Kingdom Hearts' story is convoluted
A few Zelda games take a while to get going
--botw on wii u has a clunky UI which probably would have been better if they'd kept the touchpad functionality)
Golden Sun has some bad dialogue
GTA V's menus are unintuitive, especially online
Perfect Dark was too much for the n64 to handle
Resistance 2 and 3 had weak endings
Burnout Revenge can be glitchy at times

New Vegas has quite a few technical issues even after patches and Dead Money is God awful. It also wasn't really a looker even when it came out and the Strip is disappointing.

Bloodborne's under 30fps for an action game based on timing is very annoying, the chalice dungeons were unfinished and boring to run through and I hate how much effort it takes to start a build without using one of the early weapons.

The Overwatch DLC characters have been more miss than hit in both visual design and gameplay design and the loot box system still needs more overhauls. 2 CP maps are also a slog.

Dragon Age Origins has some really annoying difficulty spikes, relatively linear and boring skill trees and mediocre class balance. In addition the lore dumps at the start of the game are kind of generic and overwhelming if it's your first playthrough.

Mass Effect 1 doesn't have enough weapon feel variety and a lot of the side planets are too empty/rehashed.

Civ V + DLCs still have mostly awful diplomatic AI and the new culture victory is a boring slog.

Wasteland 2 uses Unity which means it runs worse than it should.

Divinity Original Sin has annoyingly long range frequent audio NPC chatter.

Gears 3's campaign is actually pretty boring in a lot of parts.

Xcom Enemy Within runs much worse than the base game on my PC for no discernible reason.

Super Mario Galaxy doesn't really have intrusive waggle but it would still be nice to disable it.

For Honor had garbage networking for way too long.

Metroid Prime 2 I would've given Agon Wastes better music and done something to make it stand out a bit more visually

Mass Effect 3 - the ending(s), duh
Twilight Princess - the tear hunting
Mass Effect 2 - the plot is generally nonexistent due to a focus on characters and worldbuilding
Metroid Prime 3 - spoken dialogue and increased focus on story is unnecessary
Breath of the Wild - missed opportunity to focus on the lore and world, lack of story and character development, not enough NPCs or a living world (this was an intentional design decision, obviously, as it's a post-apocalyptic world of sorts)
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U - frustrating roster cuts and other missing features from Melee and Brawl
The Wind Waker - the Triforce quest
Overwatch - poor balancing philosophy, lack of progression rewards or other features to encourage long-term play, no teambuilding/role queue feature until last week
Mass Effect - too many RPG elements like useless amounts of weapons and armor, clunky menu interfaces and combat that have aged very poorly
Metroid Prime 2 - dark world sapping your health and being extremely dangerous in general is an interesting concept but largely a pointless frustration, certain environments are bland and lack the color and character of Tallon IV
Life Is Strange - the garbage endings
Deus Ex: Human Revolution - the stupid boss fights
Super Mario Odyssey - repetitive moon quests across each world
BioShock Infinite - shitty "both sides" moral relativism that largely undermines any political point of the game, convoluted story that falls apart at the end
The Last of Us - repetitive combat environments that stick out from the rest of the world and ruin immersion
Monster Hunter World - post-game sucks and has nothing to do but fight tempered elder dragons and play the RNG game for decorations or relic weapons

World of Warcraft really fucked up after MoP (and even in Wrath with the dungeon finder). Blizzard keeps shitting on this game and BfA looks boring as shit. Legion was lukewarm.

Diablo 3's end game gets very boring after you get your set and have to hunt for anicents.

Suikoden 2 is glitchy as all hell, to the point that music is absent, I can powerlevel my characters to be unbeatable for the first half of the game, and massive amounts of dialogue remain untranslated and show up as broken text.

Sonic Mania focused far too much on reused levels.

Chrono Trigger, with its time travel mechanic, should've been non-linear from the start.

Super Metroid should've used the grapple beam more often, had a better walljump, and should've used the original Evacuate theme (instead of Ridley's music) in the final escape.

Compared to the writing and character development, the combat could have used some improving in the last of us. Also the story was clichéd to hell and back.

The tanker section in RE7 was WAY too long and the last act did not have to be a shoot-em-up.

The plot holes in Halo 3 drive me insane.

The Witcher 3's combat didn't need to be so floaty.

The part of Alien Isolation where you're only fighting Androids could have been entirely cut out.

YS 8 looks like a ps2 game at best, that being said, I love how "blue sky dreamcast like" is the game

It might have the best magical atmosphere possible but Dragon Quest VIII is still a turn based RPG at most basic level. And it still requires certain amount of grinding of the last boss.

Final Fantasy XII is the best FF game but it has the worst main character possible. It could have done without Vaan and Penello.

Sora is a dork.

large gender issues throughout Yakuza, Metal Gear and Snatcher.

Gambling in Dota2.

The Team Ico games suffer from performance issues.

Deadly Premonition has at least one character that felt fairly problematic.

Dark Souls' second half falters, especially Lost Izalith.

In Life is Strange, doing that bottle collection thing...again... was a bad choice. There had to be a better way.

In Breath of the Wild, the repeated combat shines were disappointing, and a clear step down, next to the puzzle shrines. They should have mixed it up more.

In XCOM 2, the performance enhancements in the expansion should really be in the base game, too. It's ridiculous that they aren't, engineering issues and mod compatibility be damned.

