A conservative author and filmmaker recently pardoned by President Donald Trump is under fire after retweeting a Twitter post with the hashtag #burnthejews.

Dinesh D'Souza pleaded guilty to using a "straw donor" in order to make an illegal campaign contribution to a U.S. Senate race in 2012. In 2014, D'Souza entered his plea and was eventually sentenced to five years probation, eight months in a halfway house and a $30,000 fine. On May 31 of this year, President Trump issued a pardon, saying D'Souza "was treated very unfairly by our government."

Fast forward one month. D'Souza is currently promoting a new film which compares Trump to Abraham Lincoln. In service of that self-promotion, D'Souza retweeted a Twitter post by user @RedManDan84. Twitter subsequently suspended that account, but not before multiple users made screenshots of D'Souza's retweet:

Yeah i heard about the burnthejews one. He was retweeting praise for that godawful film and claims he didn't notice. Tweets aren't that long dude.

Fun unrelated fact. My kindle fire autocorrect changed "burnthejews" into "bitterness".

No idea about his history of racism or anti semitism. However if I speak in general .

Many Indians are often racist towards black ppl (I find it highly ironic they'll be racist towards black ppl and then complain whites are being racist towards them ) .

Am not sure about anti Semitic views in India tho . Plus this guy is now American and has lived here a while so dunno how that factors in .

It's cool, he's a "minority POC" so we're to pretend he doesn't support white supremacy
Yup.

Whiteness is a social construct and different groups who were not considered white were ultimately absorbed into whiteness. On the road to becoming white, they trample the existing people of color in society and try to distance themselves as much as possible, in the process becoming extremely racist in the process. It happened with Irish immigrants, it happened with Italian immigrants, it happened with Greek immigrants and it appears to be happening with the next waves of immigrants.

Did anyone notice that the one with "#bringbackslavery" also had a "#gamersriseup" hashtag?

These people are so pathetically delusional. It would almost be funny if they weren't managing real fucking damage.

Some are fully aware of this and still are complicit. The (false) sense of acceptance and desire to belong can be the perfect catalyst in developing an identity crisis/ self deception.

It can't be understated how much Indian people are racist. I'm Indian and most of my family absolutely hates "dark skin" people. My friends in college we're the same. But what Dinesh is tweeting... Is on another level.

I've heard of it as well. Heard about and seen active hostility towards american black people from East Asian immigrants and bizarrely enough African immigrants as well. Its really obvious that there's a racial pecking order and people come in and immediately pick up on that. Its really sad because much of the opportunities that these other groups enjoy are the result of the people who were already there putting their lives on the line. Like either they don't know or don't care because the desire to be folded into the dominant group is so strong that they'll participate in the tearing down of disadvantaged groups who have been suffering for generations.

I think the terms "racial triangulation" and "lateral racism" encompass what I'm talking about

This is why you can't use the POC term as a way to say to your are not racist towards people of the same color. There is such a thing as self hate and yes this person does not see himself as a black person.

My personal experience with Indian people has been great, honestly. Of course I know about the caste system and skin lightening and how that internalized colorism is inherent poison, especially for people who get so dark.

My personal experience from Indian people from India has been overwhelmingly of love, though. They've always embraced me and I can never not tell this story when I hear about anti black Indians.

My student job in college hired a bunch of Indian dudes so we got cool as fuck. People were jealous how cool I was with these different guys they barely got to know. Anyway, there was a black boss and a white boss and whenever the white boss got the white workers together they would talk behind the black boss' back unknowing that Indian student worker Mustafa didn't like that fake shit, listened to everything they said and would feed the black boss intel on the low. Mustafa is a decent person though and Denish is trash.

On the other hand, I dated one woman from India and when she said she couldn't be attracted to X race of man, I was uneasy and couldn't help imagine another woman saying the same thing only with my race excluded. Obviously she can be attracted to whoever she wants but the reason she gave seemed stereotypical and lame though I appreciated her honesty. She was very brown herself and I remember her saying basically she couldn't find dark skin unattractive since she was dark too.

These are anecdotal experiences, obviously and I'm not saying Indian cultures or most any other worldwide cultures don't have some significant form of anti-blackness. What I am saying is the political pandering dog whistle style of using American racial stereotypes to attack the first black president is supporting white supremacy like most "conservatives" in America do.

Taking this piece of shits American political propaganda and saying "many Indians are racist" doesn't paint a full and detailed picture of this specific assholes' evil, imo.
