I'm gonna need Eve and Konstantin laughing together in the car, that was one of my favorite scenes of the season.

I was hoping for BBC America to post the gifs themselves, but had to turn to the filth that inhabit tumblr for it:

So, uh, can someone explain the last scene to me? As much as it can be explained? Like, did Eve want to kill her or not? I get the she's confused but normal, non-psychopathic people don't suddenly jump from stabbing someone with a knife to "oh my god don't move so I can get some bandages."

Also how the heck did Villanelle manage to get away with a wound like that? I thought she was dead for sure.

She wanted to kill her, then immediately regretted it. Pretty simple.

Did they ever explain why Carolyn was meeting with Villanelle in the prison?

I think I missed that if so. There were parts that I was confused about that I've been trying to work out but couldn't think of anything for that. I probably have to re-watch to understand the jobs and secret positions people have like all of Konstantins connections.

I really love this show. So excited about season 2.

I get it, I'm just having trouble believing it. Or at least, I'm having trouble getting into Eve's headspace when her emotions could whiplash that quickly. Around whether or not to kill someone for goodness sakes.

Considering their unorthodox relationship at this point, including a moment beforehand where she trashed Villanelle's apartment, nothing really surprises me at this point.

To put it simply: Eve is weird.

It's such a slow method of killing that she thought she could do it, but once she was in mid kill it turned out she couldn't and had to stop. Goes along with Villanelle's idea that some people just can't do it. But still caught her by surprise that Eve would even try.

i just watched the pilot for this and this show is so so good. Sandra Oh's acting when she discovered the body showed why she's a TV veteran. Glad she's not being held back by Greys anymore.

I think I had 8 episodes on my DVR before I started watching. I sat down to watch one or two because it seemed kind of interesting. Didn't realize I'd get so hooked to the show so quickly and marathoned a bunch of episodes before finishing the next morning.

The "Twelve" and the conspiracy stuff doesn't quite click but Eve, Villanelle and their relationship was the most compelling thing on TV this year. I've been recommending the show to everyone I know.
The one thing that bothered me was that both of their bosses betrayed them but there doesn't seem to really be any follow up or major calling out from Eve's side.

'Killing Eve': Phoebe Waller-Bridge to Produce Season 2 With New Writer, Directors
As Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer prepare to resume their cat-and-mouse game in the second season of BBC America hit "Killing Eve," Emerald Fennell is taking over from Phoebe Waller-Bridge as lead writer on the show, and two women have joined the directing team.

Waller-Bridge is in demand as a writer and actor, with her breakout hit "Fleabag" also entering its sophomore season. She landed an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series for "Killing Eve." She will remain actively involved as executive producer on the new season, which has started shooting in Europe.

Lead writing duty now goes to writer-actor Fennell, who will serve as an executive producer and is best-known for her role in the BBC and PBS series "Call the Midwife." Waller-Bridge brought Fennell on board, and was also instrumental in attaching two new directors to the series, Lisa Bruhlmann ("Blue My Mind") and Francesca Gregorini ("Electric Dreams"). Damon Thomas returns as a director and executive producer.

The first season was shot across Europe, and the second season will shoot in locations including Amsterdam, London and Paris.

Yeah, I recently finished watching S1, and I loved it. I hope this doesn't lead to diminished quality in S2...

Hmm, I'm excited for the new directors, they seem to be an inspired choice (also love that they're pushing relatively unknown woman directors)
It's (~hopefully~) not the end of the world. PWB didn't write all of the first season. (albeit I'd have a much more relaxed attitude if PBW did all of TV)

I hope the second season holds up in quality. I'm getting ready to do a re-watch of the first season since they have some extended type of episodes that aired recently.

This has started in the U.K. and the entire thing has gone up on iPlayer. All done in a day.

I consume a lot of media and this. This is something special. Never have I felt so bad for laughing so hard.

They create a terrifying character and then you care so much for that character and laugh with that character.

Thanks to the UK premiere we got some new coverage including a very nice interview of our lord and saviour Phoebe Waller-Bridge:
The Guardian: Phoebe Waller-Bridge: 'I have an appetite for transgressive women'
Phoebe Waller-Bridge is sitting in an upmarket restaurant, asking me to teach her how to burp at will. "I can't armpit fart and I can't fake burp, and I think that's a tragedy," she says. We met about five minutes ago; I'm not quite sure how we reached this point. Waller-Bridge is tall, gangly, preppy. Head-girl material. But a rebel head girl who likes to get everyone into trouble – herself included.

She is trying her best to burp, but nothing is coming. "How d'you do it?" she pleads. I let one rip. "You really commit with your face," she says approvingly, before trying again. Eventually a little burp peeps out. "That was really delayed," she complains. "I've got good comedy timing with my farts, though."

Seems like this getting quite the coverage in the UK.
Tome to binge it on BBC boxsets.

Just watched the 1st two epsiodes, no spoilers please, felt a bit how Hitman 2016 could be if a TV series except it has a spy tracking the Assassin as a major plot point, and of course the Assassin is female instead.

But the fact that in
eps 1 there was Paris and Italy ( even had the italion mansion), eps 2 had Paris, the place where the perfume event was held, the room felt like the upstairs in Paris mansion in Hitman and I kept thinking shoot the chandelier lol, but nope she used Poison instead, good choice Agent Villanelle

Entertainment Weekly has first images of season 2! (I'm putting them in a quote in case we have some that worry about spoilers)

And The Guardian named it their no1 show of the year!
It's a worthy winner of our countdown. We look forward to the next series and hope that it is good enough to top every poll next year too, because Killing Eve killed it in this.

Which means we also got a nice new interview with Jodie Comer! (yes absolutely everything of this is worthy of exclamation points tyvm)

"What I loved about the kills, though," Comer says, "was that it was always something you'd never, ever think. It was never 'someone gets stabbed'. There was always something creative about it. She thrives off what she does, she cares about what she does, so it made sense to me that she would care about the detail."
"With every drama, you don't know how it's going to go. Of course, I was obsessed with Fleabag [Waller-Bridge's own breakthrough], so I always knew that whatever Phoebe touched turned to gold. But the style was so alien to me," she says. "I second guessed every choice that I'd made."

Was Villanelle little more than a caricature? Was she just really over the top? Comer went against her instincts to create the assassin. "I had this impression that, to do good acting, everything is minimal, really whispered, less is more," she says. "What I learned playing Villanelle is that there is acting that can be so full of life and bold that it is ridiculous at times. There was something very freeing about playing her."
