ZzzzzzZzzzZzz...
I loooooooooove the aggressive kerbs here that render stewards intervention on track limits effectively moot. India, however much I hated that venue, had the best though. Those kerbs were so high that Massa broke his car twice on the same weekend running over them. He blamed the track and not, you know, himself, for exceeding limits.

To an extent I agree: punish drivers for mistakes. However, high kerbs are always dangerous when you hit them high speed, and you don't always do it because you suck or something. Remember this in Spa a couple years ago?

That gap to the Ferraris for the Mercs - on this short lap - is not a good indicator for an entertaining race tomorrow :/

Great showing from BOT, GRO and LEC.

Hoping for a clean start from everyone, last race was a farce.

RIC complaining about not getting a tow in all 3 Q3 runs. VER saying this was the plan all along, also mentioned he was the lead car (giving RIC a tow) last week at Paul Ricard.

A lot of fuss about nothing...

0.019 seconds between pole and second. Wow.

So what's Ric's problem? Apparently, they've been doing this for the last 7 years.

Pissed off with his car setup (he is running more downforce than Max), Pissed off he doesn't have a championship winning car under him, pissed off he has no options for 2019.
On top of that, consistently losing the qualifying battle with Max for the past one and a half years.

I mean what was his problem with the towing thing, but I gotcha. Seems like he just didn't want to.

Spectacular last lap by Markelov! Such a shame he had such bad luck this season as well as qualifying poorly.

Thanks FIA, now we will watch an incredibly exciting Mercedes 1-2. Ridiculous how we have drivers wrecking every weekend and others impeding constantly both in quali and race and not a single penalty is ever given, but some others really are punished for the smallest issues. In a vacuum, this penalty is fair. However, this isn't in line with FIA's rulings as of lately.

To me it was as clear as a block as you can get. If this doesn't get a penalty and it sets precedent, basically no block can be punished anymore.
well tbh I didn't watch the replay when I made my post. I just thought it'd be stupid to punish Vettel for that because even though Sainz' lap was destroyed, he made it to Q3 anyway so Vettel didn't really change anything. After watching the replay tho I'm a bit more split on that... It's only 3 places though.

Considering his driving standards of late, it's probably a good thing he is starting further back. Wouldn't want him interfering with the championship battle out front.