In Divinity: Original Sin 2 (and 1!), Pet Pal is too damn good. You can't make me make this choiceeeee

Since seeing the light of 60fps with PC gaming, all the old classics that run below that are now unbearable to play.

Witcher 3 could have toned down the Witcher Sense. Just was abused too often for quest solutions. Also, combat was imbalanced. Even on the highest difficulty, Igni was just too overpowered and stun-locked everything to death outside of a few foes(that were also easily dispatched with different magic).

FFXII had a tumultuous development that deserved better, but it lost with editorial and other mandates that pushed protagonists and narrative issues into what could have been likely a stronger and tighter story. Also, most of the gambit system and combat thrills were reserved for the optional hunts, while the critical path barely really challenged the player to engage with any of it.

Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze - The bonus rooms aren't very interesting.
NieR Automata - I don't like the ending.
Persona 4 - Baits you into thinking 2 characters are LGBT but goes back on it.

NieR Automata: 2B's skirt and associated achievements/trophies are real turn-offs. Also, Route B could have been remixed a bit more.

Melee:

Puff's bair is stupid
While I'm actually a defender of wobbling, the actual act of wobbling kind of ruins the pacing of matches.
A good portion of the cast feels improperly designed or unfinished or wrong in terms of hitboxes (G&W, Roy, and Kirby)
Some people disagree with this but I actually feel like its successors had better single-player content, at least Brawl certainly did IMO
The way dashback works without UCF is dumb
I like the community a lot overall but I'm not gonna try and excuse it for being problematic or especially unwelcoming to women in some ways
The FPS on Fountain of Dreams makes it competitively unplayable for doubles, which is kinda silly
No Smashville
Can permanently hurt your hands if you play too much and don't do hand stretches properly

SFV dlc stages are too expensive (though you could get them for free with fight money , dollar wise they are a bit expensive).

Destiny 2 PVP is still kinda lame.

Breath of the Wild breakable weapons and shield were dumb.

Gran Turismo Sport needs to lose the online only aspect and give you the option of more offline.

SF 30th Anniversary Collection audio volume is so low it's embarrassing. It's about 1/10th the normal volume of any other game. That's actually my biggest issue with it at the moment. Did everyone who tested it have super hearing?

"Demon's Souls" is kind of perfect so ummmm........the pure bladestone drop rate is nonexistent. My other fav,"Resident Evil 4" was loaded with QTEs and was one of the games that popularized it unfortunately.

Fire Emblem

their characters are too damn young involved with wars and shit

Bloodborne

i wish they provide difficulty between normal and hard, you know not too difficult but challenging enough

Horizon Zero Dawn

need more dinosaurs robot

Itadaki Street/Fortune Street

they should localized the PS4 version for the western market

Titanfall 2

single campaign should be longer a bit

i wish they provide mode that you can fight with the AI, i was late to the party when i bought this game, so playing with other people was too damn hard because i was such a noob

they need to fix matchmaking system i guess

The one big problem about The Last of Us is that it's too good.

- Final Fantasy IX has a bad battle speed and the speed up feature is pretty much non-adjustable in Steam-version
- Quake 1, ability to look everywhere with mouse should have been default from get go instead of enabling it via console (can't believe I completed the whole game without knowing you could do it)
- Dark Souls should have had warpable bonfires to every visited bonfire after getting Lordvessel
- Nioh, lack in enemy variety and dislike when enemies spawn in timer, especially against dual bosses

Breath of the Wild has super weak story elements, and nothing disrupts the strengths of the game more than when it stops to try and tell its story.

God of War (2018) - Pacing is off towards the end, the invisible birds shouldn't have been more than like 16, def not 52.

Bloodborne - It ended. Seriously though, long load times were a pain and the warp system should not have required returning to the Dream.

Warcraft 3 - They never made a fourth.

LoZ Twilight Princess - Lightbug collecting was tedious at times.

WoW: The Burning Crusade - Servers went down far too often, even months after launch some weekends during raids everything would bug out.

Demons Souls - That Plague area wasn't a git gud area, it was torture. I wouldn't change it for the world, but man is it horrible.

Bloodborne's need to spawn back to the Hunter's Dream everytime. I like it but sometimes I wanted to go directly from A to B. Fixed in DS3.

Breath of the wild could use some more secrets / dungeons.

Sly3 could have had less mini-games

Duke 3D could have had a better sequel

Final Fantasy Tactics has a serious reverse difficulty curve, with the majority of the hardest battles occurring in the early chapters.

Geralt is a pain in the ass to move around in small, precise directions in The Witcher 3. I actually like the combat though.

I hate the elevator fight in Metal Gear Solid.

Horizon Zero Dawn has a side quest masquerading as a main quest. Looking at you, Dervhal.

Street Fighter 5 takes too long to load, doesn't have instant rematch, and doesn't let you pick your character at the select screen before online matches.

Mass Effect 1
-The weapons and characters could have better customization
-There should have been better rewards for exploration
-The squad members should have better side stories
-The romance option is completely useless and should have not existed

Ico
-As much as I like the art style of the game the first section of the game the is a bit bland

Warcraft 3 is pretty much perfect for me.
But if I would be forced to say something negative, it would be the graphics. Even at the time when it was launched, it could have been a tad better.

Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne has oddly compressed audio for the soundtrack, which does it a huge disservice.
