And something just occurred to me.

Why did Jackie take the waiter uniform if all he was going to do was going to go through the door and shout at everyone? There were no guards at the door or anything, he could have just walked in without beckoning the waiter over and taking his uniform.

Did Jackie just want a change of outfit? Does he just enjoy carrying food on silver trays? Was it some elaborate ploy to make sure the waiter didn't get caught in the crossfire when shit eventually went down?

Anyway. Classic film, nearly 20 years old and Brett Ratner's masterslice.

It's been ages since I've watched Rush Hour. I wonder how well it's aged (I fear badly)

How many times have you watched Ratner's true masterpiece?

Sometimes I still can't believe they wrote and filmed the scene of Jackie dropping the N bomb. Twice!!!

This is the scene right?

Well, Tucker was alone in the restaurant so Jackie took the uniform to enter the room and see what is happening. The plan in the beginning was not enter and shout, but when Jackie sees Tucker in danger he tries to stop them shouting and showing his badge.

The first two movie are really good.

I fucking love this movie, bought the trilogy on blu-ray a few months ago, rewatched part 1 and it still holds up.

Just a funny, quotable, rewatchable movie.

Did the complete restaurant staff die in that gas explosion?

The jail scene where hes bragging some nonsense like Eddie Murphy in Trading Places was hilarious, but Rush Hour is Ratners true GOAT

Seen it so many times I feel like I could quote every single line Tucker says in Rush Hour

God I love that movie so much. So many stupid and laughable lines.
"50 million dollars? Man, who do you think you kidnapped? Chelsea Clinton?"

"This is the LAPD. We're the most hated cops in all the free world. My own mama's ashamed of me. She tells everybody I'm a drug dealer."

"20 million in twenties... ten million in tens... Okay, do you want any fives with that?"

I loved Rush Hour 1 and 2 as a kid. Never realized back then how refreshing/uncommon it was that both leads for a buddy cop movie were non-white.

"DAMN! He ain't gonna be in Rush Hour 3" is still one of the greatest lines in cinema

Still one of the best movies ever.

The sequel was good too. That snoopy scene kills me everytime.

I never saw the third one but the first 2 were great. I still prefer Shanghai Knights among my Jackie Chan buddy movies.

Didn't he have to go upstairs and navigate the corridors there? If another server sees him then he looks just like an employee and not a guest that took the wrong turn in need to get guided back.

If Rush Hour is on TV, you watch it.

If you watch one Rush Hour, you have to watch both Rush Hours.

That's how it works.

I can't even imagine. Loved the movie on release but I saw it last year and thought it aged like a wicker basket of dickcheese.
