This makes no sense .

How is that Lakers support roster any better than Cleveland's?

Where's the "Kyrie equivalent" on this Lakers team?

How exactly is he gonna get past the Warriors with this team?

Like, what the hell???

JaVale and Lance antagonize Draymond so much that he does something dumb and gets suspended.

LeBron pays off BBB to run over Curry like this in exchange for keeping Lonzo on the team:

We'll look back and fondly remember Lebron as the last superstar to beat a great team.

Yeah, okay. We can pretend the Eastern conference has not been a complete joke in terms of competition for the last 8 years if you'd prefer.

LeBron can only play who's in front of him.

If he got eliminated in the East, the narrative would be, "lol he couldn't make it out of the garbage EAST, LOL LeBron!"

Couldn't you trade Randle for a first round pick and an expiring contract to someone? Surely some team would have done that, and then you can package the pick in another trade if you want to. Randle is at least worth a protected first at this point. I don't get that decision at all.

Randle did not want to sign with LA, surely not for one year, and surely not so that they can ship him off elsewhere. I doubt anyone is offering a first for Randle when they can just sign him.

I mean, no offense, but no shit he can only play in front of him. I am stating that the reason why he has gone to 8 straight finals is because the Eastern conference has been historically terrible and he has very few, if any, challenges. His finals record supports the idea that he would not have gone to the finals 5 of the 8 times had he been in the West.

He gets praise for getting to the finals 8 straight times, and I believe that a significant reason for that is because he is (was) in the Eastern conference.

Of course part of it was that he was in the East, but it's a testament to him as well... as a player.

To imply he didn't deserve that or hasn't earned it is quite ridiculous though.

The accomplishment is grossly overstated because there were no true contenders outside a small handful over the eight finals runs. Had Boston been healthy this year, I'd say they would have been a true contender. Outside of them? 2012 Pacers and 2011 Bulls, I guess?

"The accomplishment is grossly overstated"

Because it's impressive.

You're acting like LeBron just went home every off season, ate Cheetos on the couch, and fucked off because he knew the East stood no chance.

Nah, you're reading too far into it. People use it as an argument that he is the greatest of all time and compare his finals streak to Jordan's playoff record. Lebron is insanely talented, but he would not have his playoff record if it weren't for the East sucking for so long. My posts are in context of that argument.

Fair enough.

So some NBA reporter tweeted that the Lakers declined to give Cousins the same payday he got from the Warriors. I guess his value is overrated.
