of underrated lots of people forget It exists.

Agree - didn't know there was hate around FFTA and also enjoyed that opening at the time
Better yet, they could do what the series has always done and make a game set in a whole new setting with no relation to any other game.
I would be down for that. I always wanted to see what Ramza's dad was like since he was a Heavenly Knight or whatever, right?
Ramza's dad was a powerful knight? I never knew that. Finished FFT at least three times too.
Ramza's father has the same title as Orlandu, so he was probably on par with Thunder God Cid at swordplay.Ramza's dad was a powerful knight? I never knew that. Finished FFT at least three times too.
"In the outbreak of the Fifty Years' War Barbaneth carried the Beoulve name with honor, fighting gallantly and serving the royal family. He proved himself a fierce warrior, leading the Order of the Northern Sky within the ranks of the Ivalician army against Ordalia. He secured victories where others had perished and his ferocity struck fear in the Ordalian army. After the war, he attained the title "Knight Gallant" for services rendered in the line of duty."Ramza's dad was a powerful knight? I never knew that. Finished FFT at least three times too.
Shit. Guess I have ass taste. I rather enjoyed Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Though I was young.I'm down for whatever so long as it ignores the asstacular Advance games.
Not quite. It was absorbed into the world of Ivalice, but the game was originally designed to be in a different world.
Ivalice tho.Better yet, they could do what the series has always done and make a game set in a whole new setting with no relation to any other game. I think that ever changing setting is one of the major strengths of the Final Fantasy brand.
Prequels are overdone too.
I hate arguth with passionShame Ramza's dad had a son like Dycedarg.
I never fully grasped what a garbage human being he was until I played the game again when I was older
Edit: There's Dycedarg fanart. I guess everyone has their fans...

FF12-2 would be interesting because the cataclysm happens 94 years after the events of FF12.
It sounds good but wasn't Delita...
killed shortly after being crowned? I don't know how much he could have created as a king. I might be assuming you mean that but instead you actually meant how the world changed by his machinations before that.
Either way, it could be a good idea to see the aftermath
Not really, no. The Advance games (and FFXII, for that matter) have pretty much no connection to Final Fantasy Tactics' story or setting past the use of the name Ivalice. Even then, Ivalice was the name of a country in Tactics, not the whole setting as in FFTA or FFXII.
I definitely see where you're coming from, but Suikoden V was done without its original director and it turned out fantastic, even if you could tellI don't see why anyone would get excited about this unless Matsuno would come back to do it.
No.
Ovelia stabs him and he kills her in retaliation, but he survives and has a prosperous reign.
No, he wasn't. He brought a golden age to Ivalice. It sounds good but wasn't Delita...

Dycedarg has a really nice haircut.Shame Ramza's dad had a son like Dycedarg.

Well because the creator himself said that's the route he would go. Also theres no real conflict in Ivalice after the conclusion to the story. Why does have to be a prequel...? -_-
I want to see older Ramza, maybe Alma the protagonist this time.
Pretty much. I tried to like Advance but just couldn't, would love to see FFT2 or prequel. I considered Jeane d'Arc to be the spiritual sequel and gave up hoping for a true sequel/prequel.I'm down for whatever so long as it ignores the asstacular Advance games.
Also, some of you gotta chill with the FFTA hate. The first game was fine. It wasn't FFT, but it was perfectly playable, and not literal fucking satan some of you are making it out to be.
The hate is mostly for the second one tbf, and not just for the story, I think it's mechanically a pretty poor strategy game as well
