Really excited to pick this one up day 1. Initially I was skeptical (mostly put off by the price tag), but the demo proved me wrong. Can't wait!

Hope other impressions are equally as positive.

I'm constantly fluctuating between digital and physical but for games like this I'm going physical despite of how little space it takes, the box is just too good to pass (In fact, I tend to do that with most JRPGs, Ys VIII Switch's package is just beautiful and has a lot of extra stuff that I wasn't expecting).

Won't be playing it at launch, because Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is nowhere near finished, and Mario+Rabbids is still untouched. Octopath Traveler will be my next purchase, though.

Yay! First review is super positive! Can't wait for more impressions and reviews which apparently are on July 6? Hopefully that's a great sign!

Definitely getting this as a physical game since the boxart looks tremendous.

Hoping it turns out well, as something that integrates the best aspects of 1990's jrpgs minus the grinding out experience points.

I'd assume not having to spend lots of time on CGI cutscenes means more time invested elsewhere like in story, balancing, music, etc.

This sounds good. The prologue demo changed my opinion on the game totally. The first demo soured me, the prologue demo totally sold me. I need this. I really, REALLY need this!
