I'm being pretty explicit but perhaps I misunderstood what your initial comment was trying to say so explain that first.
That's not discrimination, that's policy"No shirt, no shoes, no service." There is plenty of "discrimination."

Should businesses be allowed to discriminate based on whether or not you support or have ever had an abortion? She was asked to leave for her actions not her political beliefs.
Political beliefs are in no way comparable to sexual orientation/race, like you're suggesting.
It's really not a surprise coming from someone like yourself.
Look, no one has to like that SHS has the right to dine in a public space, but saying businesses should be allowed to discriminate against her based on sincerely held beliefs but not queer folk is not some slippery slope nonsense, it's the exact rationale bigots use to actually discriminate against queer folk and other minorities.
throwing people out of restaurants doesnt seem to solve any of my problems
Manager and SHS coming to an understanding and SHS leaving isn't being THROWN OUT. People are sensationalizing her account more than what happened to Miller, Nielsen and Bondi. From how people talk about what happened to SHS, you'd think EVERYBODY int he restaurant stood up in unison, pointed to SHS and her family like they were right out of the 70s Invasion of the Body Snatchers (screech included), dog-piled on them and literally FLUNG them out of the door into the street. It WAS handled in a civil manner, and that's more that how the Right handled it. Someone in their camp smeared shit on the outside of the Red Hen.throwing people out of restaurants doesnt seem to solve any of my problems
Pelosi, especially. She didn't seem enthusiastic or hopeful about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez winning over Crowley. She could've very well open her arms in support and tell Alexandria that we are all here to welcome her into the group and are ready and willing to work with her as well as listen to the new ideas she has for the party. Pelosi basically said (not exact words, but to the extent of), "Yeah, just because Ocasia-Cortez won, doesn't mean we're going to lean more towards that way of politics. It was a fluke, that's all!"Pelosi, Schumer, and Sanders need to fucking retire already
Fuck outta here with this civility bullshit

That's quite literally a freedom of speech violation. They're asking her to leave based on her actions being the mouthpiece for a fascist. She can believe abhorrent things all she wants, but she's also actively advocating and justifying policies that discriminate against the very people you want to bend over and serve her.
Way to completely miss the point. Advocating for arguments used to discriminate against your own protected class is idiotic.Brah...
Gay Sarah Sanders would get asked to leave too
Spare me the reduction of her hatred down to simply "sincerely held beliefs"
And spare me the you're just like them insinuations. K?
That's quite literally a freedom of speech violation.
Employees are not mandated by the constitution to serve her but employers are not mandated to respect a server's convictions on who they will or will not serve. Of course businesses can provide reasonable accommodations for their employees in this instance but they don't have to.

SHS was not asked to leave because she sincerely believed she was SHS, she was asked to leave because she was SHS and SHS does bad things that made the restaurant staff uncomfortable serving her.Look, no one has to like that SHS has the right to dine in a public space, but saying businesses should be allowed to discriminate against her based on sincerely held beliefs but not queer folk is not some slippery slope nonsense, it's the exact rationale bigots use to actually discriminate against queer folk and other minorities.
Depending on the state, that would constitute racially motivated intimidation or ethnic intimidation. If SHS went in with signs and shirts saying death to Mexican babies or some such nonsense, you might have a point, but she didn't so you don't.Speaking of slippery slopes:
Why do you want it to be ok for open KKK members to go into black businesses and demand service and not allow black business members to tell them to get out?
So restaurants should be allowed to refuse service if they find out a patron had an abortion and that makes a server uncomfortable?SHS was not asked to leave because she sincerely believed she was SHS, she was asked to leave because she was SHS and SHS does bad things that made the restaurant staff uncomfortable serving her.
SHS herself is a sign saying babies should be separated from parents and muslims should be banned! She helps implement those policies!Depending on the state, that would constitute racially motivated intimidation or ethnic intimidation. If SHS went in with signs and shirts saying death to Mexican babies or some such nonsense, you might have a point, but she didn't so you don't.
Who said anything about signs?Depending on the state, that would constitute racially motivated intimidation or ethnic intimidation. If SHS went in with signs and shirts saying death to Mexican babies or some such nonsense, you might have a point, but she didn't so you don't.
I did not compare queer folk to SHS. Your argument plays down both sides of the aisle, and that has implications that have impacted queer folk in the past. This is a bad thing.
You keep trying to bring it back to beliefs when it's not about beliefs. SHS's beliefs weren't uncovered, she was judged by her extremely public actions. If restaurants don't want to serve Hillary Clinton because of her pro choice actions, they can. A baker refused to host Biden while he was campaigning and I don't remember that baker getting death threats from liberals, but Paul Ryan did bring the baker on the campaign trail and tried to make a hero out of him.So restaurants should be allowed to refuse service if they find out a patron had an abortion and that makes a server uncomfortable?
