This is gonna sound like r/thatHappened, but I knew a guy in high school who was a proud libertarian, and was explaining in our (rather small, nine student) chemistry class that he's a libertarian and how he was like Ron Swanson. Now, this kid was the dorkiest, most snively goddamned kid imaginable; he couldn't have been further from the character. So, being the asshole I am, retorted, "Ryan, your shitty views don't make you cool." Not the most eloquent rebuttal, but it shut him up somehow.
